Ouch. I should conisder myself lucky, though I'm not considering wind chills here are just around freezing where I am. It even snowed this morning just to mock me.
DAMN YOU NEW JERSEY! ARGH!*shakes fist*

Also, SA, I hate you and your not-having-to-bundle-up weather. j/k |:<

XD Well, weather is really weird around here. January is usually well... cold. On Monday, it's apparently going to be 57.

Jesus. I've had to start my car like 3 times today just to keep it alive. Insanity.

It's supposed to get worse for us tomorrow. I don't even know if I'll get to work...

-32°C ?!

That's rediculous O_O We rarely get lower than -10°C (14°F)

So... *breaks out the converter*

...Jin's -36°C. American temperatures are insane.

DAMNIT why can't there be some universal unit everyone can relate to. Like K. But where non-scientists actually know what the temperatures mean.

It was well below zero F this morning... It's been below zero for the past few days XD This morning was 20s below zero F. To think last week I was experiencing weather in the 90s.

weather.com says at 6:15 pm it's 0° F and its clear feeling like 0° F (-18° C). I say screw you weather.com since I just walked 3 blocks outside from work and the wind is blowing although not as bad a last night.

Edit: Local news says there's a windchill of -9 ° F right now XD

D'OH! I knew it was going to happen sooner or later. Started my car again and... I just left it there. For like... possibly 45 minutes. >.< Yay waste of gas. *shoots self*

Wind's died down now, though. -12° F (feels like -24° F). Winds died down to 5mph. Woohoo?

And it's hot here. This is scary, I fear how hot it will be in the summer. This is just the tip of the iceberg of climate change.

Here in Knoxville today the high was 27, and in the morning, it's gonna be about 8 in the morning with windchills possibly in the single negatives! Now, I know this doesn't hold a candle to the temp to you guys up North, but this is vey cold for us in Tennessee. Also, I'm a cart pusher at Walmart, and I gotta go in at 8. I feel sorry for the cart pushers up there in the colder areas, brrrr!

It's been below zero all day. Yesterday, it was double digits below zero all day.

This is the type of weather that gives people Tourette's. They could be the classiest person in the world, completely non-profane in every way, and then they open their doors and let loose a torrent of profanity that makes children wake up and cry for miles around.

It was forty-something today in northern Mississippi, but it felt like it was in the thirties. The sun was shining brightly today, but it was useless at warming it up. It's torture trying to ride a bike in weather like that. It was so bad that I was wearing a thick coat, leather gloves, a ski band and a fleece scarf over my face and still nearly froze.

I suppose I should count myself lucky that I didn't have to scrape frost off my windshields today like I did Tuesday.

Scrape frost off the windshield?

Dude, it's so cold outside that when I turn off my warm car and come back after a couple hours of school or work, I find frost frozen to all four of my inside windows x__o; Don't get me started on the ice that is perpetually frozen to the top half of my windshield.

As of right now, it's -8°F (-22°C), -25°F (-32°C) with windchill.

At the very least, it's supposed to be above zero tomorrow ;__; **buries self back under blankets**

MAKE IT STAWWWWP!!!

Thankfully, my car started this morning. I accidentally left my heater in the "on" position though, so when the car started, I heard a loud, "VWHIRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!", just a nasty, high pitched, grindy noise. Ugh. Poor fan was frozen. I immediately turned off the heater fan, ran inside the house, and awaited for my car to warm up.

It was -35 again with windchill this morning. When it will it freakin' end. ;___;

Well, I'm guessing C and F are used more than K because they work with smaller numbers so people can more easily see the numerical differences between everyday temperatures that FEEL quite different from each other, though they're probably not that far different when compared to absolute zero. At least C is more equivalent per unit to K though. (ie. the same change in temp would be 1 C, 1 K, and 9/5 F) Don't see why they don't just all switch to C. But yeah, it's something to expect that places like the midwestern US would get much colder than islands like Newfoundland or Britain would since there's not as much of a marine effect.

And Rayzor, I noticed the mention of it being cold for where you live; I remember back in grade 10 my science teacher mentioned how in some tropical places where the temp was in the 20s range (celsius) people were complaining that it's not warm enough; ironic, since where I live, I'd probably be complaining that that's TOO warm.

wow, still cold Jin? It was bitter this morning, but no where near as bad as Thursday and Wednesday... We are at a balmy 7°F, feeling like -8°F with the wind chill. HUGE improvement over yesterday.

So is it just me, or does the midwest have some of the most extreme temperature ranges on earth? We get down to -30s in the winter and can hit over 100 in the summer... That said there isn't a single place on earth I'd rather live.

-15 degrees but feels like -21 degrees (Celsius)

Tomorrow we are expecting snow showers. Yay! < / sarcasm >

That's why I said some, man. But anyway, how warm is it where you live Rish, and no, Tennessee is completely landlocked but Knoxville is around the Tennessee River.

yea...it was stupid cold like that in December and I hated it...

There is where I sound totally evil when I say it'll be in the high 50's to mid 60's for the forseeable future in Denver (Aka a good week or more)...

Sure we got snow but what good is it when it's blizzard like in the early morning and 55 in the afternoon.

Meh, what you wrote that around noon your time right? That's only 88°, it gets that hot, or higher, around here in the summer; not all the time during it, but quite a few days. Course, considering it's about 3 pm your time, it may be even hotter.

for the past few days, it's been anywhere between -10c and -30c (depending on humidity and wind chill and etc)

far too chilly for a becca, even when wearing several layers of clothing. if i'm going outside, i have to go into a shop after awhile just to let my face warm up! ^.^;

Whoa, that was pretty hot though it can get that hot that early here in the summer, but I digress. Anyway, today, it wasn't too cold, but it's been snowing all day here. Unfortunately, Knoxville is in a valley, and the snow mostly stuck on the dirt, grassy areas, and back roads while it made the main roads just wet. And I wanted a snow day from work darnit!

Today didn't seem to be as bad except for the effing wind chill.
23°F with windchill of 12°F. Toss in ice on the sidewalks from the previous day's snow, and it's bound to be slippery! D:

More people need to actually bother shoveling in front of their houses. They need to travel, too, I bet. :/
