Do you think it (all final 4 epsiodes) could have been shown as one movie or could be released as direct to dvd movie.
I wish it would have been and hope it could be.
But what about you all, what do you think?
Didn't you, or somebody else, already ask this question?
Yeah, this essentially sounds like a repeat of the whole "There was a SatAM movie and you all saw it because if you combine these episodes it's like movie length" thing.
whoa, whoa, whoa...what?
All four final episodes? ...As Sonic would say, "Say What?"
23. Cry of the Wolf
24. Drood Henge
25. Spyhog
26. The Doomsday Project
These are the last four episodes, are they not? Unless I'm missing something, it would be pretty hard to just combined all of these together...
I wonder if anyone ever thought to tape those. oo
Heck if we can't get them on DVD it'd be nice if we could just download them for free
Mau, if you IM me, I might be able to help you....
by the way...I'm Stewie0015

For your benefit, a brief FAQ:
Q: Is it possible to download SatAM episodes for free on the Internet?
A: Yes.
Q: Is it legal?
No.
Q: You're wrong, because (insert reason here)
No, I'm not.
Q: Well, where can I find epsiode downloads?
Try right here.
The end.
Now that is so cute. I love that FAQ. ^_^
And you linked me to the rules....why?

I hate reading legal documents...so here's the important stuff...the reason why Dirk linked you to this...
Quote:
Links - Don't link to porn, ROMs, warez, anything illegal (that includes Sonic cartoon episode downloads or full issue Archie comic scans), or images that redirect to anything inappropriate for this board.
But Mau, my friend, I might be able to help you...;) < i hate you emoticon...If I use HTML, I can't use you...but if I use ezCodes, my Quote tags don't work... >
But I wasn't linking to full issue scans and downloads of episodes. I was MERELY implying that it would be cool/nice if we could download SatAM. I did NOT say anything about linking to downloading it. I know well enough what the rules are, I don't need to be harrassed about it every time I come here. There's nothing wrong with distribution through private messaging whereupon that has nothing to do with the board whatsoever! ><

I know you aren't breaking the rules. But you said it would be nice if you could download them for free. I just wanted you to be aware that it is possible but illegal, and I wanted to stress the point because last time a similar topic came up, someone claimed that it was legal.

It's still illegal, just not against MoFo rules. I wouldn't say there's "knothing wrong" with it.
And I know I'm not on the MoFo Staff, but it simply annoys me when people use the MoFo as a way to arrange private-message transfer of pirated episodes, because this is virtually the same thing as providing a link.
Perhaps you think me a hypocrite, because I myself am guilty of numerous act of piracy... er... VERY numerous acts of piracy. And I recognize that it's illegal. It's not the piracy that bothers me, it's when people bring the MoFo into it.
EDIT: Oh, and one last thing: Most shows will eventually make it to DVD, but SatAM is one of those shows that has a particularly small chance because the first DVD was recalled and all other plans cancelled. But there is still a small chance. By supporting the download of SatAM episodes, you make that chance even smaller.
Errr. Well I wasn't setting up things like that either. I was made an offer to download stuff. Please leave that up to the staff. They'll do their job if they think I'm doing something wrong.
Well, if the episodes actually came out on DVD, then stuff like this wouldn't be an issue in the first place. IF I could figure out how to, I probably would try to download some episodes whether they were free or not. I just get really sick of big TV corporations who don't show the fans of their work any appreciation for remaining loyal even for years after a beloved show got canceled. :"> They never seem to do anything for people like us as a gesture of gratitude. And yes, I really do feel that way.
^what she said^
Thats all I used to do was watch sonic when I lived in texas because it was too hot to play outside in the summer.
Dic release the DVD or Ill make my own.

Yeah, that's right. Go ahead. Download and burn those low-quality episodes, and ruin any chance that you (or anybody else) will ever get a real DVD set, with high picture quality and (potentially) bonus materials.
Anyway, it's not DiC who's blocking the DVD release, it's Buena Vista. DiC wants to release the DVDs (and actually did release one).
How is downloading these episodes stop/discourage a company from releasing the episodes on to DVD...Now stop me if I'm wrong, but isn't this what happened to Family Guy...show got canceled after 3 seasons, episodes were running rampant on the internet so Fox decided to release it to DVD...the DVD's sold like hotcakes...and the show was eventually brought back to life?
Like SatAM, Family Guy has a cult following. But unlike SatAM, Family Guy had a wider market outside of that niche-- ie, the regular Fox viewer who remembers seeing it and liking it. SatAM's market is based chiefly on Sonic fans who saw the show back in the day and liked it, because most current casual fans don't know about it and most former casual fans then don't care anymore.
Therefore, the majority of the people who want SatAm are hardcore fans. And many of the hardcore fans have Internet access, and SatAM downloads are fairly easy to find.
So, if everyone who wants SatAM already has it via the Internet, DiC/SEGA/Buena Vista are more likely to decide that the SatAM DVD is not profitable and therefore never make it.
yeah...but by adding extras to the DVD, they would make it a lot more attractive...I wouldn't mind a bare bones DVD release, I'd be willing to fork over $30 for the complete series...the stuff you can find online is okay and i'm contempt with it, but I also wouldn't mind having something I can throw in a DVD play and watch on my TV...
if this is a repeat of what i just said, I'm sorry...I got four hours of sleep last night, and I've been stuck in a basement computer lab at my college for the last 8 1/2 hours...get me out of here!!
