Medicine, when used properly, is often beneficial and sometimes a necessity.
Pornography, no matter how it is used, serves no purpose other than being something from which to derive sexual gratification, which is equally as easily done with a clever imagination. Pornography, therefore, is highly unnecessary. There is no logical justification (that's justification, not reason) for it's existence when you think about it.
And this is without even delving into whether or not it is morally questionable.
Thus, I still do not see how they are comparable.
That was my point. And I didn't think the moral stand point of porn was what we were discussing. If thats the case then yes by all means its nasty. 
If we're discussing whether it "hurts" people or not, then no it doesn't hurt people anymore than irresponsible parents like Astrid's.

No, besides these days if you walk into a newsagents and look up at the top shelf it's all men and womens magazines.

The womens magazines have not naked, but often skimpy, women who are all uniformly beautifull...
You dont even have to buy the magazine, its all there in the shop on display. I've watched kids enter shops and it's amazing how most just blank out the top shelf, but SOME gaze up at it longingly before moving on.

Porn = icky. Hentai = slightly less icky. Ecchi = pretty. To me, there's a definite difference between crude sex pics and art. The human body is a beautiful thang, so I don't see any problem with nudity in art. Now, when it's a badly drawn penetration of the ass from Beast Boy to Starfire, that's just gross.
If you're wondering about that last sentence, I was searching Kazaa for Teen Titans and saw the title "Beast Boy Starfire assf***. Couldn't resist. XD Got a good laugh out of it. Betcha some ten-year-old boy scribbled it in MS Paint.

I find hentai almost as disgusting as porno...but that's just me. Course when I see boy on boy action or girl on girl action, I click away ASAP...and let's not even speak of furry hentai...ack.
I've never actually seen any real yaoi/yuri hentai. I ran into a hentai pic of Renamon once, though. XP That pic wasn't even attractive. It was like, "look at my sexual organs!"
