Seems to be like another recycled movie from Blue Sky's, Robots.
Discussion time.
Edit: Thanks, Albino Rapper for the error.
Claiming it is recycled is like saying A Shark's Tale and Finding Nemo are the same... (The only 'wow... these are really similar' movies were Madagascar and The Wild).
This is one of the original movies they planned back in 94. Bug's Life, Monster's Inc, Finding Nemo, and Wall*E.
As with any Pixar movie, I am excited. They have yet to let me down. They are truly in a league of their own, so far off that the other studio's best works look like crap compared to Pixar's worst.
Also, it is very difficult to judge their movies based on the first trailer. Since A Bug's Life, these 'pretrailers' feature the main characters, but have nothing to do with the actual story.
I'm still waiting for my Toy Story 3.

I dunno, Shrek vs. Cars is a pretty clear victory for the guys who aren't Pixar.
Hmmm...i'll admit Shrek, when compared Cars, is not crap but a clear victory...that's tough.

Except this is by Pixar, therefore it'll be good or above average. Robots was ridiculously bad (what with the stereotypical plot, flash over substance, and one-dimensional characters).
Eh, this hasn't shown enough to entice me.
Hey wait, isn't Dreamworks also owned by Disney as well?
No, they're really, really not.
Dreamworks have a very, very disgruntled former Disney executive on the board. Why else do you think the first Shrek film kept putting the boot into the Empire of the Mouse quite so firmly?
Robots was made by Blue Sky, not Dreamworks. They also did Ice Age.
all's i remember about robots is that when my friend rented out Garfield for his niece, they had almost a half hour long trailer about it. it didn't look interesting, and we really didn't want to watch it after seeing the trailer.
but this movie doesn't look that interesting granted they didn't show anything about it.
Is it just me, or does that robot bear more than a passing resemblance to Number Five from Short Circuit?
Definitely does resemble Johnny Five a little.
Also reminds me of one of the robots from Disney's "The Black Hole" for some reason. Must be the eyes. O.o
It reminds me of ROB and I have no idea why!
exactly @ wonderbraut

Notice the similarities. :O
It's all in the eyes.
This looks kinda meh to me, personally.
Dude, how can you judge a movie on a 10 second clip?
Hell I thought both Transformers and Live Free or Die Hard were going to suck by watching the trailers. I was sooooorely mistaken though.
