Oh em gee you guys, you should all be ashamed of yourself. Since you've chased Craig away, no-one's taken it upon themselves to organise the meet-up this year! I know it's short notice, but most people don't know if they're coming for definite until quite close to the event anyway so hopefully it should still work.
Plans will be the same as they usually are. We hijack Comic Expo, Bristol, for our own nefarious purposes, which mainly consist of sitting on the floor talking and occasionally moving to eat or buy/look at paraphernalia, memorabilia and other things ending in -lia.
The event is held simultaneously at the British Empire Commonwealth and Exhibition Hall, which is literally right next to Bristol Temple Meads train station, and the Ramada Plaza Hotel, which is like right across the road. The convention will take place on Saturday 13th May 10am - 6pm and Sunday 14th May 10.30am - 5pm. Tickets are 6/day for the adults and 1/day for the kiddiwinkles (11-16; under 10s free).
Transport and accomodation will be down to you guys.
So, with all that out of the way, who's going (I will be if enough people are also, don't know which days yet) and on what days?

EDIT: Apparently, you get in free if you come in costume as well.

i think my lounge floor is fully booked now. 
please remeber that it takes a bus AND a train to get from bristol to my parent's place (although my dad is usually happy to take people to train stations in the 8-seater. 😛 ) so monies is needed for trains.
my parents trust my word now that noone is going to mug the family and make off with the TV. i've met most of you over the previous meet ups and none of you have so far metamophasied into a 40 year old perv. ;p
this year i'll make sure to kick you all from your sleeping bags earlier in the morning!

sadly my only finished cosplay is just my aikido outfit with an added hakama.. so noone'd regonise me as any character.
Never frown on free entry, Becca. If you can get away with it, do it. Chris is getting in wearing a piece of every Wolf's Rain character's clothing, his fox tails and a lightsaber.
Only drawback is we may get curfed into the cosplay parade mandatory. I like being on show, but can see that being a problem for some.
oh, i'm not frowning on it at all.. anything free is brilliant when you're on a tight budget. 😛

Well i'm at the age where I can choose to go out of my own free will, but due to booking time off work to go see Roger Waters, i only have 1 more day left to play with until next April...so this year is again no for me sadly.
On the other hand i'm going to the London Expo on the 27th May as a pre-21st birthday thing. (My b-day is on the 29th) Any MoFo'ers going there?

Don't worry Thunder, if it's anything like last year loads of photos will be taken. I know I'm definitely bringing a camera, since my sister really wants to go but can't so she'll make me take lots of photos to make up for it.
You knew I had no social life back then. Things haven't changed. I have one friend who I didn't meet on this forum or at least from a meet-up of forummers.

Update on things down in London. SilverShadow and Sparky have both come and gone, should be boarding a bus to Bristol right about now.
Craig and CJ both get in via train about 8-9 and inside sources say that Becca is picking up Eva when Bryan and Ian get there.
Gareth and Richard are arriving 3pm on Saturday and staying overnight.
Sounds like we've got a very very good turnout this year.
Currently packing up my stuff for the event, Tails Doll is returning of course. Bringing my DS with Sonic Rush and Mario Kart for everyone to try out and enjoy.

Interesting, people who met on an online Sonic fan site are meeting up in person. I don't really know what the Expo is about, but it is a kinda neat idea to use that place as a gathering for Sonic HQ members,
I wonder if we could find some sort of opportunity to do that in northeastern North America? Well, I wouldn't really want to travel far just to meet members of a Sonic fan site in person, even with how curious I am to see what it'd be like. Though I guess if timing was good for it I'd probably visit (as in, hypothetically, if some group I was with happened to be planning a trip to some place, they weren't sure which one and a meetup was in a certain place then I'd probably suggest that one and mention other reasons)

Just so you guys know, I'll only be attending on the Sunday. I've got exams coming up and the STEP happens to be bloody hard, so I'm taking time out on Saturday for revision purposes. It's a shame, because I'd really like to go both days this year. 🙁
