It's a hard choice from so many cool powers, but I'd have to go with either super strength or super speed. Both are very versatile powers and could be used to partly replicate other abilities (like jumping with super strength for "flight" and going so fast as to be virtually invisible to the naked eye).

i know what you're thinking. dumb power right? NO! it's cool because you can blast someone in the air as well as someone who's standing in front of you. hence, best power ever.

Love? What...lol. I think Super Speed would be mine, Terg's description sounds about right. For one considering, I run track I could never lose. =D And secondly, I can literally be Sonic for Halloween now. ^^

It's a tough choice between flight, and slowing down time.

Eh, what the hey, I'm going with slowing down time, dodging bullets and stuff would be infinitely cool.

Either teleportation for easy transport or shapeshifting! =D
Of course, if the shapeshifting allows me to also obtain the powers of whomever I'm morphing to I wouldn't need teleportation.

The ability to control matter, like the Absorbing Man.

Seriously, I didn't like the Hulk movie all that much, but when Bruce's father gained and used this ability near the end, I was amazed at how awesome-looking it was. It'd be so fun just to mess around with that power.

I think I would like multiplication, like Naruto's Shadow Clone Jutsu, that way I can send one clone to work, another clone to my other job I'll start next week, and then the other clone to school, while I would stay at home and do what ever. Then like the Shadow Clones, when they despersed I would gain whatever knowledge and experince they had while separated from me.

The ability to bestow common sense onto others at a mere glace or even by proxy.

Shapeshifting by far.

Teleportation or flight so I can bloody get to Wes' house without paying up the dough >=/

Of course if it's flight I'd need super endurance as well so I can fly long distance.

Always a hard choice, but I'd go with shapeshifting also. You could be anything with that power.

I'd really like to have a power that lets you see 100 miles ahead of you and then use it for marksmanship and stuff like that.

Has anyone seen Quantum Leap? My power would be to inhabit peoples bodies as I feel like it. And when I get sick of one body I'll take a new one, allowing me to live forever. And if I want some other powers, I'll just possess you lot, so really I win.

I really like a wall climbing ability. Makes me walk on the ceiling; not to mention being able to defy the laws of physics. 😀
Or maybe intangibility. Being able to go through solid objects would be cool.

Teleportation. Get out of any sticky situation instantaneously, far out of the reach or knowledge of your adversaries, get the magic or godly weapon you would require to take out any random person imbued with another super power, or break into a highly secure place in order to spy inside an enemies' base or other high-security area.

Oh, and guys, +2 points for nobody having said X-ray vision yet. Whenever a super power topic comes up, that's usually spammed about a million times. 😛

If I had a super power, I'd have wings.

Because wings are cool. Feathered wings, too. None of that other crap.

Teleportation, cos let's face it, if I could do that I wouldn't walk *anywhere*. Plus I wouldn't need to run a car or pay a fortune for over-priced public transport.

Or alternatively control of the weather. In my neck of the woods it would be sunny and warm all day with hugely impressive thunderstorms at night!

Alternately, the power to warp space & time. Used creatively, it'd be pretty damn versatile. Super speed, flight, teleportation, control over gravity, time travel, maybe even immortality if you fix it just right.

The ability to go super fast by tapping into the physics of an alternate dimension, a la the Flash and the Speed Force.

Another one for telekinesis or teleportation - I have too many friends living too far away at the moment.

And telekinesis is pretty versatile - it can replicate most other abilities. 🙂

I'd have to go for teleportation, and the ability to summon mint choc chip ice cream at will. Mmmmm.

To those whom say shapeshifting;

Are you not worried that perhaps with this power come some downsides? Perhaps with all the jumping of forms, you may begin to forget your own self? Are you not worried that if it's known you can shapeshift, you will never be trusted? What about the common regeneration of cells add on, do you want to live forever, what about the fact this could go further, would you even need to sleep anymore? Could you get drunk? Could you even eat properly?
