Looks great! Although the "one year ago" part is making the obsessive fanboy in me cringe a bit.
Preview already? First issue never even came in the mail!
And then the fangirl in all of us squealed a shrill cry.
I gotta say it's probably not a good idea to have force field that doesn't completely encircle the perimeter, though, or even leave behind a hole in which a small object can slip into trying to escape from said field. All Eggman needs is a " Egg Mole " or an " Egg Butterfly " (he'll probably call it something more manly like an Egg Moth but it's quite obviously a cutesy butterfly) and they're finished.

Hmph, that's what I was thinking seems pretty stupid on Sonic's part. BTW, I love how Shadow looks annoyed but then smiles like he's thinking, Hmph, heh, somethings never change do they?
it looks good so far. haven't gotten my hands on SU #1 yet. seems stores in the area aren't getting the memo just yet...
Picked up SU1 today :o. This looks fun. Yeah I guess Sonic figures he'll be back super fast. And besides, he gotta get back, do Issue 199 and then win in 200 >>So he'll have time to rest.
I'm willing to bet that Sonic will be late for the final push because of whatever happens in this issue and will come in at the last minute in 200 to save the day. That's just the way he is.
Something nearly-disastrous should happen since we already know they're going to win if only to make it a little more suspenseful.
Maybe Eggman will capture the FF and they fight from the inside but he plans to blow up the city with them inside it and then Sonic gets everyone out like in Issue 37 which was beyond awesome and he needs to be uber super duper hella crying out the sneaker crease breaking speed fast !
..Yeah ,,,that issue was hot, I just finished reading it again

I dunno, given how these books aren't supposed to be required reading to understand the other one, I don't think that's the case. Actually, I'd be willing to bet that by the end of the issue, Sonic is safely back with the Freedom Fighters.
...wow, I kind of forgot about this entirely. Looks interesting so I may have to do a revi---er spoilers.
Got the issue today. It was an okay story. Seemed to have a few purposes: hype us further for StH #200 and adapt SA2.
While I did like the parallels such as Shadow falling and this time Sonic catching him, I must say that the story had a very disjointed feeling. The constant switching on one particular page was pretty bad. I could also see how a reader could be very lost if they weren't familiar with SA2.
I really enjoyed the ending too.
The issue didn't really tie so much into the invasion that it would bother me. The doom laser was only featured here so this doesn't really affect the main story and confuse its readers. So, as much as I hate crossovers, this was an example of a good crossover.
And shame on whoever closed up on the cover. I could see the pixeliness, darn it!
Really? I kinda enjoyed the switching back and forth. The ending kinda made me giggle though. (scandalous??)
I am enjoying the facial expressions that Tracy gives the characters. Artistically, this is above and beyond the art before, and this pleases me. Although, even though almost everywhere I read people adore the coloring, it feels... underwhelming for me. Jensen hasn't made any glaring errors (remember the occasional "Blue Arm Syndrome"?) and I greatly appreciate that, but still, to me it's just good enough. (Then again, I think the penacle of art in the Sonic comic was Julie-Su's Shadows story in the all-girls SSS, so I can't really talk. :P)
