I love how everyone but Sonic in the Cast Summary bit is looking up at Knuckles and going "arg!".

Am i the only one rooting for knuckles in this arc? I mean, if my race was reduced to ten percent, the first thing id do is take it out on those oppressing them (dingoes) and then move them all to somewhere safer (albion, its safer because a floating island has more strategic importance to Dr. R). I mean, it'd probably be a good idea to erase Dr. Robotnik's and all his creations with just a wave of the hand before taking the technology of the good guys, but so far, I cant blame knuckles for anything hes done and dont really know why the knotholers are so ticked.
I think that's what's so novel about the story arc -- Knuckles has the power to reshape the world as what he defines as 'right'. But at the same time, he's upheaving all of these lives.
I'm really curious to see how Robotnik is going to respond to this. If Knuckles is really serious about this no-technology belief then the old Eggman has the most to lose -- practically everything to lose, actually. I suppose this is almost rooting for the villians but I don't want to see him lose his robotics.
This issue is going to be sick.
I just realized that Sonic does not know Knuckles is Enerjak. This is gonna be fuggin fantastic. I loved the third page, Sonic all doing his Hero thing, not even knowing the implications of his actions-classic Sonic jumping into the fire without knowing the temperature.

He had that power from #90 to #118 or so. It's just here he's actually using it more - BAM! No more Dingos! BAM! De-cyborged Legion! BAM! Heading for New Mobotropolis!
And damn, saying "technology sucks, let's get rid of it!" in front of NICOLE? Being Enerjak hasn't done much for his social skills then.
i'm becoming more excited about this. i even enjoyed that debut scene of sonic and enerjak. it was fitting. can't wait to read this issue

Interesting preview pics, it does seem like Knux doesn't fully understand the effects his new powers are having on others. Also, I think it is likely that Knux's powers might go out of control, which seems to be one of the things his friends are worried about.

One thing's for sure, I would be shocked if anyone got another hit in on enerjak after sonic's sneak attack...knux isnt as arrogant as the old enerjak, and he's had experience wielding chaos power before...and since he can do anything with a thought, it shouldn't even be close.
I'm very interested, however, to see when the doc fin evil kicks in. Because if the FF go to such extremes fighting knuckles just for what he's done so far, i think they're overreacting.
Also, does anybody get the idea that knuckles might make nicole a full fledged lifeform?

I'm sure that it would lead into some interesting issues. Never cared at ALL for the nanite city. Seemed kinda flaky.
You have no idea how close you are there. The Nanite city IS made of flakes. Corn Flakes that is. All someone has to do is pour milk on it and it's toast.

Actually, if you pour milk on it, it becomes soggy cornflakes, not toast. Toast you get by placing a slice of bread in a toaster oven.

Seriously, there is so much potential for new status-quo changing developments with this arc. I can't wait to see if Ian takes advantage of that or not.
What is really needed is for Knucklejak to completely derobotize Jules because he has the powah to cure his injuries.
Yeah, that's what I mean. He can deroboticize Jules, he can deroboticize Bunnie, he can make Nicole flesh-and-blood, he can convert New Mobotropolis into an actual city, he can wipe out the Egg Fleet - there's any number of things that could happen that would have a humongous effect on the comic.
You know, the whole "stripping the Dark Legion of their cybernetics" schtick Knuckles has going on could possibly be viewed as a form of rape, if you think about it. He's robbing people of something he has no right to take, something that's as much a part of them as their biological parts.

Naw, I wouldn't go far and say it's that, Unicron. While yes, I do see where you're coming from, but that's a little extreme.
At the very least Knux doesn't seem to take into account that some people don't want to be helped. I am wary about changing the status quo, it depends on the results.
yeah i agree, he seems so bent on setting thing "right" he's overlooking the whole concept of if these folks actually want help.
lol whenever i read about him taking away the DLers cybernetics it reminds me of those religious belief types who shove their beliefs down your throut, and force you to see it their way. but deep down we know the helpful knux we know and love is there, he's just power tripping lol!
His heart's in the right place, but his methods need a whole lot of tweaking.

I am gonna get my hands on this one IF IT KILLS ME! There hasn't been a storyline this good for years, as far as I'm concerned.
I can't see Knuckles doing a Blue (or should that be green?) Fairy act on Nicole - we've already seen that he'd rather just obliterate tech than look at its positive aspects.
Although it'd be interesting to see what'd happen to Nicole if she had the choice someday. If she was just flesh and blood, she'd presumably still have her intelligence, but she'd have a mortal, physical body and lose all of her ability to create shields and defences, calculate at microprocessor speeds and do all of those things that she's good at as a computer and the FFs need her for as a literal deus ex machina.
The greater good versus a personal wish. I'd be interested to see her confronted with it sometime.
