On a related note, here's another related story of sorts, with grad students building an electricity-generating merry-go-round for a Ghana school.
Now think of how much energy could be generated if we hooked up playground equipment so that it could generate electricity! I'm wondering if there's a way we could do that worldwide.
That's really cool. If there was just a way for solar energy to get enough energy through daylight and be able to store enough excess to use at night, that would be great.
