Greetings and salutations, folks!
For those of you who haven't heard, Auchinawa is on again this year. What's that when it's at home? Well, it's one of the biggest UK-held anime conventions, and this year will be the third time it's been held. Boasting a much larger venue than last year, Auchinawa will be taking place in November up here in bonny Scotland, at the Edinburgh Grosvenor Hotel, near Haymarket.
Why am I telling you this now?
Well, registration opened half an hour ago (at time of writing), and a lot of people are gonna want to snatch up the tickets - and there're only 500 to spare! I have in fact already registered - a ticket for the event is a slightly hefty £45 - but, that covers entrance to the convention for the whole three days.
I'm gonna be going - I've already signed up, and will be parting with some pennies next week (sigh).
There're at least two other UK MoFoers going that I know of. Oh, and my house is about an hour's journey from Edinburgh by bus or train, and it's fairly inexpensive travel, so I may well be able to accommodate people. I know the hotel's also putting on a special rate for con-goers as well, so do take a peek!
And by all means poke me if you intend to come, I'd love to see you there! 8D
*shrug*
I'll be heading for Bristol as usual (tickets're still on sale for that, BTW - I was going to post a thread about it, since nobody else has), but I'll see what money I've got left after that.
Apparently Auchi's proving massively popular - 300 places were booked in the first night o_O
UPDATE: Auchinawa's now officially sold out, after only 5 days and 19 minutes after ticket sales going live. If you didn't nab a ticket then you've probably missed your chance, though there's a waiting list in case of cancellations.
