Hi everyone, I am brand new here and wanted everyone's opinion on this. How much would a complete Sonic collection go for?
This is:
Sonic mini 0-3, Sonic 1-190, Sonic X 1-34, Knuckles mini 1-3, Knuckles 1-32
Princess Sally 1-3, Tails 1-3, Sonic Quest 1-3, Sonic In Your Face, Sonic and Knuckles
Super Sonic vs. Hyper Knuckles, Triple Trouble, Sonic Chaotix, Sonic Blast, Mecha Madness
Super Specials 1-15 and Sonic Free Comic Book Day 2007/2008. Also the Archie Halloween Special
and the Sabrina crossover.
I believe that is all of the comics. So does any one know about how much this collection is worth? I'm not looking to sell,
I just had this question and couldn't figure it out. Thanks

I think the condition of the issues would be a factor.

Actually I would say that most of them are in mint condition. The early issues, about1-4,6-9, and 11-15 are probably in good condition. I have had the issues since they were first released and they are all original prints.

You're missing Sonic Live! and the original promotional issue #1/4 (and some of the trade paperbacks too, but you didn't list any of those anyway). They definitely wouldn't go for $4,000, but I'd expect you'd get quite a bit of cash for them. I think the last I heard, someone got $1,000 for a complete set of comics, so if you assume about $700, then anything else will be a bonus.

BTW, put this up in Fang's Trading Forum. Someone here might be interested in them.

But he's already said that he's just looking for an estimate, not looking to sell. Best keep it here to avoid confusion.

OK mabye 4k is a bit of an exageration, but if all the comics are in mint or nearmint condtion you could get at least $1400, I mean after all a good story is pricless!

I also have Sonic Live. What is the promotional 1/4? Is that from the Disney Adventures, or the promo for issue 0?

#1/4 was a mini-issue released by Sega before the comic was released as a promotional thingy. It's basically the first part of the first story in #0, so content wise you're not missing anything - but for a collector, it's pretty cool.

Really, 1400?

::Looks at his collection which is missing some severe gaps between 140 and 175::

¬¬ That's easily fixed....but uhh, I got everything else...cept for a few old ones (4-7-and 13 I believe)..maybe 500 lying right here...Hrm <<

The last complete sonic comic set that I saw go on ebay went for $800 USD. And this was about 4 years ago.

Given the fact that Archie is now reprinting the old issues and specials as trade paperbacks...I can only guess that a complete comic collection would be worth much less then $800. The older comics are now not so hard to get anymore, so their value drops. I paid over $60 for my Sonic#0, 4 years ago. Now, I see them go on ebay for about $20 bucks.

$4000 dollars for a bunch of sonic comic books? I dunno. Maybe if all of them where autographed or something and in mint condition.

#1/4 was a mini-issue released by Sega before the comic was released as a promotional thingy. It's basically the first part of the first story in #0, so content wise you're not missing anything - but for a collector, it's pretty cool.

I got my 1/4 Archie Sonic comic from howard Johnson hotel chain. They had a sega promo activity set shaped like a game gear. Inside was a full sized Sonic poster, sticker sheet, 1/4 comic, and...I think that was it.

I'm wondering how much issue 1 of the main series should cost. I got mine for $35 in very good condtion. Just wondering if I paid too much.

$35 for Sonic #1 in M/NM is pretty good, actually. I've seen it for upwards of $50 mint. It, #0, and the first ten or so are extremely rare to come by.

Ah, cool. Thanks! Yeah the guy at the comic book store I bought it from told me it took him 2 years to acquire that issue of Sonic #1.

So how much you think i could get for 0, 1-3, and 1-9? I'm just curious, not selling....
and not how much they're worth, but how much i could reasonably get for them selling them on ebay or to a LCS...
