Futurama is back for 26 more episodes. http://i.gizmodo.com/5285...r-26-more-episodes Yaaay!
Yup, heard this yesterday. Awesome news. Definitely one of the better cartoon shows that didn't deserve to be canceled. Would much rather have this than something like American Dad. Great news.
This news makes me happy.
Finally, a reason to watch Comedy Central again.
I definitely enjoy watching the show, although I haven't watched an entire season yet. Decently funny, so color me excited.
So does Fox just cancel really good shows? Or only ones that start with 'F'? I count Futurama, Family Guy, and Firefly 8O. If they ever bring back Firefly... I could die a happy man (oh hey Arrested Development breaks the pattern D: )
Well, Firefly is kinda still around. Joss Whedon made the Serenity movie and there's a couple comics Joss wrote.
I heard Futurama was canceled because the Network felt it was stealing the thunder away from the Simpsons.
But wasn't it made by the same people??

You mean when it wasn't preempted by baseball or shuffled around the Sunday night schedule randomly?
Heh yeah. But I started to actually watch Futurama after it went into Syndication (if i'm using that word right)
And yes its made by the Simpson's people. But I was talking about Network Executives possibly being mettlesome.
If Fox is worried about things overshadowing the Simpsons why is Family Guy still on.
So I'm the only one not visibly excited? Now I love Futurama, adore the hell out of it and have nearly all the DVD collections. I can't say for sure if the lackluster movies beyond the excellent first is merely because Futurama is best in a 22-minute format, but holy hell, the show was done. Fans cried for more, we got four movies out of it. And now they wanna do more?
*sigh* I hope Groening and the others can prove me wrong because I'm not really anticipating a potentially unnecessary revival.
^ Apparently Cohen was never *done* with Futurama, he believes there's still a lot that can be done with the series.

Perhaps they learnt to stop worrying and love the bomb.

Apparently so. If I remember, the idea of Mom's youngest son being Farnsworth's biological child was something that was held on for years. That stated, that doesn't necessary mean I wanna see it back up.
well I for one am very happy because I liked this show a lot more than the Simpsons and even like it a bit more than Family Guy.
