wow it's finally done.
there was a news coverage about NASA making a commercial spaceship, for people to tour space a few months ago. and now the images of the commercial spaceship is here
and here's a quick article http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/us_space_tourism
200K for a ticket to the stars, i am so gonna save up money for it. i'm glad that the price is this cheap
Woah I'm scared enough of heights as is! D8
Also I could only afford that if I saved up for 20 years without spending a penny so woah extortianate
Actually a bit less what with the exchange rate and all
yeah it's gonna take forever to gather it, but at least it's not impossible.
the estimate was in millions, so this is a good turn out. and i'm sure the price will get lower ten years from now so it's all cool.
Branson has boasted his intent to do this for years and years, it's almost surreal to see the idea finally reaching fruition. Though it sounds almost like a space version of the London Eye and the fact that the trip is 2.5 hours sounds disappointing, the experience must be worth it. I'd consider it a trip to the satellites more than a trip to the stars.
Good on Mr. Branson, I hope that the endevour is profitable and the fuel is not uber expensive.
Just to clarify: this is a private enterprise using some of NASA's research tech. NASA isn't running it - Branson wants to launch more people than they do.
I'm-a get me one of these damn spaceships and check out the Andromeda galaxy with it. <3

yeah, you wont get far. the original idea was a lot more cooler, but because of the cost of fuel they cut it short.. which is okay, i really dont want to have to use the bathroom in space
also if it was a longer flight the price would be unimaginable high.
and really, just to look down at earth, seeing it shrink and feeling the rush.... that's ultimate. i want to see something great like that. it's probably 10 times greater than any earth beauty we ever seen. and the whole ride it's self is a fantasy.

and here comes the question, who'll go first to test its safety? i really hope everything goes well, the ship's design is new.
but over all this is a wonderful chance and a step forward.
and here comes the question, who'll go first to test its safety?
Let's do calculations: in 2 years I will enter med school, 4 more years I hope to be done and have loans of 41K per year so with the money I will invest in med school I could potentially take an almost 3 hour tour to Gilligan's isle I mean space.
By the time I make enough money to pay my school debts I will be so old I will qualify for senior citizen discounts. Hopefully in about 10 years the ticket prices will go down. Although, history had taught me that prices always go up!
I'm doing Antarctica before space but that 2.5 hours ride still would be wonderful!
and here comes the question, who'll go first to test its safety?
hope they'll be supervised.
