I got message said files are missing or corrupt.
The high memory is not available so it needs to use low memory instead.
The win.com is'nt there so it can't run Windows 95.
I replaced the old clock battery with a new battery, but i got the same things on my computer when i tried to start the computer!
I have an idea and that is to reinstall Windows 95.
I'm afraid that i will risk to lose all my files i have on my other harddrives that has'nt the operative system.
... Windows 95? Holy crap dude, that's 13+ years old...
Might I suggest upgrading?
Backup your data on a external or just plug an old extra one into it.
You can TRY to replace the missing files one at a time, but depending on if it's corruption or just the hard drive failing you may or may not be able to do that.

Do external HDDs even run on 95? I thought most drivers only cover 98 and up usually...
You know... I don't know. I think I've gotten then to work on 98se. But 95... Good point, don't chance it. Just stick an old IDE in there.

I don't think Windows 95-running PC's even had USB ports. XD
Nope, they did. The later ones. 95 had a USB support version.

Dang. I don't even want to think what that was like.

oh lord, i don't think my old 95 computer even has a CD burner drive. o-o this would mean transferring all files via floppy to my parent's computer, burning it to CD before finally getting them onto my laptop/pc.
..if it would even run after spending over 5 years in the attic. >>;
Windows 95? Maaan those were the days. However, nobody can mess with 3.1. That spells classic right there. I find it most funny that back in late '96 my dad got us Windows 95 because we got a PC game that didn't support 3.1. Just for a game...my father is the man. Best of luck to installing it, those classic days are worth fighting for.
This may be off-topic, but when did USB drives first get created?

Several companies claim to have invented the USB flash drive. Trek was the first company to sell a USB flash drive (ThumbDrive) in early 2000.
Windows 95 ain't that old.
Somewhere in our attic we got a PC so ancient it predates Windows altogether, and still uses those 5inch floppy diskettes. Monochromatic yellow color monitor and all. And I bet it'd still work too.
^Word.
I still use a laptop occasionally (for writing since that's all it can do) that features Windows 3.0 on it. 15 MINUTES TO BOOT UP.
When '95 came out I really thought the future had arrived.
Man, 95 was awesome. of course, 98 was the best, but both brought lots of memories and good times. ahh... i remember the only games i had was the sonic and knuckles collection, sonic r, nascar 95/98 and x-wing vs tie fighter...
Using 3.x raw without a alternative shell (such as Calmira) will give one a new appreciation for 95.
Dosshell was the best. I mean, you could customize it to lime, cyan, or fuchsia! What more could you want!
