like my cartoon thread, this is for Movies and series.. old or new, westren or other.
list the movies or tv series you think are the best, write their title and add a video trailer or poster cover picture, and under it write a summary of the story.

1- what dreams may come http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tHSw2PeBqyM
it's about two parents deeply in love losing their two children, and after finally dealing with the tragedy and moving on. the father dies .. the story than sets place in heaven where the father searches for his children. its a tragic romantic drama. even if you don't believe in the after life, it's still a beautiful movie worth watching its more about human feelings.

2- mario brothers movie http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wtMZKYnLg5c
although hated by most, i found it to be one of the best. i guess cause it doesn't look like the video game people reject it. but it is well made, it's funny and enteraining. and i love the idea of deminsions and other clever things put in this movie. so the story: ludgi falls in love with daisy who gets kidnapped in an excavation site by two goons, using the rock she used to wear as a necklace the two were able to get into a magical wall that led to a futuristic world with human dinosaurse ruled by king koba. the mario brothers lose the rock and get captured by koba's police.. so they need to escape from captavity save daisy who turns out to be the princess and find the stone that koba needs to invade the human world.

oh my..... no one likes this type of topic. i really wanted to get loads of movie reviews, it's wonderful knowing other's opinions....
and turtle guy, glad you like the super mario movie too it was mega funny
espacially the part when Luigi says
"we gotta deal with aliens too?" then mario says "Luigi, WE ARE THE ALIENS!" ... "Really? cool!"

okay another awsome movie is
My fair lady http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EAYUuspQ6BY&feature=related
before you go "oh i seen this"... know that this is the best version of the story from the BBC edition. although the ending wasn't faithful to the book everything else was perfect and well preformed.

We actually had a movie topic Craigey made a year or so ago. But for me...The first Ninja Turtles movie. Oh my gosh...it was so so good. Nothing extremely special about it...but as a diehard TMNT fan...it was wonderful. The second one I thought was very good as well[up until a few years ago...I liked it more actually] and the third...in its own right works.

P.S. I too enjoyed the Super Mario Movie. Context/Setting was abit "WTF Mate", but it had some good lines, like the one you mentioned, sonicsfan1991.

i'm so glad you like the same shows i do hyper i can really connect with you..... if your the same person i keep talking to about everything... you are the only hypersonic out there right?

(We actually had a movie topic Craigey made a year or so ago)

oh did he? i didn't find one.... i think i searched where is craig anyway, i want to read his next fanfiction entry if he doesn't write it soon, i'm gonna eat him!

talking about ediable things, the next movie of my choice is:

Good Burger http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A8WOecF6P5A
a kid who breaks his mom's and teacher's cars takes a summer job to pay the bills, in his summer job he meets the airhead Edd who wants to befriend him and gets stuck with him. but they face the danger of losing their jobs to the competion of another burger joint "mondo burger", the two go to investigate the secrets of mondo burger ... it's a full out comedy, with a bit of romance. i watched this so many times, i still don't mind watching it a 100 times again.. it's just that good although i strongly suggest you watch this show while eating a burger or you'll go crazy hungry watching the yummy burgers in the movie.

Hahhaa yea man...I mean similarity is usually pretty cool. And yes...i'm the only HyperSonic[which reminds me...where did HSW run off too?]. But yea...Craig's was abit different from this one, but i'm not sure where it went. It's not here so this is a good one to use. Hahaha! Good Burger...that movie is ridiculous. I love that movie too. Let's see...what're some more...

The "Comics/Graphic Novels to Film" Films are like...my favorites. Spidey, X-Men, Fantastic Four Watchmen, Batman...loving 'em. Doesn't look like they'll ever end either.

Gotta give some love to both of the Star Wars trilogies as well as both of the Harold & Kumar movies!

Yeah man, I totally agree with you. Especially with the Marvel movies. Most 'video game to movie' movies suck, but the Super Mario movie was alright though I guess. Anyway, lookin' forward to the Iron Man 2, Thor and Avengers movies. Gonna be tight as hell, son!

I love the first one a lot. It's mostly because of my exposure to TMNT. I was born in 1990 and thus pretty much missed the old TMNT show, even though I was familiar with them through pop culture because the turtle was my favorite animal (Shocker, huh?).

However, in 2003, I made sure to watch the new TMNT series. And I loved it. I loved the characters and the darker tone and the plot and everything about it. I remember when Leo cut Shredder's head off (!) and being so pleasantly surprised they allowed that level of violence in a kid's show. And then when he stood up and the end and picked up his head, I guessed, halfheartedly, that he must be an alien like Krang was, with his brain in his stomach. And, later, in the Utram arc, I learned I was right. That was an awesome feeling.

So four or five years ago, I acquire a used VHS of the first TMNT movie from a discount movie pile. I was blown away at how similar it was to the new cartoon. Seeing Casey Jones in the flesh was great, and those turtle suits! Just...damn! Later I'd learn that both held closer to the original comic's storyline.

I never have seen either of the other movies all the way through. I liked what I saw of II, and III, despite being certifiably Horribu****us, I found it a little amusing.

Turtle Power. ^^

Yea dude...when the 2003 TMNT series began I was excited to see the turtles back, but I missed alot of the series, unfortunately. =/ Good call on Shredder being an alien. Haha! But yea dude...the turtles suits...absolutely amazing, weren't they? Hahaha! II is basically a comedy...the plot is lacking, action is minimal, but there are some really funny moments in it. III...well it does have the turtles[in completely different suits albeit] so if you can find it for like under 5 dollars, get it. lol I'm hoping to acquire all those TMNT 80s cartoon Dvds, they've like released nearly all of the episodes.

if you had the VHS of the 3rd movie you can see the 4 turtles live concert preformance <i think it was in Cali?> i really forgot .... here's the show http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y9eKwFp729I

series:
Babylon http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HgtL8bZp4k k" href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HgtL8bZp4kk">5 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HgtL8bZp4kk
the space station adventure, it's mostly a political space adventure. it's set in the far future after earth's war with an alien race that nearly destroyed them, Earth decided to make a space colony "the Babylon" where embassadors of earth and other races join together in trade and aliance... the first 4 babylons got destroyed so the show is about the last one ship "Babylon 5". the lead in the story are the commander of the ship and his chief crew who try to maintain peace and protect the people on the ship. in my opinion it's the best space adventure show i seen, it has a very interesting idea, if star trek didn't have klingons i'd choose this over it easy.

i saw it at the end of the credits of TMNT 3, first you see an interview then a live performance songs.

in the interview they were all angery saying "we want to be noticed" and crap like that, it was so funny cause it was serious. here's some of the interview, although i remember seeing all of them, but i could only find the one with leo... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZDJC-JTd3JM

i had to revive this thread, its been so long since i found movies that made me scream out "AWSOME!" but dont fear oddly enough there are a few but i have no idea why they have such poor advertisment. and i do mean awsome movies, think as powerful as terminater was when you saw it awsome.

District 9
what if aliens wanted to live with humans? the question was answered very nicely in this movie like no other, when you first see the movie it looks like a documentry. but you will love it soon enough when you see where the events are going. the only thing you need to remember watching it is as scary as some scenes are and incredibly disturbing as they are, you need to watch it to the end its one of those movies that wont leave your head.

Pandorum
the perfect space horror, although our generation might not get too scared from it, its still an interesting story to watch, it has a very strong plot and super finish as well as dirstrict 9. the ship, is wonderfully designed the begining was a masterpiece, i love space movies and pandorum takes the top. its a survival story more or less with a wonderful space colony setting.

Moon
the story of a single moonbase inhabiter, i havent watched this movie yet and didnt want to ruin it for myself watching the full trailer cause i can tell its gonna be one of the best movies. i'm not sure of the plot but i imagine its either space maddness or horror either one will be perfect. the quality of the film seemed promising. it does remind me of aliens 1 because of the super computer talking to the main character also the inner design of the moonbase is all white and padded just like in alien 1.

now for the best news....

Predators
yes a full movie just for the predators, the story is humans on a planet being hunted by a number of predators what could be awsomer? its kinda like the first predator movie but with more predators and more places for the humans to hide in XD

okay that's the newest movies that i found top list, you wont regret watching a single one of them. i'm so happy there's so many cool movies out there now

My top 2 favourite movies of all time are Casino Royale (the new one) and Rush Hour 2. Nothing beats those two movies for me.

As far as TV series go, I love watching travel adventure shows like Departures and Destination Truth, and I can't get enough Law and Order.
