Seems like we'll be getting a semi tie-in of Sonic Adventure 2 (more than we got last time anyway). Also, looks like Eggman still has quite a bit of fighting left in him, though that isn't really a surprise. These seem like they will be entertaining.
Every time I see #198's cover I think of Angel Island Zone.
Rouge is worried because she isn't a super fast hedgehog. 
Well, Sonic Universe sounds more and more interesting; I'll have to look into it some more.
As for #198, that Egg Phoenix had better be a lot more impressive than it sounds right now. I mean honestly, what is with the Egg fixation? How does a robot version of Dr. Robotnik from another dimension become a guy with an Egg fetish? Anyway, I just hope that #200 turns into the Black Arms finally showing up, or something like that. I'm getting tired of waiting for them, and Eggman is proving himself increasingly idiotic. Come on, the guy tried to change the name of the Dark Legion, and now he's wasting the only excuses for allies he's got while he sends out one robot at a time to take on the good guys-unsuccessfully, I might add.
I think you just answered your own question. He calls so many of his creations "Egg" because he is in fact called Eggman.
I just hope that #200 turns into the Black Arms finally showing up, or something like that. I'm getting tired of waiting for them
IIRC Ian's said a number of times that there's no plans for the Black Arms to show up anytime soon. Their war with the Xorda in #171 was just to acknowledge they exist, but they're not going to be making an actual appearance for a long time if at all.
SU has definitely got my interest piqued. and i'm liking the current stories in the regular series. will be keeping an eye out for these stories
Holy crap the Egg Phoenix looks so much like Robotnik's mech from the OVA/Sanime movie!
