Post preview, Sally is telling Snively that she gave him too many chances (GEE WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST CLUE). Snively insisted that it wasn't over and that the ninja clans would come to the Dominion's aid. Then Monkey Khan came in on his cloud and told the Yagyu and their leader that the clan was free of the Iron Queen. Lien-Da was skeptical of the Yagyu's cooperation, but the Yagyu leader said some stuff about the word of honor being sacred "even between fierce rivals." Yagyu leave, Lien-Da is angry.

Then Lien-Da realizes she can control the Dark Egg Legion and says the Eggman Empire is now hers. The Iron Queen tries to control the legion using the neuro-chips, but of course it doesn't work. Lien-Da thinks she's got it made... then IQ commands the bomb IN Lien-Da's cybernetics to EXPLODE. Is she alive? I DUNNO! (It's not directly stated. I'll scan the page and you can judge for yourself, if you want)

The Dark Legion guys ask Snively to take the lead, but he freaks out and runs away (typical Snively). The DEL retreats. In the meantime, Espio appears out of nowhere when Sonic and MK wonder how they're gonna take out Jun Kun. Espio presents them with the fan of Fen Xing, Khan fires it (or whatever you do with a fan), and the Iron King goes BLASTING OFF AGAAAIN! *ding*

Snively flees to the detention center to free Eggman (way to protect your girl, dude). They have a little dialogue, and the pair escape to the Eggdome. And thus the cycle begins anew...

Regina is trying to defend herself back at the stadium. Sally tells her that no harm will come to her if she surrenders. Khan actually agrees with that, claiming Sally convinced him that "justice is more important than revenge". If you thought Butler's Eggman was scary, wait until you see Regina in Final Boss mode. Whoooooa. She uses the nanites to create a Zan-like mech (yeah, Zan, Dulcy's abusive ex-boyfriend. That's how I remember him, anyway). Tails, MK and Amy work together to weaken the mech. In desperation, IQ attempts escape, only to be stopped by SONIC THE HEDGEHOG (c)! In an amazing light show, Zan-mech goes boom and Regina falls to the ground.

The Iron Queen is arrested and NICOLE says all systems are stable, and that she can find no signs of the Yagyu or the Legion. Cue Sonic and Amy hug. Cue Ken and Sally hug.

Meanwhile... Snively and Eggman are heading back to the Eggdome, and Robotnik has a plan again! Ah, it's been such a long time since he's had a coherent plan. Good to see the fat dude back in the saddle, but you gotta feel sorry for Snivs.

I just figured I was doing what was the norm around here, as despite the fact that all solicits and previews have always been marked as spoilers and I had been keeping spoilers in the original topics for issue discussion, a different spoiler topic for each issue usually popped up anyway.  However, now it appears as though we're going to try and keep things simpler around here (in reference to the other thread), so I'll make sure to keep things in one specific thread for each different issue.

As for the issue at hand, I highly doubt Lien-Da's dead.  After all the character building she's had as of late, I have a hard time believing we're going to have her thrown away so soon.  Besides, I doubt the Legion would bother risking themselves to "gather up" a dead person.  This is more karma than anything, especially after she attempted to use her people as puppets, and after she shoved Dimitri's paralyzed head in a shoe-box and then hid it.  The way I see it, Robotnik is probably going to patch her up, and she'll appear more robotic/scarred.  I'll be curious to see what ends up happening to Lien-Da the next time we see her and over time, I forsee this set back will probably only make her more vehement, desperate, paranoid and insecure.

Yay, the ID arc is over! So I take it Lien-Da will undergo a transformation similar to poor Dimitri after Mogul sapped him of his power, maybe. As long as she isn't dead.

It's too bad the Journey to the East arc is still going. I mean we knew how it'd end (Regina losses control of the clans) but it'd still be nice if it ended around the same time as the main arc...or is this just a case of sour grapes?

I mean since he pretty much dedicates every waking moment to making mobian's lives miserable so that would seem counterproductive not to mention that he didn't seem to care whether they lived or died since he planted those bombs in them and all. He only gave them their cybernetics back so he can get that extra leverage over them with the bombs and all. It wasn't as if he did it out the kindness of his heart and whatnot.

If we were talking about Eggman pre-Enerjak:Reborn, I'd be more inclined to agree with you.  However, Eggman has to preserve what he has, and make the best of it.  I'm not saying he'd do it out of the kindness of his heart, but rather as a way to benefit himself.  Eggman hates pretty much everything, and he's dedicated to complete domination of the
planet, but he has saved Snively and a few other people (including Mobians) before.  Not because it was
the right thing to do, but for some reason that usually benefited himself.
Lien-Da could possibly get a bit more tricked out and become more of a
cyborg with increased fighting abilities, and thus be a more powerful minion/pawn for Eggman to
control (or something more helpful, that's just an idea).  Keep in mind, DEL is especially important to Eggman right now because they're the only ground forces he has that also serve to protect both his capital and himself.  Let's face it, the echidna DEL is more or less a joke right now (a fact that seemingly everyone is at least somewhat aware of).  They could use any boost they can get. 

Even if she doesn't get extra power or a boost of any real sort, she's
the DEL's commander.  I don't have the issue myself, but judging from
the scans, the Legion still depends on her to lead them to some extent.  Snively seemed incapable as he's too much of a coward, and Eggman needs/wants someone to lead his forces when he's doing other things.  At the very
least, the DEL care enough about her to scoop up what's left of her to
bring back to the EggDome.  As for Eggman not giving a hoot before, keep in mind he was in a steady decline when most of those comments were thrown out, and at that point he was far more careless and less careful.  Sure, when it really comes down to it he doesn't really care for them, but at the current time I think he's going to use all he's got.

I have to say this, i like robotnik better without the glasses. And also that the Iron Dominion saga is over. Time for more characters to be shown again.
