But can Amy convince the sentient virus to turn to good and not evil?
Sonic the Hedgehog #5
Trust Me...
She's Robotnik's supreme Secret Police officer - and the resistance's greatest double-agent. Nobody can ever be entirely sure what side Rouge the Bat is really on, but Sonic has no choice but to trust her. An unknown traitor in Knothole, secret refugee camp and base of the Freedom Fighter group run by the exiled Princess Sally Acorn, is about to blab the location of the village to Robotnik! Only Rouge can help Sonic identify the traitor and stop them before it's too late, but is he only walking himself into a trap?
Sonic the Hedgehog #6
Bittersweet Sugar: Part 1 of 3
It turns out being partially roboticized leaves a psychological scar on the victim -- a strange love for their 'creator'. Bunnie is torn between pleasing her 'creator' and being a Freedom Fighter. Although she refused to reveal the location of Knothole village she agreed to lead a direct assault upon it backed up by mindless badniks.
What's going to happen to Knothole Village? Is there any hope at all for Bunnie Rabbot?
Sonic the Hedgehog #7
Bittersweet Sugar: Part 2 of 3
The Freedom Fighters always knew there might be an attack on Knothole - but not by one of their own! While the Badniks can be destroyed, Sonic finds himself outmatched as he can't bring himself to attack his friend, while Bunnie's reluctantly able to attack him! The Freedom Fighters win the fight, but what do they do with Bunnie now? Their only option is to try and break the psychological programming the Roboticiser caused, and hope that she'll survive - and that they won't need to fight her again, as Sonic's too badly beaten to move...
Sonic the Hedgehog # 8
Bittersweet Sugar (Part 3 of 3)
The only freedom fighters not involved in the badnik battle are Antonie D'Coolete and Dr. Quack -- and they're the last line of defense for Princess Sally, who seems to be Bunnie's target. Antonie, in his unyielding love for the Princess, positions himself in front of Sally and acts as a 'human' shield.
But for some reason, he can't bring himself to attack her. Bunnie continues to beat him up but he simply stands back up again and again. Finally, Bunnie has a vision where she has a battle against Robotnik, enraged that she has to hurt her friends so much. Then, she stops fighting and sobs.
The above ground village was mostly destroyed but no lives were lost and Dr. Quack is certain extensive therapy will eventually cure Bunnie. (End!)
Sonic the Hedgehog #9
A Tale of Two Tails.
Knothole Village is being restored to it's beauty, after the attack dealt by Robotnik. The Freedom Fighters can't get a break, though, they have to keep doing what they must, and that includes going on routine missions into Robotropolis. Sonic is on one such mission when he's ambushed by Badnik's. But, all is not lost as he's saved by an odd two-tailed boy.
He calls himself Miles, and is one of the orphans living in Robotropolis. He also happens to be a genius of a kid. But, when Miles' orphanage becomes targetted, it's up to Sonic and his newfound pal to save the others of the orphanage.
The orphanage is burnt down, but the children are all safe, and during the ordeal, Sonic has found out young Miles can fly! Sonic and Miles help evacuate the orphaned and homeless children back to Knothole with the help of resistance members within the city.
Back at Knothole, it's night time, and Sonic, Miles, and the other Freedom Fighters are all sitting around a campfire, with Sonic finishing off the story of what happened today. With a laugh, he slaps his hand on Miles' back, and calls him Tails. A new Freedom Fighter is recruited.
(New member here. Sorry if I'm doing this wrong... )
Sonic the Hedgehog #10
A Weasel, A Wolf, and a Dingo
The Freedom Fighters have received information about Dr. Robotnik building an island prison, with the island being called "Robotnik Island". They then decide to get onto the island and break out the prisoners, but there's one problem; they have no idea where it is. Luckily, they have also received information about a factory just outside of Robotropolis that may have a disc in it that tells the location of the island. Sonic decides to go to the factory by himself, thinking that the "mission will be extremely easy". However, upon arriving, he finds Sleet and Dingo waiting for him along with their new accomplice, Nack the Weasel. They then tell Sonic that the whole "data disc" thing was just a ruse to try and get a Freedom Fighter (in this case, Sonic.) out into the open, although Robotnik Island is real. Sonic then takes on the trio in a fight that goes throughout the entire factory. Sonic is able to defeat Sleet and Dingo, but Nack is able to knock him out. Nack then comments on "Well, you wanted to find out the location of Robotnik Island, so your wish is about to come true!"
To Be Continued...
(Yes, Robotnik Island is supposed to be "Eggman Island" from SegaSonic Arcade.)
Sonic the Hedgehog #11
Doing Porridge
Welcome to Robotnik Island - where those Robotnik really hates are sent away, viciously interrogated, and finally roboticised when he has no more use for them. It's full of desperate Mobians, most willing to do anything to stay in the warden's good books to stave off Roboticisation.
But is Sonic going to put up with this? Is he heck! He quickly gains the respect of two of his fellow convicts, quiet strongman Mighty the Armadillo and mercenary Fiona Fox, and he starts shaking things up. He also starts working on a plan of escape, one that will involve a recent arrival - Tekno the Canary, formerly one of Robotnik's weapons designers!
But while Sonic plots the breakout, the Freedom Fighters of Knothole have a problem of their own...
Sonic the Hedgehog #12
Out of the Frying Pan
Sonic and co. devise a way to break out of Robotnik Island - the two main elements being Sonic's speed, and Mighty's strength, and their plan goes underway. However, the group are split into two - Sonic and Mighty want to help the others escape, while Fiona and Tekno are more concerned about saving their own skin. And so to satisfy all four of them, Fiona lets loose all the prison cells, and causes a riot amongst the prisoners - buying the group enough time to escape, along with whoever else takes advantage of the riot.
Just before they can get off the island through one of the cargo ships docked in bay, they're met up with ragtag prisoners, all wanting to get off the island as well - but there's too many, and they may compromise the escape.
What can Sonic do to catch a break these days?
And Into the Fire
Robotnik knows that the pesky blue rodent has been imprison on Robotnik Island, and he's going to take full advantage of that fact. He's launched several teams of fully-armed Badniks into the Great Forest, to comb through all of it, and flush out the rebel scum.
It's up to Sally and the rest of the Freedom Fighter crew to protect their sanctuary, and prevent the location of Knothole Village being found out!
Sonic the Hedgehog #13
Break Out!
Luckily, Sonic and his new-found allies have been able to use the arrival of the new prisoners to their advantage. Now, Sonic, Mighty, Fiona, Tekno, the new prisoners, and any of the prisoners from the riot that are still free are fighting the prison security guards. However, the guards call in Robotnik's newest robots to help recapture the prisoners...the COMbots. And not only that, but Nack has also arrived on the island to help recapture the prisoners! Can Sonic defeat Nack this time? And even if he can, there's still the COMbots to worry about...
Saving the Day
Badniks are invading the Great Forest, and the Freedom Fighters are trying their best to stop them! However, Dr. Robotnik has built a bomb. And this is no ordinary bomb. This bomb, once activated, will send out a wave of energy through the Great Forest that will Roboticize any living creature in it, including the citizens of Knothole! Can a certain, two-tailed fox save the day without Sonic?
Sonic the Hedgehog #14
Superheroics 101
Sonic has finally arrived back in Knothole! He's defeated the villains, saved all the prisoners, and made some allies out of Fiona, Mighty and Tekno... so it's a pretty big shock to find Tails has become the new hero and champion of Knothole in his absence! (Tails is a bit weirded out too!)
No rest for the wicked though, as the Freedom Fighters go on a mission to trash Robotnik's Combot factory. Tails, however, is putting himself under enormous pressure, worried that now he's a hero he'll ruin everything - and this is compromising his safety on missions! It's up to Sonic to help his young friend come to grasps with a hero's responsibilities and realities, and that he doesn't need to stand alone when he has friends.
But there's something else going on. One of Robotnik's long-range satellites has just been swatted aside. Something is emerging from deep space, it's coming for Mobius, and the only warning is the word "DOOM"...
Riders In The Sky! Part 1 (of 2)
Some Mobians submit to Robotnik's tyranny. Others revel in it. Some fight against it.
And Sonic's old school rival Jet has another reaction entirely - Robotnik can't ever be overthrown, so why not just live for today, do what you like and take what you want? That's the philosophy behind his gang, the Babylon Rogues: the most infamous high-speed thieves in Robotropolis! They've got a plan to steal this month's Robotropolis tax collection, and neither Sleet & Dingo nor the Swatbot hordes can stop them...
Sonic the Hedgehog #15
Angels of Chaos (Part 1 of 4)
The Freedom Fighters and Dr. Robotnik have both received a message that says one simple word; "DOOM". And as the Freedom Fighters try to figure out what it means, their sensors pick up an intruder in the Great Forest. Sonic heads into the Great Forest to investigate, and finds a red Echidna. The Echidna then says how "Sonic stole the Chaos Emeralds" and attacks him. Can Sonic defeat him? And more importantly, who is he and what are the Chaos Emeralds?
Riders in the Sky! (Part 2 of 2)
Dr. Robotnik has done something he thought he'd never do. Ask the Freedom Fighters for help. The Freedom Fighters agree to help, but only because the Babylon Rogues have been trashing the Great Forest. Dr. Robotnik then supplies them with their own airboards to take on the ones that the Babylon Rogues have. Can the Freedom Fighters capture the Babylon Rogues? Especially seeing how Sonic never beat Jet in a race back in school?
Sonic the Hedgehog #16
Angels of Chaos, Part 2 of 4.
Sonic the Hedgehog and Knuckles the Echidna continue to duke it out. And since Knuckles is the attacker, the Freedom Fighters are forced to step in and take action, that means subdueing the hot-headed echidna.
Turns out, however, that Knuckles isn't alone, he's brought a few helping hands - the Chaotix! Barby the Koala, Walt Wallaby, Wombat Stu, Espio the Chameleon, and Charmy Bee! They've come to help Knuckles out. During the ensuing fight, the Freedom Fighters learn it was a mysterious hedgehog with amazing speed that had taken the Chaos Emeralds from Angel Island - and the Chaotix had been entrusted to guard it, and the Master Emerald which is keeping the island afloat!
But, if it wasn't the superfast Sonic which hadn't stolen the Chaos Emeralds (he had a pretty good alibi, he was in prison!), then who was it? And is the incident related to the message they received? Setting aside their differences, both the Freedom Fighters, and the Chaotix, head back to Angel Island looking for other clues which could maybe help them.
Meanwhile in Robotropolis, Robotnik is treating the message as a warning, and is prepping his forces. Badniks, SWATbots, COMbots, and a special surprise awaiting the new guests - Silver Sonic!
Canines Gotta Stick Together.
Sleet and Dingo are sent on a mission by Robotnik to the Mobian Badlands, to scrounge up some more henchmen. They already have the bounty hunter Nack the Weasel working for them, and they need more hired muscle, on Robotnik's behalf, and they don't know why, either. So, they start questioning why they're even there in the first place.
We find out why Sleet and Dingo are working for Robotnik, and learn that both of them have been forced into this position as workers for Robotnik, or face roboticization.
Ending the flashback, Sleet and Dingo eventually confront a wolf named Drago in a bar, and negotiate a sweet deal for the Wolf Pack to be under Robotnik's control - even if that means roboticization.
Sonic the Hedgehog #17
Angels of Chaos, Part 3 of 4
The Freedom Fighters and the Chaotix try to put aside their differences as they track down the person responsible for the Emerald's disappearance - and the trail appears to lead to Robotnik and his new Silver Sonic robot! Our heroes attempt a dangerous assault on Robotropolis, now under siege mode, in the hope of getting the Emerald's back. But Sonic and Knuckles will discover too late that something else stole the Emeralds... Something dark and quite, quite horrible...
And in space, the mysterious Black Arms move closer to Mobius...
Sonic the Hedgehog #18
Angels of Chaos (Part 4 of 4)
After infiltrating Robotnik's base and fighting Silver Sonic, the Freedom Fighters and Chaotix find out that Silver Sonic couldn't have stolen the Chaos Emeralds due to him being built after they were stolen! Robotnik then demands that the Freedom Fighters and their "new-found friends" tell him what's going on. Knuckles then explains the situation. (Not noticing that Robotnik seems to be very interested about the Chaos Emeralds...) Robotnik then proposes an alliance. When Sonic asks him why they should work together, Robotnik tells him that it's because the mysterious object heading towards Mobius most likely has something to do with this and if the Chaos Emeralds are as powerful as Knuckles says, then they may all be in great danger. The Freedom Fighters and Chaotix then reluctantly accept Robotnik's proposal. Robotnik's computers then detect a large amount of energy a few miles away from Robotropolis and the Freedom Fighters and the Chaotix decide that it must be the Chaos Emeralds. They then leave while Robotnik and Silver Sonic stay behind to "keep them up to speed". They then find the person who stole the Chaos Emeralds, a strange, black hedgehog who can move as fast as Sonic! The Freedom Fighters and Chaotix then start fighting him for the Chaos Emeralds, but he's able to dodge all their attacks. After awhile, the hedgehog simply says "it's time" and disappears! Before the Freedom Fighters and Chaotix can question what happened, Robotnik contacts them and tells them that a comet has appeared just above Mobius. The Black Arms have arrived!
(Sorry if it's not good, I was tired when I wrote this.)
Sonic the Hedgehog #19
Doomsday (Part 1 of 7)
The comet lands a few miles away, and Robotnik's computers overload with the massive amount of energy readings; whatever is here, it's very powerful.
Sonic speeds over to the crashed meteor.
Swarms of alien creatures come out, and start attacking Sonic relentlessly. No matter how many the hero destroys, they keep coming.
The others arrive just in time to see the mysterious black hedgehog placing the Chaos Emeralds in a gnarled hand!
"I brought you the Emeralds, as you asked. Now fulfill your promise to me," the hedgehog says.
The mysterious figure steps out, smiling.
"Thank you, Shadow. You shall be rewarded...in due time..."
Black Doom has arrived. And he has the Chaos Emeralds.
To be concluded in issue 25!
Sonic the Hedgehog #20
Doomsday (Part 2 of 7)
The Freedom Fighters launch a daring raid of Black Doom, attempting to retrieve the Chaos Emeralds - and succeeding at a high cost! Now, everyone bar Sonic and Knuckles is out of action, and Black Doom has sent Shadow out to retrieve them. Meanwhile, Robotropolis has gone into Siege Mode and Robotnik is preparing to remove his rival in evil through the use of nuclear weaponry - not caring how many millions of innocent Mobians die in the process!
Sonic the Hedgehog #21
Doomsday (Part 3 of 7)
Knuckles realizes what Robotnik's planning, and decides to take him out first. After all, the nuclear threat is immediate, and they have no idea what Black Doom's motives are yet.
Sonic tosses the remaining Emeralds to Knuckles, and is then attacked by Shadow.
As Sonic and Shadow fend each other off, Knuckles uses the power of the Chaos Emeralds and becomes Super Knuckles!
As Super Knuckles, his speed is slightly faster than Sonic's normal form. So he races to Robotropolis, destroys some but not all of the nukes...
...and is blasted with a large, greenish ray. The power of the Emeralds is gone, and he's regular Knuckles again.
More disturbingly, the Choas Emeralds now have a gray color, and no longer glow.
Smirking, Robotnik shows off his latest weapon: a laser cannon with the Master Emerald as its power source, designed in case anyone decided to use the Chaos Emeralds' powers against him.
In a flashback, Robotnik reveals that when he came to Angel Island earlier, he found the Master Emerald inside an ancient temple. Scans of the shining jewel revealed a negative charge emnating from it, which made the island defy gravity.
The Chaos Emeralds have a positive charge. So if the two forces meet, they cancel each other out, Robotnik states.
Which means that Angel Island will soon crash into the ocean. And as long as Robotnik has the Master Emerald, the Chaos Emeralds won't work.
This does not look good for the Freedom Fighters. Or Black Doom, for that matter.
Sonic the Hedgehog #22
Doomsday, Part 4 of 7.
The issue starts off with Angel Island, falling down from the sky and into the ocean, due t o not having the power of the Master Emerald.
We go back to Sonic and the other Freedom Fighters, as they start to evacuate thearea, just in case Knuckles fails his mission (which they don't know he has).
Sonic, however, stays behind. He has to stop Shadow from following them, and keep Black Doom at bay. He knows the risks are high, but he's willing to do whatever it takes if it's to keep the others safe.
With the clock ticking down, Sonic and Shadow are locked in a brawl, while the Black Arms begin to mobilise their forces, ready for world conquest.
Meanwhile, back in Robotropolis, a depowered Knuckles is helpless but watch Robotnik's last nuclear missile take off, it's destination: the Black Comet.
sonic the hedgehog #23
Doomsday part 5 of 7
the issue starts off with the evacuation being successful and tails unvailing his invention: The tornado! powered by a super emerald sonic and tails fly towards the missle Robotnik along with his new weapon shoot at the tornado, however a depowered knuckles just barely manages to divert the cannon's shot. the tornado's wing is shot off. tails manages to escape, but sonic using the super emerald's power temporarily transforms into Super Sonic!
(BTW, this is Heavy. My old account was deleted by accident.)
Sonic the Hedgehog #24
Doomsday Part 6 of 7
Knuckles, angry at what Robotnik has done, tries to attack him. But Silver Sonic steps in and starts duking it out with the echidna. Meanwhile, the Freedom Fighters, Chaotix, and evacuated Mobians watch the newly powered up Super Sonic in awe. Super Sonic then asks Tail how he got the Super Emerald, and Tails tells him that he found it on the Black Comet, meaning that the Black Arms are attempting to make more powerful, artificial emeralds. Super Sonic then heads back to the Black Comet in an attempt to destroy it, but is attacked by Shadow...or perhaps I should say "Super Shadow". Shadow tells Sonic that he's not the only one with access to Super Emeralds before attacking him. As they fight, Shadow tells Sonic his origin. He was created as a self-aware bacteria known as the "Ultimate Lifeform" by Dr. Robotnik's grandfather, Gerald Robotnik, 50 years ago. Gerald lived on an Overlander space colony called "ARK". Gerald's granddaughter, Maria, also lived with him and had a disease that Gerald was trying to develop a cure for. He sought that cure through Shadow. However, Gerald needed help with making an actual body for Shadow, so he sought the help of Black Doom. Black Doom agreed to help Gerald, as long as Shadow could be used as a weapon for the Black Arms. Gerald agreed and they started working on a body for Shadow. After making him one, Black Doom told Gerald that he would return in 50 years for Shadow and left. Over the next few months, Shadow got to know Gerald and Maria more, also thinking of Maria as a sister. But the Overlander military, GUN, (and later in the future, Dr. Robotnik himself made weapons for them before coming to the Acorn Kingdom) found out about Gerald's deal with Black Doom and decided that ARK was really being used for terrorism purposes. So GUN troops stormed the colony and murdered everyone on it, including Gerald and Maria. But the only person they didn't kill was Shadow, who they captured and conducted experiments on, resulting in his memory loss. They then put him in suspended animation. But when all of the Overlanders disappeared after the Great War (which is a story for another time), Shadow was able to get out some time before the Black Arms arrived at Mobius. Black Doom easily contacted Shadow and told him that he'd restore his memories in exchange for the Chaos Emeralds, which Black Doom had been doing research on during those 50 years. Shadow then tells Sonic that he knows the rest, as Shadow took the Chaos Emeralds from Angel Island and gave them to Black Doom, who then restored Shadow's memory. And in the present, the Black Arms are planning to unleash a gas upon Mobius that will kill every living thing and allow the Black Arms to use their bodies as power sources and food. Can Sonic stop them?
Okay, what I'm getting from this is that we build upon an ongoing storyline that someone comes up with and lets the rest of us add to. If I'm wrong, please correct me, but if not, this looks like fun!
Sonic the Hedgehog #25
Doomsday Part 7 of 7
Knuckles, continuing his fight with Silver Sonic, unlocks unprecendented levels of Chaos energy and destroys the robot before teleporting to the Black Comet. Tapping into these powers fully, he goes into his own Super form and goes head to head with Shadow, freeing up Sonic to stop the Black Arms. Sonic battles Black Doom and wins, destroying the giant alien gas producer in the process.
Meanwhile, Knuckles fights Shadow to a standstill, and their clashing energies unlock hidden memories in both their minds. While Shadow learns that Gerald later altered him to be a weapon against the Black Arms, Knuckles catches a glimpse of a shadowy figure leaving him on Angel Island and disappearing. Waking up from the startling visions, Shadow realizes that he's on the wrong side and joins Knuckles and Sonic in blasting the Black Comet into fragments.
Shadow leaves for parts unknown, planning to develop his skills for future confrontations with both Sonic and Knuckles. Sonic and Knuckles get together with Tails and other friends, celebrating their victory under a meteor shower created by falling fragments of the Black Comet. The story ends ominously when one of the fragments is revealed to be a badly wounded but still living Black Doom, who is then found and teleported away by a shadowy figure-the same figure Knuckles saw in his vision of the past.
(Yeah, that's pretty much it.)
Sonic the Hedgehog #26
The Day After Doomsday
The Black Arms may have been defeated, but there's still two matters to take care of before the celebrations can begin: the Master Emerald and Chaos Emeralds. The Freedom Fighters and Chaotix know that Robotnik still has the Master Emerald, and they assume that he must have also gotten the Chaos Emeralds, so the two groups decide to break into Robotnik's citadel at Robotropolis. Luckily, it's very easy to get in thanks to the fact that most of the city's defenses were destroyed by the Black Arms. The group then gets to where Robotnik's "Chaos Cannon" was and take back it's power source, the Master Emerald. Rotor then hacks into Robotnik's computer to try and find out where the Chaos Emeralds are. But it turns out the good doctor doesn't have them! Knuckles then tells how he believes the emeralds flew off in different directions after they regained their energy from when the Chaos Cannon blasted them. The group then quickly gets back to Knothole, where the Chaotix say their good-byes. Knuckles tells Sonic to watch out for the Chaos Emeralds, and Sonic says that he will. The Chaotix then head back to Angel Island with the Master Emerald. Meanwhile, in the junkyard of Robotropolis, Silver Sonic's remains are added to a pile of garbage. But then, a Chaos Emerald comes down from the sky and crashes right into the remains. The emerald's energy then sparks all over as Silver Sonic's eyes suddenly light up again and he says one word. "UPGRADING"...
Awesome! Now I think it's time for a little Archie style two stories in one issue!
Sonic the Hedgehog #27
Secrets of Sorcery
The Freedom Fighters locate an ancient magical computer crafted by the legendary dark wizard, Lazaar! Contained within it are powerful secrets of evil magic, and the Freedom Fighters begin to wonder if they can use it against Eggman. Unfortunately, they are not the only ones who seek the computer's power: Ixis Naugus, a sorcerer from the dimension known only as the Void, arrives on Mobius to claim the device for himself! As if that weren't enough, Eggman comes looking for the computer as well, and the ensuing battle between the two evil masterminds forces Sonic to open a vortex using the device and throw it in, dispatching it to some distant corner of the universe. Naugus goes after it, promising revenge on both the Freedom Fighters and Eggman when he returns.
Guardian's Origins, Part 1
Knuckles and the Chaotix continue their search for the missing Chaos Emeralds, but whispers of the first gem turn out to be only rumors. However, they instead stumble upon an Echidna artifact that allows Knuckles to communicate with Spectre, an ancestor of his who holds the answers to Knuckles' past. Leaving the Chaotix to continue the search for the Chaos Emeralds, Knuckles goes off alone, in hopes of finding the family and people he never knew.
Sonic the Headgehog #28
Let's Get Ready to Rumble, Part 1 of 3
As Sonic and Tails do a routine flight around the Mobian Badlands via the Tornado, Sonic spots an old friend from Robotnik Island. Mighty the Armadillo! Sonic and Tails then land and ask Mighty what he's doing out here. Turns out, armadillos are being forced to battle against their will in underground fighting tournaments, and Mighty was the only one able to escape. Sonic and Tails want to bust out the armadillos, so Mighty leads the duo back to where the tournament was. The tournament is also revealed to be run by one of Mobius' biggest crime bosses, Lord Sidewinder. And the tournament's prize may be a Chaos Emerald! Sonic and Tails tell Mighty that they're looking for the Chaos Emeralds for a friend, and they may need to get that emerald before breaking out the other armadillos. So Sonic, Tails, and Mighty all sign up (wearing masks and under different names, of course) for the tournament. However, after seeing two old enemies, Nack the Weasel and (Freedom Fighter-turned-traitor) Rouge the Bat, Sonic realizes this is going to be harder than it looks. Meanwhile, in Robotropolis, Dr. Robotnik also finds out about the underground fighting tournament, and also believes that the prize is a Chaos Emerald. So he sends his newest henchmen, the Wolf Pack, to participate...
Guardian's Origins, Part 2
As Knuckles thinks about where this "Albion" place mentioned by Spectre is, he thinks back to WHY he guards the Master Emerald and Chaos Emeralds. He thinks about how it's like someone planted that order into his brain. But before Knuckles can finish contemplating, he realizes there's only one place that might able to help him find Albion. Robotropolis...
(More Fleetway stuff. Also, is there any certain number of parts for "Guardian's Origins"?)
SONIC #29
Let's Get Ready To Rumble Part 2 (of 3)
Sonic and Mighty are winning match after match, and secretly whipping up rebellion among the captured fighters. But Sidewinder thinks it's time Sonic "had an accident" - and with Nack, the blackmailed Wolf Pack and Sidewinder's flunky Mr Fry against him, this won't be difficult!
But Rouge has her own agenda that goes against everyone else's, and she's just about ready to make her move. All she needs to cover herself is a bit of random chaos - can you say "free for all"?!
Guardian Origins Part 3 (of 4)
Following the Black Arms invasion, Robotropolis has been devastated and Robotnik's Empire is on the brink! Riots, protests, rebel assaults and sub-boss defections are causing his dominance to crumble - but all this means to Knuckles is that it's a lot easier to sneak into Robotropolis.
Robotnik's files point to the possible location of Albion, hidden in the wilds of Mercia. Knuckles manages to reach the country with ease - and then he finds Albion. Or rather, it finds him. And he finds out his ancestor Spectre is looking a lot healthier than he should be...
And he's about to find out where the other echidnas went, why he was sent to guard the Master Emerald and indeed all the answers - and they're all horrible...
Sonic the Hedgehog #30
Let's Get Ready To Rumble, Part 3 of 3
While Sonic and Mighty fight the Wolf Pack in another match, Nack (who was beaten by Sonic and Mighty earlier) prepares to shoot Sonic, hired by Sidewinder to do the deed. But Tails, who's been watching the match, notices Nack and quickly tackles him! This causes Nack to fire at the ceiling, resulting in enough panic for an all out free-for-all to begin! While fighter battles fighter, Rouge decides to use this as the perfect opportunity to swipe the emerald! However, Sonic notices Rouge doing this, and Spin Attacks her, causing her to drop the emerald. Mighty tries to grab it, but is attacked by Mr. Fry, who's as strong as the armadillo. Tails then takes out Nack by throwing him into a crowd of now-freed armadillos, who pulverize the weasel. Tails then takes the emerald, and realizes that their intuitions were right and it is a Chaos Emerald. Sonic then decides it's time to go, also pitying the Wolf Pack for being forced to work for Robotnik. As Mighty knocks out Mr. Fry and leaves with Sonic, Tails, and the escaped armadillos, Sonic asks him if he wants to become a Freedom Fighter. Mighty accepts. Rouge also leaves, angry at how she didn't get the emerald. Sidewinder, who looks at his destroyed stadium and all of the beat up fighters, vows revenge on "that mysterious blue hedgehog", not realizing it was Sonic. And as Sonic and the others arrive back at Knothole to introduce the newest Freedom Fighter, a figure approaches Rouge and asks for her service. Rouge asks what's in it for her, and the figure tells her that she'll get all of the emeralds she wants. Rouge then says that she's interested...
Guardian's Origins, Part 4 of 4
As Spectre tours Knuckles through an apparently empty Albion, he explains just what happened to the Echidnas. Hundreds of years ago, the Echidnas were at war with other Mobian species. The Echidnas were losing badly and prayed to the Goddess they worshipped, Aurora. But one night, an Echidna scientist who happened to be Spectre and Knuckles' ancestor, Dimitri, came in contact with the God of Destruction...Chaos. Chaos told Dimitri that he must be the savior of the Echidnas, and gave him seven Chaos Emeralds. Chaos poured the energy of the Chaos Emeralds into Dimitri and also added his own power, transforming Dimitri into the Herald of Chaos, Enerjak. Chaos then disappeared as Enerjak used his new-found powers to raise half of Albion into the air, creating Angel Island. Enerjak told the Echidnas there to stop worshipping Aurora, whom he called a "false Goddess". He said that he, as an agent of Chaos, would lead the Echidnas to victory in the war. Some of the Echidnas sided with Enerjak, while others went against him. One of these "enemy" Echidnas was Enerjak's own brother, Edmund. Edmund quickly got out a machine he was working on called an "Energy Syphon", although he decided to rename it the "Chaos Syphon". He then used the Chaos Syphon to use Enerjak's own power against him, creating a new Emerald called the "Master Emerald". Enerjak was sealed inside of it, and it became the only thing still holding Angel Island up in the air. Knuckles then thinks he knows what happened next. Edmund started the Guardian tradition to guard the Master Emerald and make sure Enerjak never escaped! Spectre tells Knuckles that he is right, and also reveals that the Echidnas realized Angel Island was actually what could help them escape from their enemies in the war, so all of the citizens of Albion moved to Angel Island, where they built the city of "Echidnaopolis". Knuckles, surprsised, asks Spectre why Echidnaopolis is now gone, why he still looks pretty young, why Knuckles can't remember his life before being a Guardian, and why Spectre's in Albion in the first place. Spectre then suddenly laughs, revealing that "he's so young" because he isn't Spectre at all! Before Knuckles can do anything, the fake Spectre's right hand suddenly turns into a mechanical claw and he blasts Knuckles. And as Knuckles slips into unconsiousness, "Spectre" tells him that he's in Albion because it's the headquarters of the Dark Legion! To be continued in Knuckles the Echidna #1!
(Hey, they had a Knuckles series in the old Association, so why can't they here?)
SONIC #31
Cry Havoc
Every group on Mobius is taking advantage of Robotnik's current weakness, and it's getting so Sonic can't go looking for the Emeralds without getting caught up in fights! When Robotnik's Downunda sub-boss Crocbot attempts to start a revolution by force (which would kill thousands of Mobians), the Freedom Fighters have to stop what they're doing and undermine his attack force enough for Robotnik to wipe it out.
There's only one option to stop the growing chaos: the Freedom Fighters are going to have to retake Robotropolis! Luckily, Sally has a plan - and with the growing mobs in Robotnik's capital, they have the manpower. But who's going to retrieve the Chaos Emeralds. Sonic has the surprising answer: his old rival Jet and the Babylon Rogues?!
And how deep is the attraction between Antoine and Bunny growing?
Be here next issue when everything kicks off!
KNUCKLES THE ECHIDNA: HERALDS OF CHAOS #1 (of 5)
Knuckles punches his way into his own miniseries - and into the clutches of the sinister Dark Legion! This dangerous cult want to unleash their twisted messiah Enerjak from the Master Emerald, and they're forcing Knuckles to help them. Luckily, he manages to escape and flee to the Chaotix - but the Legion's Flame Troopers are closing in...
In the process of all this, Knuckles learns that the Dark Legion conquered Albion generations ago and they've been trying to find the Angel Island Guardian ever since. Every ten years, a new Guardian - knowing nothing except to guard the Emerald - is placed on the Island. But where do those Guardians come from and where do they go? And why do not even the Dark Legion know what happened to Echidnapolis?
And why, when he was unconscious, did Knuckles have a vision of a burning city, a desperate echidna princess, and a terrifying monster screaming in rage and grief?
I'm not going to rag on anyone for liking Fleetway, but me, I'm more of an Archie comics fan.
EDIT: Sorry guys, looks like I screwed up and didn't see the part where Knuckles already escaped. I'll fix it now.
Sonic the Hedgehog #32
Rebirth, Part 1 of 2
Sonic and the Freedom Fighters launch their assault on Robotropolis, and everything appears to be going according to plan-until a powerful Sonic lookalike robot appears with an army of machines stronger than Robotnik's have ever been before! While the Babylon Rogues fight their way through Robotnik's security to reach his Chaos Emerald, Sonic and the Freedom Fighters engage these new foes. Sonic is in for a shocking revelation, as the general introduces himself as Metal Sonic, the reborn form of Silver Sonic!
The Chaos Emerald that struck Silver Sonic's core was integrated into his body, transforming him and granting him sentience. Using the energy contained in this Emerald, Metal Sonic reformatted all of the robots Sonic and co. ever destroyed into a virtually unstoppable army of Shadowbots! With that, Metal Sonic launches himself at Sonic. As if that weren't bad enough, Crocbot shows up on the outskirts of Robotropolis with his own army, and it's only a matter of time before he and Metal Sonic butt heads!
Knuckles the Echidna #2
Heralds of Chaos #2 (of 5)
As the Dark Legion, led by the evil Kragok and his sister Lien-Da, struggle to release Enerjak from his prison in the Master Emerald, they call upon their most forbidding advisor: the Echidna sorcerer and scientist Dr. Finitevus! Meanwhile, Knuckles finds that he is not alone in escaping the Dark Legion's prison; Kragok's hated half-sister, Julie-Su, is also a former prisoner. The two plan to escape Angel Island, but are redirected by an unexpected new face: the real Spectre!
Leading the two younger Echidnas towards the Master Emerald and the ceremony intended to revive Enerjak, Spectre explains that the previous Guardians have formed a Brotherhood, and that they have been secretly watching the Dark Legion from another dimension. When questioned about Echidnaopolis, he cryptically replies that the inhabitants are still alive, but says nothing more. He then leaves, saying that he can't risk exposing the Brotherhood. Recognizing that his ancestor still looks younger than he should be, Knuckles asks him about it once again, and Spectre replies with a smile: "You'll know all about it soon enough."
Trapped on Angel Island with only one "friend"-a female Echidna as stubborn and skilled as himself-Knuckles must struggle to answer the questions that still plague him. Where are his people? Why did they leave? What is causing Angel Island itself to tremble as though awaiting an earthquake? And, most confusingly of all, why does Julie-Su make him feel so strange?
Quote:
Meanwhile, Knuckles finds that he is not alone in the Dark Legion's prison; Kragok's hated half-sister, Julie-Su, is also a prisoner. The two conspire to break out, and are aided by a most unexpected ally: the real Spectre!
Knuckles had already escaped - he'd headed for Chaotix.
Sonic the Hedgehog #33
Rebirth, Part 2 of 2
Sonic and Metal Sonic start battling each other, with the Freedom Fighters being able to do nothing but watch. Suddenly, rockets are fired at the two hedgehogs. (well, real hedgehog and fake hedgehog) Crocbot and his army have arrived! Meanwhile, the Babylon Rogues are able to get into the depths of Robotnik's citadel, where the Chaos Emerald is located! However, before the Rogues can take it, who should show up but Rouge the Bat? Rouge reveals that she's now working for Metal Sonic, and starts taking down the Babylon Rogues. Meanwhile, Crocbot's army start attacking Sonic and the Freedom Fighters, while Crocbot goes for Metal Sonic, thinking that he's a new robot built by Robotnik. But Metal Sonic, who's annoyed at his fight with Sonic being interrupted, starts using Crocbot as a punching bag. Crocbot realizes Metal Sonic isn't working for Robotnik and, after seeing how powerful he is, pledges allegience to him. Metal Sonic is a surprsied at this, but also sort of happy. Suddenly, Rouge flies into the battlefield with the Chaos Emerald and the Babylon Rogues right on her tail. Metal Sonic tells his organic counterpart that the target for this attack was actually the Chaos Emerald and that they'll finish their fight another time. Metal Sonic then uses something called "Chaos Control" (I'm not sure if Shadow used it earlier) to warp himself, his army, Rouge, Crocbot, and Crocbot's army out of Robotropolis. Sonic is ticked at this, but Sally tells him there's still one thing to take care of: Dr. Robotnik. The Freedom Fighters and Babylon Rogues then break into the control room of Robotnik's citadel and order him to surrender. Sleet, Dingo, and the Wolf Pack try to defend the doctor, but he tells them to stand down and then...surrenders?!
Remember the One About the Great War? Part 1 of 5
Let's now take a step back in time to just before the event known as the "Great War", which resulted in Robotnik's rise to power, began. It all started hundreds of years ago, when an Overlander and a Mobian both came across a glowing pool in a forest...
Knuckles the Echidna: Heralds of Chaos #3 (of 5)
Knuckles, Julie-Su, and the Chaotix decide to interrupt the Dark Legion's "little ritual"! The Chaotix start taking down Dark Legionnaires, Julie-Su has a "family reunion" with her half-sister, Lien-Da, and Knuckles also starts having his own battle with the Dark Legion's Grandmaster, Kragok. Knuckles starts winning against the cloaked Echidna and is about to deliver the final blow, when Dr. Finitevus suddenly advises him to stop disrupting the ritual. Knuckles asks why he should, and Finitevus tells him it's because he won't tell him what happened to Echidnapolis and it's citizens! As Knuckles stares at Finitevus in shock, the Chaotix and Julie-Su are overtaken by Legionnaires and thrown into a cage. Finitevus then tells Knuckles that only a Guardian can free Enerjak, and if Knuckles can do it, Finitevus will tell him all he needs to know. Knuckles complies despite the shouts of Julie-Su and the Chaotix. Finitevus then gives Knuckles the original Chaos Syphon Edmund built, telling him only the DNA of a Guardian can activate it and he must use it to drain away the Master Emerald's power. Knuckles reluctantly does so and, as the Master Emerald turns gray, a figure rises out of it. ENERJAK IS FREE! And, unbeknownest to anyone, the earthquakes on Angel Island continue...
Sonic the Hedgehog #34
Brave New World? Part 1 of 3
Robotnik has surrendered and Mobius is now technically liberated. Sally is now working 24/7 to bring back order to the planet, unite all the freedom fighters and liberated areas, and work out what to do about the mass of supervillains trying to carve out territory. Sonic would like to provide comfort, but he's too busy with the Rogues trying to get as many other Emeralds, Power Rings and other such items before Metal Sonic does!
The Freedom Fighters, meanwhile, are trying to find a way to free the Robians - shut down since Robotnik surrendered - from their programming and give them their minds back. Unfortunately, Metal Sonic is trying to take control of them first!
Remember the One About the Great War? Part 2 of 5
Centuries of hostility come to a head when an incident at a disputed border gives Kingdom of Acorn warlord Kodos and the Overlander Minister of War an excuse to declare outright war!
Knuckles the Echidna: Heralds of Chaos #3 (of 5)
Enerjak has been unleashed - and now Angel Island has been transformed by chaos energy powers, the Chaotix and Julie-Su are brainwashed into being loyal servants, and Mobius stands to be invaded without warning. Knuckles has made the biggest mistake of his life and has to reverse it before it gets worse! However, at this point the Brotherhood steps in without warning - they're taking steps to ensure Enerjak is beaten, and they don't trust Knuckles to pull it off. Meet his replacement as Guardian: Lara-Su!
And as war for the Island takes place, Knuckles is left to wonder about the earthquakes and fall into another vision about the ancient past. A vision that is telling him about the true history of the echidnas, the one they've forgotten. About the true nature of Chaos, how it was driven to violence by grief and what a "herald" of Chaos might mean. And about a way that he can stop Enerjak...
(Do you mean "Warlord Kodos"? Not that Kragok being the Warlord wouldn't be an interesting twist...)
Yeah, meant Kodos.
Sonic the Hedgehog #35
Brave New World? Part 2 of 3
The Freedom Fighters succeed in rescuing and De-Roboticizing their long lost families, but it's a bittersweet moment as Metal Sonic seizes control of a massive Power Ring stockpile and uses it to transform one of Robotnik's old bases into a machine city called Nekronopolis! Sonic goes after his metallic doppelganger, hoping to stop him once and for all, but a distress call from Sally warns him that all the other Robians have been rounded up by Crocbot and are being herded to Metal Sonic's city! Torn between returning to help Sally and going after Metal Sonic, can the Blue Blur save the day?
Remember the One About the Great War? Part 3 of 5
The intrigue surrounding Mobius' Great War in the past continues as Warlord Kodos forms an alliance with a powerful evil: the underworld businessman and kingpin Mammoth Mogul! Joining forces, the two plan to seize control of the mysterious Source of All, which contains all the power they need to conquer Mobius! Only one hope remains for peace as the Overlanders and Mobians march to war: a crack team composed of Sonic's father Jules, Sally's mother Alicia, Tails' uncle Merlin, and an Overlander named Nate Morgan!
Knuckles the Echidna #4
Heralds of Chaos 4 of 5
Lara-Su's inexperience lands her in a battle against Enerjak which she can't hope to win. Meanwhile, Knuckles sees the history of his heritage unfold, and a DNA encoded message from the legendary Edmund reveals to him the only way to undo the damage he's done: he must drain Enerjak of his powers and funnel the energy back into the Master Emerald! Unfortunately, the brainwashed Chaotix and Julie-Su choose that very moment to attack, easily overwhelming Knuckles and taking him prisoner.
On the way back to Dark Legion headquarters, Knuckles appeals to his friends, and miraculously awakens Julie-Su. Dr. Finitevus suddenly appears and knocks the Chaotix unconscious, explaining his actions by stating his desire to see Enerjak overthrown. He reveals that he brought about Knuckles' visions with his powers, and that he was the one responsible for bringing an infant Knuckles to Angel Island. Before Knuckles can question him further, Lara-Su lands nearby, and Finitevus takes advantage of the distraction to disappear into an ancient Egyptian style room-where Black Doom hangs suspended in a pillar of dark energy, recuperating from his battle with Sonic.
Enerjak arrives to finish off Lara-Su, but Knuckles and Julie refuse to stand by and watch. They attempt to stop him, but are thrown back, and the injuries of both his newest friend and the Guardian sent to replace him increase Knuckles' rage to new heights, provoked by feelings for the both of them that he can't explain. His body glows with power, and the earthquakes rocking Angel Island are explained as Knuckles is revealed as the Herald of Chaos, and the legendary creature himself bursts forth from the island's center. Chaos, still fueled by rage, focuses his vengeful green eyes on Enerjak.
It's just occured to me I forgot to mark my last Knuckles as #4, as issue #3 came in the previous post. How about we retroactively say the series is now six issues? (Marvel suddenly added a #7 to Ultimate Six...)
Sonic the Hedgehog #36
Brave New World? Part 3/3
Torn between rescuing the captured Robians and stopping his archnemesis Metal Sonic, Sonic decides that he has to place his friends and family above his desire for revenge, and speeds off to stop Crocbot. Barely stopping the reptilian robot, Sonic makes a horrifying discovery - Crocbot has all along been a decoy, and as Sonic crushes him, he emits a signal that turns the captured Robians back into an army of mindless slaves with one aim: destroy Sonic. Can Sonic fight the other residents of his kingdom, or is he doomed to defeat? Meanwhile, secure in his new base, Metal Sonic sets his sights on a new target: Angel Island...
Remember The One About The Great War? Part 4/5
The Kingdom of Acorn's subterfuge team, made up of Jules, Alicia, Merlin, and an Overlander turncoat named Nate Morgan have infiltrated the Overlander capital of Megaopolis. Their goal? Take the Overlander leader president hostage, and demand a ceasefire. The plan works perfectly until Jules is captured and the rest of the team, horrified, are forced to watch him be turned into a robotic slave by none other than the Leader of the Overlanders himself... Julian Kintobor.
Knuckles the Echidna #6 - FINAL ISSUE
Heralds of Chaos, Part 6/6
Enerjak and Chaos face off in the battle to end all battles - each are as equal to in their power as they are to defeat the other. Enerjak seems to be gaining the upper hand until Knuckles realizes the only way to defeat him, and orders Chaos to absorb the remaining power of the Master Emerald, transforming him into Perfect Chaos. As Angel Island slowly sinks towards the sea, Perfect Chaos makes short work of Enerjak, absorbing the vast majority of his power and leaving his unconscious form at the foot of what was once the Master Emerald alter.
Unfortunately Chaos is now out of control and attacks anyone it can lie sights on. While most people escape unscathed, the Dark Legion is decimated. Knuckles, Julie-Su, Lara-Su, the Chaotix, Brotherhood, and few remaining members of the Dark Legion, et al. take cover in the Brotherhood's underground sanctuary, Haven. Chaos leaps off the side of the island and disappears into the water. Inside Haven, Spectre, the leader of the Brotherhood, addresses his grandchildren: "Get me Athair. The time has come that we need to contact Tikal."
Unnoticed by the occupants of the island, Metal Sonic arrives and heads straight to the Emerald Alter, where he finds Enerjak, awakened but paralyzed, and minutes from death. Enerjak instructs Metal Sonic to give him his Chaos Emerald, and he uses it as a syphon, transferring the last of his power into Metal Sonic. As Enerjak, now just an old Echidna named Dimitri, takes his last breath, Metal Sonic stands anew - alive, flesh-and-blood, his fur a mix of mottled black and poisonous green. He is now Ashura.
Sonic the Hedgehog #37
Jigsaw Puzzle
The Robians are quelled, thanks to Rotor and Nicole who deactivated Crocbot and in turn the Robians shut down because Crocbot was no longer emitting the the signal. Now, comes the tedious duty of rounding up all those who had survived, and working with a team of crack technicians, help them regain their consciousnesses.
On Angel Island, Metal Sonic has just gained his brand spanking new form of Ashura, and with the exceptional powers that come with it, he makes his escape back to Nekronopolis via Chaos Control.
And within the dark depths of the recently liberated Robotropolis, Robotnik sits in a dungeon cell, with all his lackeys in other cells around his. All of them are awaiting their trials for the war crimes they have committed. The mad doctor laughs. To him, things have just fallen into place.
Remember The One About The Great War? Part 5 of 5.
Jules, now a mindless, robotic slave, turns on his friends per his orders given to him by his new master, Julian Kintobor. The others are forced to retreat back to Mobotropolis, just as they witness their king, Maximilian thrown into a portal, the other side leading to the Void, by none other than Mammoth Mogul with Warlord Kodos by his side.
A coup d'etat!
The Kingdom of Acorn is torn apart from the inside, while the Overlander forces move in, with Julian Kintobor, and many lives are lost thanks to Mammoth Mogul's foolishness. The Mobians surrender.
Kintobor, mad with power, defects from the Overlanders, and using his superior technology of Badniks and the prototype Swatbots, Robotnik, as he now calls himself, turns the tide of the war, and beats back the Overlanders, calling Mobotropolis home, and under his tyrannical rule...
(Is Ashura really a character? He's nothing more than a glitch, and his name isn't even official. =/)
He's enough of a character that the fanbase recognises him...
But he's still from no official continuity, glitch or not.
We could call him Scourge - the characters look similar enough. (I'll call him Ashura here and edit later if we decide on Scourge)
Sonic #38
Big City
Sally continues her work to reunite Mobius - and with the threat of Scourge out there, it's proving easier than before. Even the other villains are worried about him! However, to fully achieve a united front, she's going to have to make diplomatic gestures to the Overlanders!
The Overlanders still loathe the "furries" for the Great War; and as Robotnik destroyed Megaopolis & deliberately divided their nation to discourage resistance when he conquered the planet, they are now split into several different states. Sally, Sonic and the other Freedom Fighters head to Station Square, capital of the largest of these states, to state their case. Can they make it past the bigotry and hate - and their own bigotry and hate for the race that spawned Robotnik?
Meanwhile, the Bablyon Rogues continue to race Scourge's forces to every Chaos Emerald they can, with their success rate 50/50. But what is Scourge planning? And deep in his cell, Robotnik continues to wait, saying nothing and giving no sign of what he's thinking beyond demented bursts of laughter...
Tikal's Story
Her name was Tikal, princess of the echidnas, and she met Chaos hundreds of years ago - back when the Echidnas were a warmongering race, out to conquer Mobius. Their warmongering had finally pissed off everyone and they were facing an alliance of races of the defence. Chaos was the guardian of the Chaos Emeralds and the innocent Chao creatures that worshipped them, and Tikal knew her people would slaughter the Chao and seize those Emeralds for the power they held.
Wanting to prevent the slaughter of innocents, Tikal convinced Dmitri and Chaos to make a deal - instead of taking the Emeralds by force, Dmitri would be given some of their power via Chaos and win the war that way. Tikal hoped this would end the fighting... and proved hopelessly wrong, for as is known Enerjak was insane and had to be stopped.
Afterwards, the echidna armies were desperate to ensure they still won against the "lesser" species and so attacked the Chao after all... and Chaos, unable to stop the slaughter, went insane with rage. Perfect Chaos wiped out echidna civilisation before Tikal sacrificed herself to imprison him in Angel Island. Afterwards, the traumatised echidnas left Mobius behind and left for Angel Island forever more. In time, they forgot this chapter of their history.
All of this, Tikal's spirit passed on to Knuckles in the form of visions - and now the Brotherhood have summoned her back via magic to help them against Chaos. Only she can stop him - for in his rage and grief, he'll keep on destroying and he's already been clocked heading for Station Square...
(Fine by me. Also, was Crocbot destroyed?)
Sonic the Hedgehog #39
War of Chaos, Part 1 of 4
Sally, Sonic, and the other Freedom Fighters plead their case to the President of Station Square, claiming Mobians and Overlanders should live together in peace. Before negotiations can continue, however, the city is suddenly flooded! The Freedom Fighters and Station Square President rush outside to see some sort of gigantic monster made entirely out of water bursting from a building. Perfect Chaos has arrived! Meanwhile, Knuckles, Julie-Su, Tikal, and the Brotherhood (Lara-Su included) take one of the Brotherhood's ships and fly off towards Station Square. At the city, the Freedom Fighters try everything at their disposal to stop Perfect Chaos, but nothing works. The Echidnas then arrive and the Freedom Fighters are naturally surprised to see them. Meanwhile, on the no longer floating Angel Island, Kragok and Lien-Da approach Dimitri's comatose body. Kragok then tells his sister that they have work to do...
When the Heroes Are Away...
The Babylon Rogues now have four Chaos Emeralds, and Scourge still has two. And, of course, there's still the one that the Freedom Fighters have, which is in the newly rechristened Mobotropolis. Scourge, his army, and Rouge watch the city from a distance. Scourge then says that now is the perfect time to strike...
Edited my post to get it more Scourgey.
And yeah, Crocbot's toast.
EDIT:
Okay, so there's no more Ashura, he's Scourge now, right?
Also, you got that, so could I request something, too? Can we please cut down on how many story-arc issues we have. It's a little out of control.
Sonic the Hedgehog #40
War of Chaos, part 2
Station Square is becoming more and more underwater as Chaos still floods the city. So far, it has easily fended off attacks from both the Freedom Fighters and the military, but now it is facing off against the might of the Brotherhood. They've yet to reveal Tikal's presence to Chaos yet, they're keeping her as a last resort in case their efforts do not work.
Why doesn't it seem like nothing is working..?
Together We Stand
With the Freedom Fighters away from Mobotropolis, who's to defend the city from Scourge and his army? The citzens, that's who! As Scourge's forces descend upon the city, it's citizens, Mobians and Robians alike, take up arms against the invaders. All seems to be going bleak for the defenders, until an unusual ally arrives to help them.
Shadow the Hedgehog! Is he enough to turn the tide of this battle? And why is he there? Surely, the black hedgehog has to have is own agenda...
Sonic the Hedgehog #41
War of Chaos, part 3 (of 4)
Tikal attempts to calm Chaos - but it's not working. However, both she and the Brotherhood have another planet: Tikal will go inside Chaos' mind and try to calm him from there, attacking his rage directly. She'll need to take someone else's spirit with her as back-up - but that will involve temporarily removing a spirit from a body, and there's no guarantee they'll make it back.
Sonic and Knuckles volunteer instantly!
As our three heroes go into Chaos' mind and battle against manifestations of his rage & grief, the people of Station Square cheer on the Mobians who are helping them. The Overlanders of this state and the Kingdom of Acorn seem to have found common ground in a common crisis. Unfortunately, one of the neighbouring Overlander states is planning to launch a nuclear strike to take out Perfect Chaos - it'll fail in that, but it could kill everyone in Station Square! Can the rest of our heroes stop it?
Agendas
Shadow is prepared to assist Mobotropolis in fending off Scourge's further attacks, in exchange for one of their Chaos Emeralds. He won't explain why, but Antoine - left in temporary command while Sally is away due to his Royal Guard status - is unsure if he should comply or not. He's in way over his head.
And that's when Robotnik walks out of his cell. The dungeon had been renovated by him years ago, and he made sure that if he was locked in any of his own prisons, there'd be countermeasures to allow him to walk out at any time - and hidden devices to keep him informed of what's going on. He notes Scourge's forces are poised to reconquer Mobius and things are desperate. And he's willing to help...
Sonic the Hedgehog #42
War of Chaos, Part 4 of 4
Inside of Chaos' mind, Sonic, Knuckles, and Tikal eventually reach a chamber where Chaos' orginal form is sitting in a corner, wimpering. Tikal tells him that everything's alright, and there are still Chao on Mobius. She then gives out her hand and asks him to stop hurting innocent people. Chaos takes her hand. Meanwhile, in reality, the nuclear missile is still heading towards Station Square. The Freedom Fighters and Brotherhood try to figure out ways to stop it, but nothing works. Suddenly, Perfect Chaos fires a beam at the missile, destroying it. Sonic and Knuckles' sprits then reappear and go back into their bodies as Chaos turns back to his original form (Although he still has half of the Master Emerald's energy inside of him. Enerjak used to have the other half, but now Scourge does.) and the water in Station Square floods out. Tikal's sprit also reappears and tells the Freedom Fighters and Brotherhood that Chaos is at peace once more. The President of Station Square then shakes Sally's hand and thanks her and her friends, saying that his is the start of an alliance between Overlanders and Mobians alike. Knuckles then abruptly tells everyone that they've now got to restore the Master Emerald's energy and bring Angel Island back up. Meanwhile, in Nekronopolis, Scourge vents his frustation at being defeated by Shadow by destroying his own Shadowbots. Rouge tries to calm him down, but suddenly, Dr. Robotnik, Sleet, Dingo, and the Wolf Pack (the latter three were also all freed by Robotnik) enter the room. Scourge asks his creator why he shouldn't vaporize him then and there, and the doctor tells him that he can help him defeat the Freedom Fighters, as he knows some ways into Mobotropolis that the Freedom Fighters don't know about...
