I have no intention of starting a relationship discussion, but I have to be reassured.
Please tell me we're not heading for a Sonic/Sally/Monkey Khan triangle.

*shrug* Who knows! Go ask Ian, lol. Anyway, Sal seems pretty sure in her choice of Khan right now; of course, that could change when the Iron Dominion arc is through with.
I choose to completely ignore the bland and blatant shipping I see before me in favor of thinking of just how screwed the Freedom Fighters will be on a scale of 1 to 10. Thinking somewhere around a 12.
Wonder if Regina will just imprison the majority of the population for " Legionfication " or whatever terrible thing they have planned or torture them a bit first. She seems like the type of villain that likes seeing her victims needlessly suffer.
I hope so. I've been waiting for this for 8 issues now. I'm like "Obvious move not taken? Riiidiculous."
Makes me wonder if the Tornado will somehow be immune to technomage since it runs on an Emerald....or do they even have an emerald anymore...
They don't have the Emerald anymore. There's only seven now and Mammoth Mogul took theirs ages ago.
Guessing Sonic and Tails (and Sally and Khan) just manage to make it out of the city before everyone's locked in. As for why she doesn't just take control of the plane and make them crash maybe Regina can only take control of one thing at a time. Rather then make sure they perish and lose control of the city she just lets them go which would, of course, be some sort of epic mistake.
Weird. Thought today was the 7th. Never mind
Part of me wants to say took you guys long enough to figure out that the city is powered by Nicole, but I digress.
And I concur, heroes are screwed...for now.
"Snuggle-dumpling?"
Ah well at least it's better than what my co-worker calls my boss *rawks in mere memory*
On the other hand, I don't get what problem Sonic would have, seeing as he has a lot more fish in his little sea (including one pink pirrhana)
I suppose I'm a little bugged as to how they didn't even entertain the idea that Nicole could be hijacked. I mean, they did know that the Iron Queen is a technomage, right?

He obviously doesn't like seeing anyone else but himself happy being the egotistical monster he is.

Now it wouldn't be fun at all if they had all the answers, right?
In the very least they should move farther away so they won't have to put up with that every single day. Mobotropolis is like in walking distance of the Eggdome. *Huff*
Now it wouldn't be fun at all if they had all the answers, right?
So Sonic and Tails forgot about the time she hijacked Khan? And didn't she hijack him again a couple issues ago, or am I just misremembering?
It was a couple of issues ago. I doubt they've forgotten it. Just didn't put two and two together and realize that Nicole is a HUGE liability with the Master of technomagic right next door.
Rather foolish of them not realizing it.

I think you missed the point I was trying to make. It's no fun when the heroes have all the answers. Though NICOLE is in a pretty powerful position right now I'm sure Ian didn't intend for her to be completely invincible. At least not off the bat. That would make any given invasion attempt pretty one sided if she can just throw up the barrier each time and the Freedom Fighters can throw back a latte while their enemies struggle to penetrate their defenses. After she gets free from this eye opening experience she'll take measures to make sure she isn't hijacked again in the future.
There's another side of it, too. Vaguely hinted by what Tails said in the preview pages was the concept that people were becoming too reliant on NICOLE to be there for them when she might not always be there for them to make their lives easier. In recent years the mobians have been rather bold, obvious, and even a little bit lazy when it came to fighting this war. They built two rather large cities right out in the open where their enemies can clearly see them. The first one (Knothole City) was destroyed and this one will probably come to the brink of destruction thanks to underestimating their opponent. Maybe after their experience they'll realize just how vulnerable they are and make some much needed changes. It's not like this was the first security breach they've had in New Mobotropolis. This is about the fourth in a matter of weeks and the second in a row by the same enemy.

Don't know if that was sarcasm or not.
On THIS board, more like the later!
It may be no fun if the heroes have all the answers (Good is dumb!) but it would have been nice if the villains had noticed this obvious weakness, sooner. Like Day one priority.
While it looks bad, with the Iron Queen taking over Nicole, I am not that worried. I am sure Sonic and the Freedom Fighters will find a way to win in the end.
Don't know if that was sarcasm or not.
I was banking on not having to put " /sarcasm " at the end. Thought it was obvious enough I was kidding.
I am teh stoopid

Pretty much this. New Mobotroplis was inherently flawed from the beginning. One large obvious city with the words, "Attack Here" written all over it. So when second tier villains and lackeys show up and do just that...all heck brakes loose. Like nobody was expecting them.
But I really like the Anti Nicole concept. It's fresh and has never been done before. I can't wait to see what she can do with the entire city under her control.
Bahahaha! Oh lord, the page where Snively dramatically tells Robotnik off only for him to go "Goodness, when did you lose your hair?" was worth the price of admission alone. And when the Iron King disregards Amy just for her to batter him. Just beautiful. The techno hands were borderline nightmare fuel until Sonic delivered that lame "I needed a hand!" pun. Great issue.
Snuggle-dumpling? Oh, I love it! I'm a closet fan of Snively I personally don't use petnames but that one had me almost on the floor.
I want my issue NOW!
Btw sonicblaster59, awesome Nicole. I can't wait to see what Nicole's gonna cause!
"Lower the force field, Nicole!"
"I'm sorry Sonic, I'm afraid I can't do that."

I especially loved it when Amy told Jun to quit swinging like a wuss! lol!
Can someone post a summary, please?
Gotta love wiki Thanks Lea!
It seems there's a lot going on story wise. I like how the character's personalities shine through the story.
Amy got real savage there. I almost rescinded my animosity toward her fully in this issue alone. If I see more banter like that (wow is she acting like a female Sonic or what?) I may put her in the top 90.
