Matt Herms (Colorist and Penciller for the comic) found this over on the Archie twitter:

Peru: Stop, every post I've seen from you has been flamebait.

On the actual topic, looks like Eggman will be back by May.

PeruAlonso, how many times have you started this conversation, and when do you intend to actually add anything to the discussion other than "It's lame" - or "It's lame because it's lame" when you're pushed?

EDIT: Swanson beat me to it.

Well, if lame isn't the word, maybe boring, terrible and dreadful are the best words to describe James Fry's art! I'd rather see Tracy Yardley, Steve Butler or Art Mawhinney doing the artwork for the comics.

How about some actual insight? So sick of you posting different words to describe you dislike for his artwork in one sentence without and explanation as to WHY!

Proportion, they way he uses perspective, how he creates dramatic scenes with the characters shown. Backing up your reasoning on why you do not like his artwork with some though instead of building up your post count.

I've got a question: Can YOU do any better than James Fry? Show us some of your art.

I'm sick and tired of reading this stuff. PeruAlonso, the Archie powers-that-be aren't going to see this and go "OHNOZ HE NO LIKE FRY, WE FIRE HIM". No, they'd just laugh. Now, if you wanna give some deep and informative statement as to why you do not like Fry's art in more than a couple of sentences and explain to us that you're not just senselessly flaming a guy for doing his job, that would be awesome. Otherwise, I'd be happy to give you a vacation.

I'm aware that I say that something is bad too often, but I'm just not into Fry's artwork. Sorry.

Fry was not the best artist of the comic, but I don't think he was the worst either.

So getting away from the irrational Fry hate, do the FCBD covers always look kind of bland? Then again...it is free so I shouldn't be complaining but just...curious.

I know it's a late response, but I was doing Christmas shopping the past couple days.

In any case, this is an official warning.
Do not do it again if you don't feel like writing more than one or two sentences of flaming the guy. Say something productive, or don't bother.

Well I for one wish the cover gave away more of the content. In particular which old weapon did they mean? *crosses fingers for metal*, they could have put that on the cover. But as it's free, might as well give the artists a break.

And I have no idea which artist is which. I can't tell the difference, really. Except for Turbo Titan tails. That just plain sucked, and I've only seen one panel of that.

Edit: wrong super form.

Metal might be too recent...maybe the return of the roboticizer? Ultrasalamander...nah, seems to be something from Sonic's childhood so that's out...=/

And if they had, there'd probably've been complaints about ruining the tension by posting spoilers months in advance... They can't win when handling big teasers like that.

Given the comment about it being something from Sonic's childhood, I'm even wondering if people've got the wrong end of the stick and it's something that we've not even seen before, since Sonic's childhood goes from pre-school in Sonic Kids to him being 16 in SatAM with only a brief pause for Blast to the Past inbetween. And whilst he was still a kid, things that happen within a couple of years of current continuity - as we can presume SatAM does - hardly count as "bygone".

I should dig out my Sonic Kids specials and take another look at the various threats - but I'm a long way from convinced that this is going to be a nostalgia trip for anyone but Sonic himself.
