About half an hour ago, I went outside to the front of my house and saw fireworks appearing in the distance. They weren't too far anyway in my opinion, just a few kilometres away or something. If I remember correctly, these fireworks tend to appear every year at about this time in December and/or certain other times during the year. I'm not exactly sure what the reason is for these fireworks (or, indeed, if there even IS a reason..... and let's face it, there doesn't NEED to be a reason for fireworks... they're fun, simple as that!!!!! 
). But yeah, I got a BEAUTIFUL salty smell and seaweed smell coming from the Indian Ocean VERY CLOSE to the right of me and a KICKASS view of fireworks right in front of me. The fireworks lasted for at least about 15 minutes and the final few fireworks that appeared were AWESOME. Man, I'm SO proud of where I live and I wouldn't trade it for ANYTHING in the WORLD! 
Praise God for all of this beauty I've been blessed with!!! PRAISE GOD, MAN!!!!!

I fear these qualities may end up our undoing (if in some weird messed up way they don't save us 1st)

Sex isn't uncivilised in and of itself. Whether or not sex is 'civilised' or 'uncivilised' depends on how and why one is having sex in the first place. I mean, lordy y'all, we wouldn't be here talking to each other if some peeps didn't decide to increase their numbers by getting laid!

I agree that the two things we can't seem to mentally evolve past are our lust for power/destruction & our lust for sex. But, as hard as it might be, I do believe that it IS possible to mentally evolve past are our lust for power/destruction & our lust for sex. First, we need to control our lust for power/destruction & our lust for sex and then once we've achieved this, then we can go one step further and transcend our lust for power/destruction & our lust for sex.

Thanks for agreeing rish, Now I just want to point out that neither of those things are bad, but the way we use & obsess over them is, I think people should try to meantally mature/evolve to a point where they realize that its OK for them to commit these acts in moderation but obsessing over things like war & sex....now thats just wrong! (even though both are fun to an extent, there both dangerious and harmful to your health as well, some times equally so depending on the person, so yea, its OK for people to have sex and war, as long as its in moderation & not all they think about.
Legion, as long as we screw people safely and kill people only if it means saving the lives of other people, then sex and war are not dangerous and harmful to your health. Well, sex anyway. Anyway... make love, not war... whatever.
Defending the wonders of sex on an internet forum makes me feel better about not having any.
