Spice Girls announce reunion tour

The Spice Girls wannabe stars again.
Following a calculated publicity buildup, the original Girl Power group of the 1990s announced Thursday that they have agreed to reunite for six concerts around the world their first since breaking up in 2001.
Talk of a reunion had swirled for weeks boosted by Sporty Spice herself.
Victoria (Adams) Beckham (Posh Spice), Melanie Chisholm (Sporty Spice), Geri Halliwell (Ginger Spice), Emma Bunton (Baby Spice) and Melanie Brown (Scary Spice) formed the Spice Girls in 1994. They became a global hit.
Chisholm, who had opposed a reunion, recently told the British Broadcasting Corp. she had changed her mind.
"For the first time ever, there is some truth in the rumors. We've been discussing it and it could possibly happen," the 33-year-old singer told BBC radio.
"I've always said, `I don't want to do it, the past is the past. It was amazing, it was magical. We could never recreate it,'" Chisholm said. "But this year people have been talking about it and some of the girls have expressed an interest in doing it."
The Spice Girls' 2000 album, "Forever," had weak sales, and they began concentrating on their solo careers.
*watches the Four Horsemen scream and run away at the news*
Yup. That's what I said.
Comments?
Is this "reunion with Geri" or "reunion without Geri"?
6 concerts which none of us will go to is hardly cause for concern. I've barely heard anything from Police and Genesis since their reunion as they've been too busy touring.
It's when the word "album" is mentioned that you have to start panicking.
I thought I killed them already D:
Is it safe to stay in my house please?
The Popocalypse has begun...
Awesome! This is fantastic news.
Ew.
>> Im down for it. I miss the Spicetasticness of it ::Hugs his copy of Spice World::
Okay, I got the pitchforks. Who brought the hot tar?
I admit to being in the past a Spice Girl fan (I was an 11 year old preteen, can you blame me?), though not a huge one, I enjoyed their music (and admit, still do because they're scarily catchy). Still, I've outgrew them years ago and don't care lickety split now.
I couldn't even name a song they preformed...
I usually curse my apparently sheltered life, but I think this helps make it a little better =)
Well this will help prepare us for the annoyance that is...uh...okay who is Beckham's wife again?
From what I know, it's "with Geri".
** slightly excited **
WTF
Oh yes, I have the hot tar. =D
It could be worse. Even with Geri, at least I haven't seen any signs of any new material or it being anything more than a money-grubbing nostalgia trip of very limited time period yet.
That S Club 7 reunion can't be far off now *crosses fingers*
There is hope!
Apparently, they're bickering and arguing already. Heehee.
*plonks down a bet that they don't even finish the tour before splitting up again*
