Seriously someone else should post these:
Great. Ken saves the day somehow.
Thought the statue 5 times bigger then Sonic's stone one was a bit excessive, though.
Reminds me of the giant statue of Buddha. Ok, so Lotus King Khan made me chuckle 😛
Kind of funny that you wouldn't think of a Lion in the same place as an Eastern themed country (Is it wrong I hope to see a place themed after Africa?) but anyways...looks interesting in that we finally don't have to deal with the Iron Queen showing up and the heroes forgetting that the Iron King is invincible, for the umpteenth time.
Yea, a Buddha-esque statue with a little fat trimmed off...=p

Nope. Nothing wrong at all with that. I waited what, 10 years and they gave it to me with Resident Evil 5 :O. So I'm sure they'll make a place with a bunch of ....panthers. Yeah. panthers GET ON IT DUBZ!
Just picked this issue up yesterday and I really enjoyed it.
My favorite part is on page 11 (why don't they number them anymore?), when everyone is doing introductions and Sonic and Tails mess it up with their own cockiness. I actually snickered out loud at the last panel on that page. It's good to see Tails finally becoming a little over-confident after hanging out with Sonic for so long.
Also, I like to see Sonic struggle a little bit like he is with Khan and Sally's new relationship. It makes him more relatable as a character, and shows that he's not invincible to absolutely everything.
Overall, great issue and I'm excited to read the rest of the arch. Ian Flynn is doing a great job with the stories.
I enjoyed the issue. It was a nice start. So
four issues for four clans? Tails little crush on whatshername is cute
and the bit in the background with him drying her off with his tailspin
was funny. Also enjoyed the backstory on Uma and her kids. Felt like a
nice little bit of closure concerning her.
Only thing that felt off was Sally's little outburst. It just seemed so... random.

I beg to differ. I honestly don't know why it didn't happen before now. Sally has had more reign over the kingdom than anyone else in the comic series aside from the short period when Knothole was in another dimension and things were ruled by King Acorn. And with that long reign comes even more stress for Sally.
I thought it seemed rather fitting, and made another character seem even more realistic. I guess it's nice to see a little drama within the characters themselves rather than the typical, "oh there's a bad guy, man he annoys me, let's go kick his butt, yay now we're happy again!"
It made perfect sense to me.
It's not even as though we haven't seen Sally go off like that before when stressed. Ever since she first cried herself to sleep in Brave New World, we've seen little flashes of how much being a figurehead weighs on her. Whilst it's never been mentioned by name, we know that Doctor Quack was keeping an eye on her for what was basically depression just before she had her biggest blow-up in 134, and she'd been displaying little symptoms of it ever since issue numbers were in the nineties.
I'd been waiting for it to pop up again. For me, it rounds the character out - and after the return to Sally's SatAM-style interaction in 173, I'm glad to see it. I find it easier to sympathise with a well-rounded character reacting to situations in an identifiable fashion than a perfect little princess with a bulletproof ego and a smart-mouthed comeback for everything.
I like Sam's explanation better than mine. Good job.
