This is probably the most hot-button issue at the moment; the War in Iraq.

Was President Bush right to engage in battle with Saddam? Was America in the wrong for going without UN approval (let me just say this real quick: Resolution 1441)? Should the troops have left by now? Was it to move primary focus away from Osama to Iraq? Has the media been portraying the country in an unbiased light? Were the elections momumentous occasions or ultimately futile? Did President Bush 'lie' for saying that Saddam possessed WMDs (as the intelligence indicated)? Is Bush somehow equal to Hitler for pursuing a war in Iraq? Which country (Iran, Syria, etcetera) would come next in the WOT? Basically, any question you can think of.

Be civil.

Edit: Oh, and don't forget the Patriot Act and wiretapping (a policy that's a direct result of the WOT).

Edit 2: On second thought, this'll just be a topic about the WOT in general.

No one is equal to Hitler.

You know we've had full "UN support" since 2004. This isn't an "illegal war".

Nobody likes war, and the real question that is being asked is this. Is the cost product worth the cost?

This isn't blood for oil. Oil for food ensured that the oil flowed pretty good.

This is blood for peace. The hope is that a democratic Iraq will revolutionize Middle East politics and introduce the concept of seperation of church and state.

Vietnam was blood for freedom. Not our freedom but for the Vietnamese citizens. The cost of the ethnic cleansing that followed the US withdrawl was very high.

So is the product worth the cost? To most of us, yes. To Cindy Sheehan, no.

No, it really isn't.

What the hell does that have to do with Iraq, other than it being a sh*tty Bush policy?

I suppose you could say it's related to the WOT.

You'd be surprised (or not) how many people I meet that say otherwise.

What if I don't believe that the War on Terror and the War in Iraq are synonomous? I support the War on Terror, not necessarily the War in Iraq.

You use the words interchangably in the original post.
