The only blatant examples are the Chaotix pages.
Worth a look, if only to see if you agree or disagree.
Well it's obvious he traced, it's been obvious since he pencilled issue 15 as well.
That's definatly a trace.

Now I really feel old. I remember when we used to blame DiC and then FUNimation.
I loled.
Hm, tracing is bad. Especially for someone who's supposed to be a professional. Was it purely out of laziness, or was the deadline something he simply couldn't make on his own?
If you read my Sonic X review, I critcized him for the same thing. There are many panels which were obviously traced from the series. That's just sad.
I have disliked the Sailor Moon dub since Zoicite became a girl. What was the point? So he's a swishy bishy. There's no shortage of 'em in that genre. Plenty of straight-shooters too so enjoyment can be had for all types.
As to the art, I saw it in the store and didn't buy it (a rare occurence). Hopefully Wanish will learn that there is more joy to be had in drawing your own poses even if they cannot match series' quality.
Zoicite and Kunzite were in a relationship. During the early 90's gays were a bad rumour, like Michael Jackson and the Boogeyman. These days they're the enemy of all living republicans.
Either way, admitting they exist in Sailor Moon would be unpatriotic, and Captain America would have shield throw'd them.

Then I'm probably the most unpatriotic person in the US, Craig. :p
BRING IT, Cap!
I'm actually more interested in Sonic X's front cover of Knuckles watching in utter shock as his Amy kisses the daylights out of Sonic. That echidna is jealous, jealous I tells ya! He wants some hot pink hedgehog goodness.

OH IT'S ALREADY BEEN BROUGHT. (see Civil war #7)
back on topic, this does seem really lazy of the artist.
Geez, even "Hands" was better than this.
Woah! Woah! Woah! Let us not get excited! =
I have no pity for tracers...You do that at my art school they fail you. =P

NOOOO! PLEASE NO! My eyes can't bare it! @__@
OH GOD CALM DOWN PEOPLE LETS NOT GO NUTS.
Someone send Questern there a copy or five of Many's many artistical offenses so that he may better reacquaint himself with the horror he so easily dismisses. 🙂
After his eye-rape, we will continue the discussion.

Such a beautiful style.
I feel violated. *shiver*
I send an e-mail to Mr. Mike Pellerito about this and well, good news:
Quote:
--As to copying screenshots from the TV show, we at the time did not realize this was happening. It is impossible to remember each frame of animation and every panel of art produced for the various comics over the years. Once we found out this was happening the artist was removed from the project.
Best,
Mike
So yea, no more copied art.
we need someone to replace this guy with someone with fresh lemony art,.... how bout you toby, you said so yurself you'd rather work on the sonic X comics right?
I'd like to pencil for both one day, but if I had to choose, the silly stories of Sonic X appeal to me more.
Well... shucks... the fan responce to all of this got him fired.
Th fans are determined to root out all 'suck' from their beloved franchise. It's a shame they can't work their magic on the games as easily.
It's a question of professionalism, really. That, and I don't think he was giving the fanbase enough credit.
"I thought I could get away with it too, if it weren't for them nosy kids!"

No, he got fired for plagiarism. The editor's reply didn't say that it happened immediately after he was sent those letters.
And besides, he should have been fired. If you get hired to write a book, you don't directly copy existing material and try to pass it on as your original work, do you?
Why's the guy working as an artist in such a field in the first place when he flat-out doesn't have the skill, anyway?
He's a storyboard artist. Those guys usually don't have to stay on model, or anything like that.
Id give my left arm to work for archie in the illustrations department, but if I did that i couldnt draw the craptastic crap that i draw now.. lol www.callihanclan.deviantart.com
Ha!! He copied so much that in one panel, he accidentaly gave Sonic three arms!

Oh, come now it ain't that bad. I still don't see what you all are complaining about there. Dave Manak's artwork is way worse hands down, no pun intended.

It is! Most of a page having nothing but white background and Photoshopped snowflake effects?
I dunno, Ray. His artwork in the comic version of "Cry of the Wolf" was pretty horrible.
Do I have to put [sarcasm] tabs everywhere? There's absolutely no need for everyone to freak out. So it's been a while. I put them both in the same category: Lame and Fired.

Well, no. That would ruin our fun.
