I'm in no way close to being the first to cross the time zone. However I wanted to wish everyone here a Happy New Year 2008. May this upcoming year be twice as prosperous as the last! As the Chinese in my lab are saying, this year will be better since having the 2 and 8 plus the 00 means "easy rich" or good health as some people believe the 8 stands for rich or health.
I'll be in Times Square, New York seeing the ball drop from inside some club. Believe me, ticket prices are ridiculous but it pays to know the right people. I might not get internet connection again until I get back to Nebraska, so Happy New Year!!!!!!
have fun, I will be at work when the ball drops... oh well. I will just have to make up for it when I get off.

Though I don't drink personally (haven't found a booze I like the taste of), I sat with my friends and played along (with a Mountain dew) in a drinking game during a DVD-induced Avatar marathon.

I watched many a new year celebration on TV with the girl, and I was quite upset that the last song I heard of 2008 was Good Charlotte. =( Oh well. Happy New Year :] I shall resolve to. Erm. Keep doin' what I'm doin'. 😀
A joyous renewed orbital cycle, meatbags!
I spent the night going from one pub, to another, then back to the first again, which was fun. Except when drinking up time came cause my ears were all swollen and numb from the case of the lurgy I just got over, so I couldn't drink fast XD.
Anway, like I declared last night, for the purpose of confusing a highly blonde friend, that we've now entered Galactic Background Radiation Savings Time. So the clocks have been set back a year.

Hope everyone had a good New Years....I spent the day after in bed..lol...I had a very good night of booze!
I was at a friend's house, avoiding offers of alcohol and people trying to get me to play Halo.
It was the sort of neighbourhood where it's safer to invite some friends around than go out.
Stayed home, didn't do anything. Wish I could've been here the night, but the only way I have access to the internet is the local library, *Sigh*

And yes, avoided alchohol. Never want to touch the stuff after looking at my stepdad... *Shudder*
I spent the evening in with my mother - since the rest of the family was either out or working.
I was supposed to go out, but it got cancelled.
At least I wasn't ill though.

I spent new year scoffing pringles and watching TV. We always have a treat for new years, like pringles or popcorn.
Also Dad was on the comp =( If he wasn't then I so would have been on that instead. Don't particularly like watching TV really.
