A new character appears and is totally loved by everybody to insane levels, except the ridiculously over the top antagonists who hate him even more. And the things the antagonists use to attack him with are totally ridiculous because the author won't let them have any reasonable excuses.
His opponents somehow, despite being formidable against others, start acting like idiots and embarrassing themselves when he challenges them.
