Your computer messes up, says something like plug and play confugation error, and once you fix the problem, something else is wrong, in my case both CD and DVD drives don't work and your computer says Secordary hard drive 0 not found and to click f1 to contunie.
Has this ever happen to any of you?
And do you all have advice.
And do you think having an Enteral CD/DVD Combo drive is a good idea?
I'm sorry that I can't help, but I have a mac. >.>;
Off the top of my head that sounds like a problem with one or more of your IDE devices - possibly an incorrect master/slave configuration.
However, I'm going to assume that it was working before, so that probably isn't the problem. More likely, it's possible that the cables connecting your hard disks and CD drives to your motherboard have either come loose or have just given up the ghost. In that case, you're going to need to open up your computer and make sure the cables are firmly connected to the drives in question.
If that doesn't fix the problem, then there's a possibility your secondary hard disk (assuming you have on, which seems to be the case going by the error message) has become corrupt, and thus there's a chance everything on it has been lost. That's a worst case scenario though, and I'd recommend getting an expert to look at it if that seems to be the case.
Take the jumpers off cable select?
