So, Christmas is almost upon us, so I ask, do you buy gifts for others and if so whom? I usually get my mom, dad, sister, granny, and uncle (mom's brother) something for Christmas, but this year I'm not sure if I'll get something for my unc and grandma. I and my mom got dad a drill together, I got my sister a pair of pj pants with the Playboy Penguin on it (my sister loves penguins), and I don't know what I'm gonna get my mom and she wants me to surprise her.

i only have enough money for one person..
i'll give my friend who lost his job, he needs it the most. he's very picky so i'll give him gift cards.

as for my family, they'll have to suffer listening to my awful singing as a gift
i don't expect any gifts after that.

I am of course buying gifts for my family, that's a given, as for my close friends, I'm getting them the same thing I get them every year.

I'm getting them pissed =D

Hm... I got my brother an MST3K DVD set w/ 4 movies. I probably wouldn't have bothered but it came with a little Tom Servo figurine. So you see, I had no choice.

I spent anywhere from 5 bucks to 250 bucks depending on what I think of people. 5 being the asshole cousin who continually shows me how great a parent my mother was by being a *#%%+@ parent himself (last time I wandered through there his kids homework was sitting undone and he was helping him with his religious 'homework'; man wtf?). 50-75 being the favorite younger cousins and uncles (top prizes being the 50 bucks to red lobster plus babysitting for the use of it for the uncle. And a 45 dollar Batman belt buckle and small shopping trip to the mall for the younger cousin). 100-150 being the people that put up with me through the "little toby/rico" phases. 250 being my mother, trust me, that pile is pretty large (three layer self watering pot set, gardening tools, penguin merchandise, etc). That figure seems to keep going yearler as I see how other parents treat their kids, like the 5 dollar guy.

Oh and people that don't interact with me at all don't get poop. Or they MIGHT get poop, but my distributor will never tell.

My wife got something.

My mom in-law got something. As for my mom and dad and my bro, unfortunately the distance makes it really hard to get them anything, especially with my constant-working nature, but I did get them a Christmas card... which I forgot to mail out in time x__x

I wanted to get my bro either CoD:MW2 or Rock Band 2, and my parents... they're so hard to get things for I honestly have no idea what I'd get them.

Every year, same story. 😛

Not too much. I got my mom that Susan Boyle CD, but other than that nothing. Being the poor college student sucks =(

That said, I have been helping my parents and others find deals on stuff. Got my sister a copy of Mario & Luigi 3 for ~$20, my brother Pokemon Platinum for ~$15.

Pfft I'm so broke I can't even get a gift for myself. The best I did was put a 5 in the Salvation Army collection pot
