SONIC X #12 by Joe Edkin, Tim Smith, & Spaz With evil Eggman behind bars, Sonic finds himself a man without a mission. Even his best friend Tails is otherwise occupied! Tails has been called in by the government to reverse-engineer the alien technology in the tripod from Sonic X #7. However, when Agent Westwood aka "Cowboy" reveals other plans for this super-powered alien war machine, it sounds like Sonic could be on another mission soon enough! 32pgs, FC SRP: $2.25

Sounds interesting enough. Makes me curious as to how far this Westwood guy will go to get recognition.

I was wondering when we'd see that alien tripod followed up on.

Just a reminder: according to Joe, the title of this story is "Attack from Area 99." As anyone familiar with the show can probably guess from the solicitation, this issue takes place after episode 41, "We Can See The Light" (US: "Eggman for President").

The cover looks great, with the love for AiAi and the Wii.

Truly, Sonic X must take place on some alternative Earth to our own. For it would seem, on this particular interdimensional plane Sega merged with a floundering Nintendo after their N64 and Gamecube bids failed to recapture their old marketshare.

A plane of existence where animals talk and Sega is king. Surely, this cannot be reality.

The fact that Sega licensing allowed this to be put on the cover of a Sonic product is a clear indicator that Sega is going to rejoin the console market. *shot*

Nice to see Tails being used for his brain instead of just handing Sonic a ring on occasion. I love AiAi and the Wii on the cover.
