I'm talking about hormons creating differences in Brain functions. Guys and girls have different brains (They act differently naturally, you can go to the youngest boy and odds are he will be very violent, while girls usually aren't, there might be some, but I have never seen a girl be quite as violent as a boy). And I don't think girls should be treated infiriorly to guys, but I believe in marrage, the wife should obey the husband, but that is beside the point. If you believe that then homosexuality wouldn't work.

Only problem is that we have the same hormones (in different doses based on genes; women have testosterone and men have estrogen), and the ones that differ affect reproduction/sexual-stuff--not our personalities. Also, what is your definition for "violent?" There are plenty of little girls that fight and hurt others (with and without weapons) even if you've never seen it; and of course plenty more as females get older. Hopefully seeing something is not a determining factor as there are plenty of things most of us will never see that do happen/exist.

I mean like how little boys love to pretend to fight, no matter what. Even if you give them Barbies they will still fight with them, making them violent. Also I know that hormones make different hair, voice, ect. so why wouldn't it make difference in their brains? Also I heard girl's brains are usually smaller than a guys, from three seperate sources. Either that is an urban legend or it is true. And also, it is very much obvious boys and girls act completely different And I'm not buying that "It is just the culture forcing them to act that way" thing. I'm certain it is the other way around, the culture is like that because we act differently.

I'm not bothering to read through the better half of this page, but I'll state it like this:

Anyone who doesn't believe that men and women are better suited for certain jobs due to differentiating bodily and mental functions is a fool.

Anyone who believes these differences are inconquerable is also a fool.

That is all.

That's like asking why don't genes that affect hair don't affect the skin. Just because something affects one thing (body) doesn't make it affect another (personality). Brains are affected by our genes (not hormones) and our life experiences (what we eat, drink, do to it--in terms of trauma, etc.).

Brain size is based on your body size. Usually boys are bigger than girls. If you compare a boy and a girl of the same size, their brains will be the same size. The same thing for adults.

Of course you think that because you've never witnessed violent girls/women. I've grown up with violent girls/women from when I was little and I see it in schools (as a teacher) all the time. You will continue to see it the way you do until you experience otherwise--and you may not ever. That's why I understand that while we all act a certain way due to genes (you can want to do something but if you're not built for it and technology can't account for it then you won't do it), our environment plays too big a factor in how a person turns out to ignore it. That's why society has a huge role in determining how men/women behave. It's not like suddenly all these "smart" women appeared in the world that are now "take-charge" and "aggressive." Women like this always existed but they weren't allowed to act that way until society changed.

Ah, so that's why you're slightly confused. One moment. ^_^

Hormones, sex and otherwise, have significant influence on the brain. This has been supported by experimentation. Experimenter bias, gender concepts, and ignorance of social influences (which might cause some hormonal differences instead of the other way around) do lead to exaggerated conclusions, but hormones are important. The hormones play a complex role, however, and if somebody explained a specific stereotype with hormones I'd consider it probably a product of bias.

Which hormones affect the brain? I haven't heard of any unless you refer to things that cause the brain to set processes in motion--and that is not affecting the brain in my book.

That's what the second sentence's purpose was. :p

I wouldn't say they are better suited for different Jobs, but they function differently, there are some people who say a women wouldn't make a good president, and I think that is going a little to far, they do have some good points but I think the total logic is flawed. Especially since Women have done everything else in the government. but anyways Women are more emotional than men, and they do look at romance differently. You know the classic story of a knight in shining armor saving the damsel in distress. It is completely politically incorrect, but it is completely perfect idea of love. Girls want to be saved and guys want to save them. Girls are always waiting for thei knight in shining armor, and guys are waiting to find a girl they can fight for and win, not literally, but usually they buy girls stuff to show they love them. But how you guys think a girl and guys think and behave the same way is beyond me. i know girls are violent, but they don't normally play violence. They can but that is more of a learned behavior when they get older a boy is natural. But anyone who doesn't know the differences betweens boys and girls, really need to have that talk with their parents.

And anyone who believes the differences are anything other than sexual has been ignoring a lot of science from the latter part of the 20th century and the beginning of the 21st. Science from the days where all they did was "prove" the superiority of one gender or one race over others isn't very trustworthy.

It's distressing to see people that believe things like one gender being "superior". Just another example of intolerance though. :p

There is no inferior/superior gender. There are differences that make one gender superior to others in certain areas, however.

Women (I use women as an example because if I use my own gender I'll be a sexist, right?) are superior multi-taskers, are better with noticing fine details, and have (generally) a very-high level of patience. And personally, I don't know nothin' 'bout birthin' no babies.

Men also have their strengths, and it isn't just physical believe it or not. That's not to say one gender is stronger or smarter than another, simply that they are suited for different purposes by law of nature.
