I was thinking, Should Sega make a new series of sonic games besides sonic. I mean. Make Sonic Satam RPG thing or sonic heroes version of satam. Satam is still popkaur than Sonic X. I would like to play as Antione and level up with him.

2. Give Shadow his own Series. He's the second coolset guy in Sonic. Make a Comic book and a games sereies. He can use guns and cars and make it like grand theft auto.

3. Give the Chaotix a series. That game is so good! I want more and more. This could make a good RPG. Based it on Archie or after Sonic Heroes. Make it different than Sonic. Like Kingdom hearts stlye Knuckles game.

Sounds like an interesting idea. Lots of the younger kids don't know much about the SATAM series though.

>_>

Are people not entitled to their opinions anymore?

I'm an oldbie... a very old oldbie... Got into the comics at issue #38... Before that, I watched SatAM when it originally aired.

I have to admit, I've lost my appetite for the series. Sure, I still love the cartoon, I love the old comics... but this new stuff is just too bland.

Any hopes for a new season, a movie, or video games based on the universe we know is nothing but a dream.

Yeah I doubt it too. But don't make the Next Gen kids not like old stuff or they'll grow up becoming a murderer or disobey their parents. But even though i doubt, I'll never forget what made me human and grown up i'm 18 years old now. Thank you Sonic Satam. I'll never forget what you did for me.

Archie comic is only distributed in America. Sonic is made in Japan and sells best in Europe.

I find your plan to be financially unwise. Thank you for playing the game, please try again later.

Though, of your post there are some possibilities.

1. There will be a Sonic RPG sometime in the next 2 years made by the makers of Neverwinter Nights.

2. Shadow series is always a possibility, given how stupidly popular the character is. Despite the absoloute failure of his solo videogame.

Also. Sonic X is more popular than Satam, worldwide at least.

Whereas Satam was cancelled in it's third series, Sonic X proved popular enough (mainly in Europe and Asian regions) to have a second series comissioned. I think FOX were the responsible party, not quite sure.

This said, it's unfair to gauge the popularity, Sonic X is aired during a time when Sonic is no longer cool to the masses (1992, a year or so before SatAM, there was global celebration to Sonic Twosday) and when the competition was probably as thick as whatever else was on Foxbox or Cartoon Network, SatAM had to go up against tougher competition.

But, way I see it now, SatAM is a forggotten fossil lost to the sea of time with no real fanbase besides people who are older than the target demographic. This is not being cruel to fans, but anyone old enough to remember the 1993 cartoon is too old for Sega to sell their weres to. They've been famously (mis)quoted to say that Sonic is not intented for anyone over 12 and anyone under 12 was not even born during the shows original run.

This isn't me trying to crush your dreams and hopes. It's more, trying to show you there is no chance of this happening.

If not for the demographic reason, then certainly the Europe/Japan thing.

SatAM is good as it is. I wouldn't want a new season, it would never have the same feeling as the original. We got the dvd box, if younger fans wants to learn about SatAM they can buy the box. And the SatAM characters are still alive in the Archie comic books.

The Chaotix are not popular enough to make a serie. Kids of today know more Sonic, Shadow, Knuckles & co than the Chaotix. They haven't been in enough games to be as famous as, let's say, Shadow.
A Shadow serie is more possible. He already got his own game. If a sequel is made, it should have the gameplay Shadow has in Sonic 2006. But I'm not sure if a Shadow comic book would be interesting and if it would sell.

Also Troy, don't be aggressive toward people who have different opinions than yours ;)

SatAM would make a cool video game, and I would like to see the cliffhangers from the end of season 2 resolved somehow, but I agree with the general opinion: it's not going to happen. Some diehard fans may wish it were otherwise-myself among them-but SatAM has been cast aside. Archie is the only continuity that uses any SatAM elements any more that weren't taken from the games in the first place.

As for Shadow being the second coolest character in the series, that's a matter of opinion. The same holds true for whoever you might classify as the coolest character. Sure, there might be general opinions as to the ranking, but it doesn't hold true for all the fans.

Neither Shadow or Knuckles is liable to get their own series, whether comic, cartoon, or video game. Knux has had his shot at a comic series, which got cancelled; he hasn't gotten his own game (unless you count Knuckles Chaotix, which I don't because that was the big intro of the Chaotix as well) despite having been around a lot longer than Shadow, and the one instance I've heard of him coming close to getting a cartoon or a movie turned out to be a bust. Shadow, while popular, isn't popular enough to get his own cartoon, and Archie has stopped doing any comics except for the main series and the Archives issues; he's had his own game, which is more than can be said for any other character unless you count those Tails games or Knuckles Chaotix. A Shadow the Hedgehog sequel seems unlikely, since they basically killed off the bad guys from the last game-that's the annoying thing about the games, they keep killing off decent villains in favor of the classic Dr. Eggman and Metal Sonic. Those two are okay, but it would be nice to see some permanent new blood.

As much as SatAM is an unknown among the new folks: it DOES hold all the elements needed for an RPG setting.
