STH issue(s) that can be your favorite, inspirational, emotional, etc and why. Mine would be:

STH #51 - An issue that stands out because it was a mystery on what was going on. Though, it took years to reveal who actually sent sonic the medal in the first place, but I still liked it.

STH #108 - Ivo Robotnik's temporary return. It was good to see him again, though doubting we'll see him again.

STH #155-156 - A good confontation between Sonic and Evil Antoine. A creative plot too.

#42 always comes to mind. It feels like, for it's time, it was just a "perfect" issue.

Which was #42 again? Was it the one where Sonic went into the king's mind or was it the one where we found out that Fly Fly Freddy had been robotocized/Sleuth betrayed the FFs?

I always liked the Super Special of "Brave New World" and " Royale Rumble". Maybe I'm just oldschool like that.

The second one, Rayzor. Like I said, there's nothing special about it, but it always just felt to be to be the turning point between the old style of the comic, and the events leading up to EndGame and the deeper continuity that was established from then. Plus it's also a great read. #172 reminds me of it a lot, too.

To answer MattManic7325's question, ish #42 was when Sleuth betrayed the freedom fighters and #43 was when sonic went into the king's mind. That issue too (#43) was also an inspirational one.

Wasn't my question, I'd hardly be praising an issue if I couldn't remember what was in it =p

For all its flaws, I found the "Endgame" series to be inspirational. What Sonic, Sally, and the rest of the Freedom Fighters had to endure during the series, overcoming it, and being victorious, left a very good feeling. I like stories like that.

Issues #124-125 have got to be included. When else have you seen virtually every existing character in the Sonic universe joining together to fight a common foe? Not to mention that it featured Knuckles' rebirth-proving that Knuckles is one of those guys you just can't keep dead-and the great romance between Sonic and Sally.

The Return to Angel Island arc was sad but enlightening, as it shows you a more vulnerable side to good old Knuckles. It was also cool hearing that the Brotherhood got beat, but they went down in a blaze of glory.

Chaos Knuckles' time in the series was great, as you got to see so many aspects of Knuckles. You saw repeatedly how much he and Julie-Su cared for each other, his determination to help his people no matter the cost, and his willingness to forgive even someone who had tried to kill him and his friends on multiple occasions. I just wish he'd gotten more of a chance to take on Mogul: that would have been a true battle of titans.

Super Sonic Special #5: Sonic Kids.

To this day it is my favourite Super Sonic Special and one of my top five Sonic issues. It just felt, right!

No serious life & death storyline, no ridiculous drama, just fun (For me that is).

Also. I loved the Sonic in the Red Chuck Taylors!

EDIT: Oh and Sonic #40, because it was the first Sonic Issue I ever read.
