I'm getting some weird kind of... spark? in my head? It feels like a mild shock between my ears or temples and I was relaxing and then I read the latest staff drama and it came back like a vengeance. I have no idea what to even search google for. It's hard enough to describe so does anybody have a clue what it could be?

Migraine. You are either:

A. Stressed out
B. Quit something cold turkey, (anything from caffeine to cigarettes can do it)
C. Not getting good sleep on a continuous basis.

And unless you're just bored as hell, you could also be:

D. Trying to get attention, or posting stuff just to post stuff.

If you've been busy as hell lately, I'm going to go with A.

All 3. I just quit a med to switch to natural remedies. Maybe I should try to do it gradually. If it IS just a migraine that would be a great relief, but there is almost no pain involved which I thought was a requirement.

Note that being stressed does not mean I don't want people to IM me. I've barely talked over IM for a few years now and I get the impression that people think I am stressed/busy and can't talk. What's more accurate is that I have a hard time coming up with things to say or talk about, unless I explicitly say I'm too busy to talk.

Hopefully you have seen a doctor to advice you about changing to your natural remedies. In the past when i tried "natural" alternatives i found them to be fail so switched back to normal products

Eh, I'm personally not a fan of natural supplements, but whatev, a good switch is a good switch, I suppose. However, you say you don't feel any sort of pain, but you did say you felt something between your temple and through your eyes or whatev, and that to me sounds like a friggin' migraine.

Trust me, though, that's probably what it is. I just went cold turkey on caffeine - no coke, pepsi, coffee, tea, etc - and my second week, ho my friggin' god, I had a migraine for a straight week. Soon after, I's all good. I'm on my 4th week, caffeine free =D

So good luck to you on that. It's a real B to the itch.

More water, fresh air, and light exercise can only help you. Also, you might want to try less salt intake, if you are a very salty eater. Pain and also death are natural processes that take place in the absence of the things I mentioned.

it's just pink and itchy, and some mornings i wake up with it gummed up a bit.. but nothing as extreme as that photo! o--o; but that explains why i keep feeling like i'm coming down with a cold. it just lasts for a few days, goes, reappears mildly on days i got no sleep, waits a few weeks, then POW! bright pink eye.

it seems to be getting milder as the months go on, but it's kinda annoying even if it's not really effecting me otherwise, it's not like i'm sick or have a headache like poor vec.. how does a tourist see a doctor in canada?

With monies! I know that to see a doctor in the uk on private (instead of nhs) costs about £50
Or you could treat the red eye one of three ways:

1. dig it out with a fork
2. fire
3. gentamicin eye/ear drops 😮

I searched youtube and google to find a video of the intro host segment to MST3K 819 Invasion of the Neptune Men in which Crow and Servo declare war on eyelash mites but there are only torrents.

*laughs*..^^

fire may cure many things, but i'd like to be able to use my eye afterwards. ;p if this was the UK i'd be able to call a doctors at 8am and get an appointment in an empty slot.
but just try to picture how interesting my wedding photos will be with one vivid pink eye.. x__o;

how's your head feeling today, vec?

Migraines are horrible.

Actually was hospitalized overnight for one particularly nasty one when I was younger (hint: slightest twitch = ICEPICK IN THE BRAIN). Not fun.

Glad you're doing better.

Symptoms are too vague for pinpointing any particular disease. Sorry can't be of much help...

How many times a day and can you describe the spark. Does it feel seizure like? Some type of seizures could be like that and you would be fully conscious throughout one. It could also be a million other things.

PS: Greetings from China, where I'm stuck at a conference but I've managed to not go to many of the talks in favor of hanging around the cities.
