Yeah. So it was 46F (7.7C) on Monday here in Minneapolis. Awesome weather. I had my window down in my car as I drove. Felt like a nice spring day. Could have gone without a jacket... maybe without a sweatshirt.

Not now though. One day... ONE DAMNED DAY. A swing of 56... Right now, it is -10F. Add in the windchill, and you get a whopping -37F. For you Euros, that's -23C... -38C with the wind.

I'll update with tomorrow morning's temps :D

Man, I hear ya. Yesterday it hit 50F, and I'm gonna guess it's hovering at 0 right now. We just discovered that the windows we had installed, well, weren't installed properly, so we've got a hint of a draft downstairs. It's rather uncool.

Yeah, Illinois had some really weird alerts when I checked. Half the state was under tornado watch, the other covered with ice and wintry mixes, with blowing snow here and there and flooding in small areas. Statewide wind advisory. We've got some fun stuff 8D

I'm staying in tomorrow. Morning commute following traffic toward Chicago + ice and blowing snow = NO GOOD. >> Not to mention the wind chill's somewhere in the -22F range.

i know how you feel! i had my jacket off while sledding last night! but now we've had two days in a row off from school due to ice (warm enough to rain, then cold enough to freeze) which is completely unprecedented. like it's never happened before. EVER. our school sucks.

Today's high was 70F. Bleh.

At least tomorrow's high is supposed to be a slightly more reasonable 59F.

And it's supposed to be winter. Meh.

Hey it could be worse...Colorado weather is known for changing within half a day...we were just in the 50's yesterday, now it's 21 with a wind chill easily below zero, with 100 mph gusts in some spots.

Tell me about it. Monday something like 45 or 47. Today 71, with some rain and for real...like 30mph gusts. Tomorrow like 50ish. Craziness!

I didn't. Can I still get a cookie? I did look him up on Wikipedia and didn't get any smarter.

To Hiro0015 though: I wish you could send some of those cold temperatures over to us. In a nice little parcel. Over here it's far too warm for your own good. It's around 5 to 10C, so that's between 40 and 50F. *shudders* Far too warm for January.

To HyperSonic2003: 71F is crazy though!

I guess I missed the alerts about the tornado warnings. We got hit with the snow and have a drift almost on top of the back door. My brother's going to have a fit because he's leaving for work in a few minutes and every car door is frozen solid.

I don't blame anyone for not wanting to drive in this, I've put myself in a ditch twice this season.

*basks in the last few rays of the setting sun*
it's been a bit chillier recently here, but certainly not below freezing during the day. i was informed we might get a bit of snow by the end of the week, but i'm not sure how accurate that is. ^^;

Have you ever gotten "brain freeze" when you eat icecream too fast? Yeah, I get that today just walking outside for 5min =

It is still -8F... and with the high winds, it feels like -25F...

Loving the life in Austin right now. It's been between 65 and 70F and sunny for the past day and should be all week! Time for new clothes!

I think the news said that 7-10 minutes of having your skin exposed at those temperatures === frostbite D:

So no @ THS

I hear you! I was wearing a Tshirt when it hit 50s on Monday. Then Yesterday it was well below zero, with horrible wind blowing at 40 mph. Today is a little better but It's still below 10 F. Good thing I moved close to campus and get to use them tunnels =P

Oh, the weather all over the world is insane. Did anyone hear that it was snowing in Baghdad a couple of weeks ago? They're having major winter storms in China as well.

It was below 0f the first snow day we had this year. I have a habit of, the first snow day of every year, I run outside to the other end of my backyard (a good 10 seconds of running) and back barefoot. It's kind of a tradition.

I hope you didn't freeze any toes off though. I guess it's comparable to running over coals for some desert tribe wise men though. You don't take permanent damage, right?

It's a nice kind of tradition.

(Sorry for the kind of garbled comment.)

ITS THE GLOBAL WARMINGS!!!!!

But seriously, DAMN. I wish I got awesome cold weather like that. Wanna trade your frostbitingness for the ~50F temps we'll be having for the next few days?

Holy snap.

All schools in my area are closed today due to getting a foot of snow dumped on our heads. And it's STILL SNOWING.

We haven't gotten snow like this in years ^___^

The same is happening here @ Sage. It's about 30 degrees right now. I walk home every day around 9 AM, and have recently discovered hoodies from Hot Topic are best used to just look at. >__>
