At first I thought you were going to say Battlefield Earth.

And does anyone remember the cartoon version where they Chipmunks and the Chipettes stared? I kind of liked that movie...

The one with the dolls and the world-crossing hot air balloon race? Yeah, I loved that one as a kid. Can't say if the nostalgia goggles will fall off if I'd watch it today.

I liked the first Alvin and the 'munks. I was surprised to have enjoyed it so much to be honest. I'm sure this won't be anything wonderful, but it might be tolerable. Come on guys...right?

No. That opinion is not pessimistic enough to be agreed with.

The one about the world balloon race was called The Chipmunk Adventure or something like that. In fact I'm going to watch it right now via Youtube just to see if I'm being biased with my nostalgia goggles....or if this movie really is a lot better than the recent live action one.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v7KyjM5tp74

and for a giggle or two the (real voice) version http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n2Qs4Z_pJVs they sound demon possessed but that's just because of the software/hardware used to unsqueakify their voices. And of course! They all sound like Dave!...well no. Theodor sounds like a woman.

'Cause we're the boys of rock an' roll! 'cause we're the girls of rock an' roll!!!!

Darn you, now you've gone an' done it getting the evil song stuck in my head. I used to like The Chipmunk Adventure a lot back in the day.

Meh, I'll watch the movie when it comes out but I don't have hope it'll be amazing as the first one wasn't really...

I didn't think anything could look scarier then the Chipmunks, but there's the Chipettes. My soul has been taken.

That's because if I remember correctly, Theodore was voiced by Ross Bagdasarin Jr.'s wife (Ross did the voices for the others).

EDIT: Janice Karman is her name.

And in the Live Action movie, they were all voiced by totally unrecognizable teen celebrities. XD

hah really...why? As if even the most devoted of teeney bopperers could decipher which teen celeb was doing which voice after its been all squeakified and distorted. They'd have to read the credits to find out!
Well I checked the IMDB. I don't recognize the names except Jesse McCartney

Anyway..... 80's sparkles! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vTA5Fa-8ZJQ

Why do the females look like clones of the males? They're just the chipmunks with a sex change and more hair. o.o; please don't tell me each boy chipmunk falls in love with his female clone?

Let's be honest. The Chipettes where basically the Chipmunks in drag.

If anybody wants me I'll be watching the old cartoon and pretending this dosn't exist.

Well no, that's a lie, I don't have the badwidth for that.

yeah the chipettes being clones of the chipmunks is in no way surprising. Its just that those 3D models irk me. I think its the extra hair on their head. I mean if they had to use 3D models couldn't they have been more cartoony?

I would like to point out that there still has not been a Serenity sequel. This proves that Fox is dedicated to evil.

I liked the 80's Chipmunk Adventure too. I hated most of the music, other than Wooly Bully which was catchy and had a lot of action going on in the scene, but liked the adventure part. Even then I found the snake scene to be creepy and the girls/guys of rock n' roll to be obnoxious.

xD! "Hell yea...dem gurls got their hair did down at Smokey's. Saw 'em in there yesterday." >>

But I think Veckums is on to something. Fox is dedicated to evil. 😛

If the Chipettes looks like that, I wonder what Miss Miller (the girls's guardian) will look like? Megan Fox-like maybe ?
