tv today keeps canceling a lot of shows, it doesnt have the patients the past networks had. i was shocked at how many shows were canceled this year... i mean come one even the legendary ER had terrible seasons but it pulled through.

its really not giving anyone second chances, i dont get what's the deal.

Read about this earlier this summer, was quite upset about it. It was a good point to stop though, the fifth volume was actually pretty dang good TV in comparison to the awful Vol.3 and average Vol.4.

They want to put together a straight to DVD movie to tie things up. I would not object if this became a reality.

Would have been nice to see a Hero!Sylar though, he was so... weird in the finale.

You mean another Hero!Sylar? @ Craig... Pretty sure he flip-flopped about 20 times during the show's last 3 seasons. I for one am glad they took it out back and put the proverbial shotgun to its head. Volume 4's ending (LET'S MAKE SYLAR BELIEVE HE IS NATHAN WHAT COULD POSSIBLY GO WRONG) pissed me off too much. Rainbow Cello lady's character was pointless and dull. Season 1 was great, Season 2 suffered from the Writer's Strike, and the show never recovered from it. I'm just glad NBC renewed Chuck for a 4th season. Hell, all the shows I care about (Big Bang Theory, How I Met Your Mother, Castle) have actually been increasing in viewers.

That said, I'm excited for what looks like Heroes' replacement: The Cape. Summer Glau >>>>>>>>> Hayden Panettiere. Embedded Trailer after the spoiler

Good riddance. I don't think I've ever seen a show deliver so poorly on it's initial promise ... maybe Lost, but Lost dragged that curve out a lot longer than Heroes did. It became pretty evident early on in season 2 that the writers had no idea where they were going. They covered for this by introducing new characters every other episode and then immediately killing them off. None of the characters seemed able to ever STAY in character, they would develop massive mood swings to do what was necessary to advance whatever massive plot shift this week's episode required.

I gave them a chance past season 2 because that season was shortened by the strike, but season 3 was a crime against television. It should've been cancelled then, but looks like that fate was just delayed a year.

Season 4 was basicly the same episode over and over. Some scenes of the circus people talking and wondering when Sam is finally going to show how evil he is...

I thought Heroes was copying Sailor Moon since its second season had twins, then its next season dealt with the future. Season 4 of sailor moon was about freaks and balloons too. :0 I wanted to see if season 5 of Heroes was about an evil TV studio like Sailor Moon's was.

I stopped watching midway through season 2. Season 1 was spectacular. And what I saw in 2 was good stuff. I definitely wouldn't mind seeing how it all ends though. I don't want to buy that $300 boxset though. And "The Cape"...next fall. Geez! So far away. But Summer is the schick. Most definitely.

And nice parallel there Shifty. And you could almost say the Sailor Scouts were cheerleaders...and Claire...was a cheerleader. O.O! NBC...those punks! =P
