Oh, awesome, congrats, Sagey. Wow, now we got two famous authors here on the MoFo; the other being Ian, of course.

<huge hug> congrats sweety, i'm so happy for you dear, as one of the people who read your story i can honestly say its a very interesting clever well writting story i did enjoy reading it very much. you keep up with the events and dont lose track of the plots, and it had a lot of surprieses and i enjoyed the characters Jane interacts with, espacially adam <drools> its a smart story    its fun for both genders but i felt it was very special for a girl reader, it plays with our woman fantasies.

oh and i loved both the beginning and end, in stories those have to be the best and you did very well. i totally vouch for your story's entertaining reading dear.
and i do look forward to your next nano novel as well.

(Sage Edit: **removed MASSIVE SPOILER >>;**)

If the blurb on the back is any indication, then you beat me to adapting MFW stuff to a publishable medium. 😛 How devilishly clever of you!  Congratulations.

"Senga" City, what a hoot.

So are you publishing only through Amazon.com?  I need some info on this myself if possible since I'm aiming to publish/get published myself.

Sage has gone through CreateSpace - they very kindly offered a free proof copy of the finished novel to all participants of NaNoWriMo 2009 who finished their 50,000 words on time.

Incidentally, add my name to the list of folk who'll be published. Be on the lookout for Beyond The Sky some time soon. I'm just ironing out a few things here and there before I submit the revised material for a proof :3 Once I approve that, mine'll be on sale too. ^^

...well, once I also fill out forms to ensure I don't get taxed by the US and the UK. ;p

Thanks, you guys! It makes me happy to see my enthusiasm is matched and in some ways surpassed ^___^ To address a few specific things:

Jin - A bunch of us wrote novels for NaNoWriMo this year and as Bryan said, anyone who wrote more than 50,000 words received an offer for a free proof copy of our novel from CreateSpace, a self-publishing company. I was content to leave it at that, but the encouragement of a coworker had me going all the way and getting it fully published. I plan to keep up the tradition every year now, whether or not they still offer free copies. ^_^ Since this book (and the others I plan to write) are based on Craig's and my RP universe, we've already got all the ideas, history, etc. and it's just a matter of taking those scripts and turning them into something readable.

Srol - I don't know if I can post a Kindle version, but if I can, I'll definitely go for it ^^

Terg - I would TOTALLY RECOMMEND CREATESPACE. You retain all rights to your work, as CreateSpace only does the printing and shipping. You don't have to deal with publisher drama and as long as you can do your own editing (or have your own editor), cover design, and advertising, you're good as gold. ^^ If you're going for the free version (which I am), it's only being distributed through Amazon.com and CreateSpace. If you want to go with the pro version (which I might go for when I get the money), it's just shy of $40, but you get more money per copy and can distribute it to more places. I don't know if it's $40 a month, or a one-time fee, I haven't looked too deeply into it. But you should totally give it a shot 😀

Also, lol I know right? @ "Senga City"

Hah - the funny thing is, I've been planning on taking advantage of that exact same offer.  It was only recommended to me a couple of months ago by a relative; and here and there I'm hearing of more people using it.  I'm glad all of the reports I'm hearing so far is that it is a good service.  I'll look into that $40 fee; it may be worth an investment.

I may very well be signing up for next NaNoWriMo.  I didn't realize it was an official event with prizes, I just thought it was some crazy self-motivated event someone had started.  Not that I need prizes to motivate me...no wait yes I do.

Although I'll have to read your book now so I know what all you put into it.  I'm not planning on writing anything too close to the MFW to publish, but it wouldn't hurt to know what you adapted so I don't look like a copycat later if I do write something related.

Maybe if I call it "Segas City" I'll be able to pull it off...

It's a city where fictional characters live. I wouldn't press charges and I would definitely read anything you write 8D

As for NaNoWriMo, they started the offer two years ago and I'm sure CreateSpace are willing to do it because of others like me who decide to just take that next step and just go for publishing. They make money and we put our stuff out there. It's a win-win scenario in their eyes.

Whoa, that sounds really (emphasis on really) interesting. If they continue to do this, I really need to give the NaNoWriMo a shot.

It's just that finishing a story part that eludes me lol

I'm with Tigger, I think I might try adapting one of my comic book ideas for NaNoWriMo. Should I go with serious or funny though?

Congratulations! I'm not surprised that you published it.

The title is a big winner. Just go around promoting Confessions Of A Combat Waitress and people will be curious and want to know what it is.
