Agitated would be the better term.

Our weather has been so schizophrenic lately, cold one day then warm the next. It wreaks havoc with my sinus and I always get a sore throat when it happens. >_

I would be more annoyed with the fact that there's snow blanketing the ground while it's foggy and raining and there's half-melted ice covering the roads, but I've lived with it my entire life so it doesn't really bother me. People could really learn to drive in the snow, though.

I'm British. We love talking about the weather and moaning about it is a national pasttime. As such I'm happy whatever it is.

Nothing I like more than a nice windy day, it's invigorating.

(Plus our weather is a lot milder than anywhere else)

Well, I'm guessing you're probably talking about the whole recent snowstorm, but about weather in general... Naw, I'm from Chicago. Nature has the most violent mood swings here in the Midwest. It gets frickin' cold in winter, it gets frickin' hot in summer, and it does whatever the hell it wants for the rest of the year. In fact, we don't really have fall or spring here because the weather can just go from one extreme to the other. It's the middle of February and WHOOSH! It's 70 degrees all of a sudden. One day I'm wearing a winter coat and freezing my nuts off, and the next day I'm in shorts and a T-shirt. On the plus side, living here has made me completely jaded to the weather. Whenever people ask "Aren't you cold?", I just say "Naw man, I live here."

So I guess I don't care.

Being from Southern California, I'm "lucky" to get the barometer to say something below 65 degrees F; this usually excludes the winter season but man was it awfully cold this December. It was like 36 degrees two nights ago! What was up with that!

Weather happens. There's not a lot you can do about it bar try and catch the ever-changing BBC forecast and then gripe when it's wrong. Another favourite topic of conversation is "why can't Heathrow stay open under 2cm of snow when Chicago can (usually) deal with many times that?" Along with "In my day, we had much more snow and we just got on with it" and "why the hell did my child's school shut when everyone else still has to work?".

When it comes to summer, you'll hear the perennial "Oh, it's too hot" as soon as the thermometer hits 22 degrees (C of course - no idea what that is in F, although I know 28 is 82).

If, however, it changes sufficiently that we have long wet summers and cold snowy winters in my lifetime, I'll be moving, since I hate both.

Naw man, I live here.

But yeah, it IS annoying, but after living here a quarter of a century, you get used to it. I don't mind those 70's in February (that's MY kind of weather), but on the other hand, we can also get a random 40-degree drop in temperature in the middle of a week.

But yeah, we go below 0, above 100, and everywhere in between. Gotta be tough to live in Chicago.

if it makes you feel better i only know how to use the C degree too XD but really you make a lot of sense ...  some complaints are a bit dumb sounding having other places deal with worst weather and not complaining like stickghost said about chicago... but even if our winter here isnt as bad as other places its not what we're used to, our weather was never nice and now its gotten floods so its become very annoying in my opinion.

and about catching the weather forecast, ours keeps giving bad info >____<  we're going in blind. and dont let me tell you just how much i'm eatting now, what's with winter making me eat so much i'll be so round at the end of winter <crying>... i'm really not used to cold weatehr... our houses dont have heaters even.

sonicsfan1991"] i'm really not used to cold weatehr... our houses dont have heaters even.

Now that's bad   I've got gas central heating (albeit in an old house so if I want to be warm it is going to cost me).  Nothing like spending the evening on a pile of cushions right next to the radiator

It's currently snowing / sleeting here.  I'm hoping it doesn't settle because I have plans today which don't involve traffic going OMG SNOW! and grinding to a halt

It's actually been very mild, even by our standards (Colorado) and the recent snowstorm is just probably nature's way of reminding us, hey, it's winter! And then it'll just go back to low 50's or high 40's and sun. Nothing new though since it's a very arid place (Don't let the mountainous half fool you, half of the state is plains)

waaaaaaaaa you're making me imagine how cozy that would be my toes are freezing right now and i didnt get much sleep yesterday because of the cold weather. well at least there's no danger of roads closing now at least so i hope things get better with your weather too dear espacially that i know it must be awful not being able to go out.

tiggerkiddo, that's great the weather isnt too bad.. actually my idea of colorado isnt that different, its such a beauitful place XD i cant count how many times i drew its wonderful scenery or how many pics of it i collected as a kid (even the cigerette ads)  you're lucky to be in such a cool place, though i dont have to tell you that and i'm glad the weather didnt get bad there.

Where I come from, the weather hates you! And everyone else with a pulse. It's been cold, but that's within reason for this time of year... Oh, and to make it clear, as I have yet to inform the general populace of my nationality... I'm Scottish.

Ramza: I was in Edinburgh in October for a day. While in Bristol I could roam around with a fleece, I foolishly forgot how much further north Edinburgh was and really noticed the difference! What can I say, years of living down south made me soft

That was my third attempt to get to Edinburgh. The first was quashed by last January's snowfall in Bristol and Edinburgh. The second was quashed by the volcano.

Welp, as of today, almost the entire of state of Mississippi is under a freeze warning.

Seriously, I was driving back to school today, and by the time I got to my apartment, my care looked like a fraggin' icicle. My windshield was freezing faster than my defroster could melt it. I even had a pair of snowflake shaped pieces of ice on my rear wheels. They had to have been at least a foot across. Even the little emblem on the front was entirely under ice.

And just yesterday, I was walking around in a short sleeve without a coat. The weather's frikken bipolar!

Mada, DW was talking about the volcano in Iceland that caused a lot of flights in Europe to be grounded last spring, because it put too much ash into the atmosphere.

Meh.  Yes, it's cold (which I;m not fond of)and, yes, there's snow on the ground...but at least we haven't had any more nasty ice storms like the one back in 2009 that took the entire city's power out for several days.
Therefore, I picked "Don't care".

I was totally not expecting you to be a Scot Ramza O_O I don't know why really.

I'd probably be alright in Edinburgh temperature wise. Maybe not the highlands but should be there. Even when it was -12C in Leicester I was still only wearing the standard t-shirt and jeans with a coat if i was outside. Bit cold on the hands when you're scraping your windowscreen, but eh. I was one of only two people at work (out of around 500ish collegues) who only wore one layer while working throughout the cold snap.

Course the amount of snow you guys get would blow me out the water haha!

Summer, on the other hand... *cringes* anything over 25C and i'm flat out on the floor.

On a side note the Icelandic volcano was hilarious.

Okay, the weather just went and pissed me off. It snowed and rained one day. So I wake up to go to work and I've got a thick layer of ice covering my entire driveway. I threw a bunch of salt on it, which did approximately 'jack s___'. The ice is now Swiss cheese, but it's STILL hard as hell and not going anywhere. That was a couple days ago. I'm gonna need some dynamite or something to get this stuff off.

Well, on the one hand I do love winter wear.

But on the other hand the computer I'm typing from is in a basement and it's reaaaally cold down here.

So I don't know how I feel about winter...
