People's views on nudity all vary due to many reasons. It could be because of what their culture makes of it, it could be because of what pop-culture makes of it. It could be because of the way they were raised, and what religion they were raised with... it could be because they're uncomfortable with it. But to all of the people who find it horribly offensive, I have to say... what's the big deal? Sure, you can censor a breast or something of the like on television, yet the people viewing still know what it is and what it really looks like, so what's the point?
There are some people who find nudity to be "dirty" and "unclean" and whatnot. Well, how the hell were you born? If you're Christian, what the hell were Adam and Eve wearing before they sinned? Nothing! If we're born nude, if we were created nude, if a portion of our early ancestors were nude... who gives a damn? If it's not portrayed sexually, I say there's no problem with it. Some say it's sexual. If so...
Look at some of the most known and respected pieces of artwork in history. Yeah, they portray nudity. But is it sexual? Well, sometimes, but the most known ones are not sexual at all. In fact, they are very beautiful and thought provoking and stuff.
In short my view is that it's no big deal.
Well, what are your views on nudity? More specific, nudity in the media and public nudity TELL ME HEATHEN.
Well- just like you said in the first paragraph- some people are uncomfortable with it.
There was a programme I was watching the other day about a group of people who walked around naked in the feilds because THEY were comfortable with it.
Some people just don't like nudity. And another thing- didn't Adam and Eve hide their nakedness because they were ashamed after they sinned?
As I said, they were openly and comfortably nude BEFORE they sinned.
I get my wang out all the time, usually by accident. Draw your own conclusions.
I love it when you do, Jman, you know that?
Seriously, though, could you please express your opinions on nudity like the first post asked? It would be muchly appreciated.
Oh and nudepix plz
Public nudity is a disgrace and a menace to society, unless the person in question is myself or a hot girl.
I don't care, but I don't want furries running nekkid through the Guild.

Unless the person in question is Cycle or a hot girl. :3

Maybe we SHOULD scan that page in SSS#11 where Sally gets nekkid...
...
...well, maybe not. But I wouldn't mind it.
But I wouldn't mind it.
I would. D:

Okay. Fine. I... I know when I'm not wanted. If all we've been through means nothing to you, then... okay... it's nothing.

Hot anatomically incorrect cartoon girls! :3

Hot anatomically incorrect cartoon girls! :3
EDIT!(&*#@&: Wait. I do object to that. I thought you said "CORRECT"
I prefer no public nudity and no nudity in my entertainment as well...why? I don't like it and I live in a house with parents who listen to Focus on the Family...A LOT...you figure it out...
Focus on the Family... Killed my childhood. *Black Mage patented eye twitch*
Must resist, mocking, right-wing, intolerants.

I don't really know why you'd want to be naked all the time. The only time I find it comfortable is when I'm at home alone.
Clothes are handy:
Hot vinyl car seats during the summer
Cooking food that splatters
Coffee spills
Cold days
Rain
Playing with small kittens who have sharp claws
Hiking
Falling down
In short: clothes do more than keep us from showing our goodies to the world. They protect us and if accessorized well, look awesome. I guess public nudity is okay, but when I really think about the kind of situations I am in in public I'm sort of glad that we wear clothes. Who really wants to sit down in a seat in a restaurant where someone else's sweaty ass has sat?
As for TV: I'm glad there isn't alot of nudity on TV. I don't exactly feel like I'm losing some part of the viewing experience by not seeing nudity.
Cats claws tend to go THROUGH my clothes. Of course Miles is a devilcat. And not too bright either.

Yes and some people (A lot of guys) need to just keep their darn shirts on...no further comment on that...
I don't care, but I don't want furries running nekkid through the Guild. Unless the person in question is Cycle or a hot girl. :3
Merely reiterating your point.
But in all seriousness, most states DO have laws reguarding public nudity.
~Rico
Public nudity is fully legal in British Columbia. It's a pity most hot girls don't take advantage.
Nudity is the human body. It's completely wonderful and beautiful, am I right? Nudity and sex is very different. It's like when someone says "That magazine is bad, there is nudity in it!" When actualy, it is nudity that is used to turn someone on. However, even natural, unintended to be lustful nudity, can have 16 year old porn hounds pausing their DVDs and taking pictures. But humans are sexual creatures, is it realy THAT bad though?
I personaly don't get why they don't show perfectly peaceful nudity on television. But graphic deaths can get through. However, I'm just speaking for the U.S. here. It was mentioned that some people can me uncomfortable about it...but so can people be about violence, or even foul language for that matter. Different things discomfort different people. But hey! ^^; and no...lets not scan SSS #11. I've never read it, but I don't like where it is going. Lets scan some of the Ghost in the Shell manga though. =b *shot*

Personally I get embarrised when I see people on display...
It's not a cutural thing, it's just how I am. I'm a private person, and I prefer other people to remain private.
They can keep their bits to themselves thankyou very much
There's no need for nudity to be erotic, and people can live and act quite normally while not wearing clothes. If anything, the hype about nudity being taboo is the main source of the idea that being naked is somehow guaranteed to be erotic, when actually someone acting normally while naked is generaly less arousing than someone fully clothed actively seducing someone. In some ways, clothing can increase erotic thoughts, through covering up just enough to give people some idea of what's concealed.
Personally, however, I find wearing clothes more comfortable, even on hot days. But if other people are moe comfortable wearing less or no clothes, I'm not going to stop them.
Who really wants to sit down in a seat in a restaurant where someone else's sweaty ass has sat?
I really mostly meant nudity at places like the beach... oO

The way I see it, the clothing has more sex appeal than the actual nudity. Man sees attractive woman in clothing, man wants to get in her pants. Man sees attractive woman without clothing... well, he can't get in her pants then, can he? Generally, he wouldn't pay much mind if it was tolerated in public. Although most men would keep looking despite making complete asses of themselves.
Think of it this way-
If everybody was naked, nobody would be able to fry bacon.
If everybody was naked, nobody would be able to fry bacon.
Why do people keep thinking I'm saying EVERYBODY GET RID OF CLOTHES THEY'RE EVIL LET'S ALL BE NAKED? I'm just saying if certain people want to be naked, what's the big deal?
Quote:

THERE WON'T BE ANY BACON!
CERTAIN PEOPLE. Not everyone. XD
At the risk of coming across the wrong way... I never liked bacon anyway. Just... the taste never really settled with me. Dunno why.
This isn't to imply that a lack of bacon wouldn't be an international crisis and/or that I wish that I/the world could be naked; I'm not. I just don't like bacon that much. >_>;
Your satanic dislike for bacon has causes Sally to flash the entire planet. =
Not my problem.
Hey, I've got that issue! Sally gets naked and goes swimming in the Source! Then Elias buggers off in a hurry.
How is it that the entire world being naked means an absence of bacon?
Noone wants grease splattered on their skin.
when did i say anything about the entire world being naked
Your satanic dislike for bacon has causes Sally to flash the entire planet. =
Omgomgomg! I EXPLODED laughing when I read this! XD
I agree with Trimanus. If nudity was comment, it wouldn't be a big deal... If you see something enough, you get "desensitized" to it, at least to a degree.
Which is not to say no one naked would be considered sexy -- after all, it's not like people who wear clothes are never considered sexy. It would be a matter of how good you looked, and your attitude and actions.
...Of course, as has been mentioned, clothing does have its uses. It protects against hot objects and the cold, and from rough surfaces (such as ground tends to be)... Which is why I prefer the idea of clothing being optional, rather than either abolishing it or enforcing its use...
...And as for the bacon thing, wear an apron. I won't call it clothing if you don't.
Hey, didn't Jamie Oliver burn his penis while cooking naked on valentines day?
Quote:
It ruined his day... And night
Or os they said on Have I Got News For You a while a go...
Nudity is perfectly natural in my opinion. But, in my other opinion, i rather like wearing clothes. It keeps me warm and looks cool, also clothes are comfortable. If you wanted to prance around nude in my world, then thats fine with me. just no going to the bathroom in public, or having sex in public...
just no going to the bathroom in public, or having sex in public...
Now that's a completely different subject that I'd rather not discuss.
i wear clothes because impossible cylinder gets cold
._.
In my perfect world, everyone would be naked IF:
1) They weren't a dude.
2) They weren't fat.
3)They weren't Ugly.
4)They weren't old.
5)They weren't kids.
That is all.
Sooo.... in your perfect world, you wouldn't exist?
~Rico
He does have a point though. I sure wouldn't want to see an old person walking down the street with nothing on. All that sagging...
*shudder*

Sure I would. I just wouldn't be naked.
Suddenly the idea of mufty day at school got a whole lot scarier.

I'm going to pretend I know what that means.
After being in Figure Drawing Class for awhile you find that nudity being a bad thing is highly overrated. ^__~ It's required to at least draw somebody naked to see the whole body fuctions and how everything works! Would I walk around naked? Of course not. I love how clothes make our ugly, hairless human bodies become a symbol of how we express ourselves. Would I look down on a person who didn't wear clothes? Probably not, but it would make me uncomfortable as to the reason why they were naked in the first place.

If you'd like hair all over your body you need to a doctor or an organ grinder.
