I love this comic series. XD
Also, notice how the 25th issue's cover is a parody of issue 1!
I think I get more enjoyment out of the covers than the stories (Okay I actually haven't read a Sonic X story but I should). These covers are so much more fun than regular Sonic...and do I see a Hogan impersonation?
Never in my life did I expect to see Eggman in...*gulp*...spandex! Way to go SPAZ now my sleep is restless!
At least he's wearing something.
Darnit, I saw the cover for #25 and for a moment I was excited that Super Sonic was making an appearance.
Heh, I like how issue 25 resembles the cover to issue 1.
But I could've gone my entire life without seeing Eggman in that crazy outfit.

I believe SU's got the point to this.

Since the beginning of this comic's run, we've seen:
Artist Eggman
Vampire Eggman
Santa Eggman
Elvis Eggman
Greasy Auto-Mechanic Eggman
And now Gran Gordo.
One can only wonder what the future holds for Eggman's ever growing resume.
S&M Eggman!
And yet on nearly every cover, Bokkun is clearly enjoying what he has to offer.
Do I smell.....a 'ship?! x.x;;
He did'nt like Elvis Eggman.. >->
I also thought that was Super Sonic for a second =/
It really is about time Sonic went Super in the comic. And also, when will they start doing story arcs again? Every issue lately has been pretty much self-contained, my heart sank when I scrolled down and saw that #26's story had nothing to do with #25's, I was really hoping they'd at least make it a 2 part story....huuuh....it needs to be more episodic.
Joe Edkin pretty much made it clear awhile back, though I don't think you were here then, that when they took him off as the permanent writer of the Sonic X comics, they also did not want them to have story arcs, or at least not that many. Why, I don't know.
Ah I see, that's too bad. I just don't see how the comic can really go anywhere now, as I think I also read that they have no plans to have stories that take place in and around the "Season 2" timeline (eps 53 thru 78, the Metarex saga)...although Cosmo has a made a few small cameos (on the cover of issue 21 for example)
They don't plan to go into season 2, because it's rideculously out of theme with the series, is too dark for what they're trying to go for, and in my personal opinion, season 2 was the most boring thing I had ever watched, so I'm glad it's not going there.
You mean season 3. (Cosmo and the Metarex)
The comic is based on the dub, so that's what I'm going by, the dub's seasons.

Does that mean Shadow won't be in the Sonic X comic?
Astute observation. That's exactly what it means.
Well, each to their own.
But what's stopping them from having stories that take place in the six month (six years in Chris' world) gap between eps 52 and 53? But I guess they want it to stay in Chris' world =/
after looking at the cover of #26, i would have thought that El Gran Gordo might fight kid muscle or something?
(sorry if anyone who never saw kinnkuman or ult muscle never got the joke)
well i can't wait for those comics

A direct quote written by Ian on his message board.

Well, the Season 1-2 thing is our (Archie team) descision. It's sad we miss out on Cosmo, but that season was so dark and out of theme with the series that we don't really want to mess with it. Things were the most fun on Earth, so that's where we're staying for the foreseeable future.
That green hegehog in the first comic book cover looks like Ashura to me, minus that black bang thingy he had and Ashura is/was a darker green on color. Wonder if anyone put it in there as a gag or something.
I just thought of something.. in issue #26, we're going to see Sonic and Eggman 'wrastle'. Does that mean we'll see stuff like Sonic pile driving Eggman, or Eggman trying to smash Sonic's skull with a folding chair??
Ohhh, my brain tingles with wonder and excitement!
About the #26 cover:
I love how Knuckles seems to be giving Sonic a pep talk, and Sonic just looks annoyed.
While I'm really not interested in the Sonic X series, I have to make a few observations: the idea of Sonic being attacked by evil duplicates who are all the other primary and secondary colors seems a bit lame-the last thing we need are more Sonic clones. As for the whole "Grand Gordo" deal, I find it dumb that Sonic is going to be fighting him when Knuckles is the obvious choice for wrestling.

That may be, but this gives the artists an excuse to stick Eggy in spandex. Hilarity is bound to ensue!
I wonder if they'll ever shift to the Second Season of Sonic X, or ever go that never made third season? (Though at least Sonic X got a CONCLUSION! SatAM Sonic just a raw deal.)
They're not going to. Ian's already said the tone of the second/third/whatever season (eps 53+) is too dark for the tone they're trying to set for the comic.,
While Hooray and Yippy for X being light hearted, it also means the characters are frozen in their personalities and can't develope. Okay, this applies to 99% of all video game franchises and the main comic, but still.
Hey, it's been working for Archie for 65 years.
Personally, I always felt that Archie StH was basically just Archie in a Sonic costume XD
Sonic's got two dates at the same time, luckily, he's fast enough to be at both. Or is he?
When Knuckles' father kicks his son of the island, the former gaurdian of the Master Emerald will have to make it on his own, with HILARIOUS results.
But yea. Sonic X. I like the fact that the characters won't be changing anytime soon.
