OK, this is something of a thought experiment based on some of John Rawls' theories of justice, for those who know them, and I'm just curious to see how this goes...
I invite you all to begin establishing a set of rules for a new society, including political system, rights, and values held by the society. However, these rules must be agreed upon by a majority at the very least, preferably unanimous. However, there are certain values (what Rawls referred to as Primary Goods) which you are to take into consideration, and these are more or less the only things you should consider. These values, which are considered to be things that all people require in some modicum in order to have a decent life, are: Rights & Liberties; Powers & Opportunities; Income; Health & Vigour; Intelligence; Imagination; and Self Respect.
Please reply with suggestions of rules you would propose for the society, since I'd be interested to see how this goes. This is something I've only just started looking at, so I'm by no means an expert on this, but it seems like an interesting thought experiment...
Yes, I know that, but what's your point? I just said I'm not a communist. So... what are you trying to prove?

And if I'm Jimro's opposite then that makes us completely unalike really, doesn't it?
