Does anyone know when this issue is due out? Based on previous issues, I would have figured this week, but no such luck.
I know! I know!
It comes out in February. Remember, Sonic X is not quite monthly.
I know it's a bum deal having to wait, but I hope you'll find the issue worth waiting for. I think it's a real hoot.

Thanks, I guess this gap is becaue they were originally planning it as a miniseries, and later switched to a full series.
I thought you said August was going to be the skip month, Joe.
There are two skip months; that's ten issues per year. Check the bottom of the first page of issue 4 and you can verify this for yourself: "March" is skipped, and issue 4 was the "February" issue.
I wish it came with 12 issues per month. Well 10 is still good. I was wondering why it took Sonic X #5 so long to come out.
Sonic X #5 should be hitting comic stores this coming Wednesday, February 8. I'm really looking forward to seeing the final version!

And, of course, a few subscribers should be getting it a little bit earlier than that, usually around the previous Saturday, which is today. I'm hoping it'll come today. I'm anxious to see Tracy's art on the book, because his other art I've seen is excellent, and of course I'm also intrigued by the Chao story.
Oh snap... I completely missed this whole series, and I made it a point to myself to actually buy this, since I heard Spaz would be throwing down those pencils. So umm... is he really doing the art? And when did the series start?
It started last year. Only the first four issues have come out so far (and they are available on back-order). SPAZ does indeed draw the covers, tho other artists illustrate the stories (like Tim Smith III)
There is alot to like about this issue.
1.)The overall plot is good.
2.)The background stories on Chris and Cream is handled well.
3.)Cosmo, Vector, and Tikal make cameos (sort of).
4.)Eggman actually has a scheme thats slightly feasable!
5.)Evil Chaos Rule!!
6.)Last, but not least. Tracy Yardly's artwork is miles ahead of Tim Smith. The characters all have that cartoon look without trying to hard to look "anime". Plus, He does very well with spacing in backgrounds. He just made my list of top five Sonic artists.
Slight negatives;
1.)Eggman's scheme can only go so far. As Beccoe (or is it Deccoe?) pointed out it may win him Station Square, but not the world.
2.)How dumb are the citizens of station square that they would buy ANYTHING from Eggman? Especially after all he's done to them. They're more gullible than Knuckles.
2.) A little too much focus on Cream for my tastes. Never liked her character much.
3.)Thanks to 4Kids dubbing mistake, Cheese is now a girl. I thought Joe might correct this in the comic but I guess for continuities (that word's a mouthfull) sake, he decided not to.
Joe's obviously's having alot of fun with this book and it shows. The first few issues were a little TOO kiddy for my tastes (yea, I know, it's a kids comic. What did I expect?). But I'm glad I hung on. Very well done.
Spoiler warnings... please! This isn't a spoiler thread and my copy hasn't come yet. Or if we ARE making this the spoiler thread, could the title be edited?
I know spoiler tags aren't possible in Knothole, but could you at least put a big, bold warning? I'm just glad I didn't read too far into your post before I realized it was spoilery.
EDIT: Thank you, TR. ::leaves topic until such time as the postal service sees fit to to deliver my copy::
Actually, I disagree on the limitness of the plan. If it weren't for the fact that it will obviously be stopped next issue (and Knux will make some form of customary appearance), it could spread to the entire world. I'm surprised that the "chao" hadn't eaten its way out of the trash can.
My main nitpick toward the issue is the calling Cheese a "she," except for one time when Cheese was referred to as a "him." Also, the plural of chao is supposed to be chao, not chaos; but I'm going to assume that stuff has to do with 4Kids though I don't have to like it. ;p One other nitpick was Tikal being given purple eyes. Knuckles is the only one with purple eyes. Tikal's eyes are blue. Also, I think they should've been in the car (except Sonic) for the last panel. It just bothered me that they were suddenly in the middle of the street after being in the car (though the car was sort of nearby in the panel).
But otherwise, by far the best issue I've read or viewed. Yardley (whose name is misspelled in the credits) is really good.
For those that care, no fan art but there was a Sonic-Grams section.
Sorry about the spoilers most of the reviews around here have spoilers, but I forgot that this wasn't a review thread.
Page 4:
Chesse was happy to be around the other Chao when they came through the Master Emerald to Earth
The Chao not came through the Master Emerald to Earth. They already were there several decades before the arrival of Sonic. Mr.Tanaka had discovered the Chao Garden in Japan when he was a kid. (Episode 22)
Once the Chaos Monster broke free of Dr.Eggman control
Eggman never had controled Chaos.
It's Chaos who used Eggman to get the seven Chaos Emerald.
Tikal and Chaos left immediately after the defeat of Perfect Chaos and without the Chao. (Episode 32)
There are no time for this scene to take place, this flashback is a continuity error.
During Chris's flashback, it's show that Chris and Helen already were friends when they were 6 years old.
I don't know about the english and the japanese version, but in the french dub of episode 14, when Sonic said he has to help Helen, Chris doesn't know who is Helen.
