Apparently from cardiac arrest, but there's no word on what caused it - although the UK's arm of Fox is saying that she was known to suffer from a heart murmur.

I'm discounting the tabloid rumours of cocaine and eating disorders (Perez Hilton's already been to this what Jack Nicholson was to Heath Ledger, going on about how this won't surprise those who knew her and they saw it coming) until there're some solid medical facts on the table.
