Just curious...

A) Is Vector supposed to be a sexist?

B) Does he think Julie works for the bad guys?

C) Does he dislike her because he's jealous about something?

Which one is it?

Sexist? Vector was angry at her because she worked with the Dark Legion and had a lot of family ties with in the DL who had a lot of power. They buried their hatchets a long time ago though. They haven't fought in years.

bros before hos, man

But seriously... whut? Has this particular issue cropped up again recently? Why are we revisiting character quirks from years ago?

Apparently my original post wasn't good enough for you. How about D, none of the above? Seriously, do you even read the comics anymore? When was the last time you read an issue? Vector and Julie-Su haven't fought in years. About five years to be exact.

Yeah, they did make up. Still, I don't think Julie is Vec's favorite person, but meh. Anyway, Zonic, if you're gonna have a lot of questions, you might ought to just make one topic for all of them.

Q: Is Vector supposed to be a sexist? Does he think Julie works for the bad guys? Does he dislike her because he's jealous about something?

..............But still: Even after Julie proved herself to be on the side of good, WHY did Vector still show hate for Julie?....And more importantly, WHY did Vector and Julie decide to "bury their hatchets"? Did he do it to honor his companionship with Knuckles?(I've seen a comic page that gives me that impression.)

The alternative was to continue as they were, and a fat lot of good that ever did for either of them. And yes, their friendship with Knuckles was a big part of it.

He was still suspicious of her. You might be too if she had all of her family in the Dark Legion and it seemed like she turned on you at some point. Knuckles friendship did have a big part to do with it. I don't feel like typing out anymore explanations to someone who doesn't even read the comic book anymore and keeps asking questions that have been answered recently, or a very long time ago.

.....I guess that means I'm going to have to rely on other people to "type out explanations".....unless you change your mind.

Anyways, back on topic:

............If that's true, then: HOW did Vector and Julie decide that they should settle their differences/strain? Did they just have a talk? Did they fight over Knuckles? What.....And most importantly, what was Knuckles's role in the problems between Vector and Julie? Did say or do anything to bring them together? Or did he just stand by and watch their strain grow, only hoping that they would settle their problems on their own?

Knuckles died, and Vector and Julie-Su realized that to keep fighting would just be an insult to Knuckles' memory.

I thought it was funny when Vector blew Julie away with his headphones.

But, you really can't blame Vector for hating her at the beginning. The Dark Legion did attempt to kill him and the Chaotix at one point, and she was part of that group.

A good many of the reasons why Vector didn't like Julie-Su in the beginning have been given. I would like to add that the two of them were somewhat similar in personality, and as a result they naturally just didn't get along very well. Knuckles and Vector were the same at first, but once they'd knocked each other around a few times they were all fine. In addition, Vector was really tight with the rest of the Chaotix, and he doubtless felt that Julie-Su and Knuckles' growing relationship would split Rad Red off from the group, and he probably feared that it would have kept going.

And as for the sexism...if you ever saw the Knuckles comics, you'd know that Vector thinks-or at least used to think-that he's God's gift to women, and would readily go after a woman simply because he liked how she looked. He hasn't been hitting on any ladies lately, given his duties in the war and the fact that the only girls he's been with are main characters who are either taken or not his type. But if we ever get to see the Chaotix on leave from the war effort, and Vector happens to be in a popular hangout-like whatever New Mobotropolis has for a mall-and we'll see that he's the very opposite of sexist.

Ha ha! Yeah! Those are some powerful headphones vector wears. I wonder if he ever accidentally turned them up to loud?
