*shrugs* From just looking at it, it looks like they found this egg, baby bird hatched, latches on to (grown Lilo?) girl and stitch.
Looks neat. Good to see they caught the animation perfectly. Just wish they didn't have to make a new girl, or grow her up to make it anime. Should be good, though.

I'm kinda down with it. Though the show here's not all that good in the first place, at least the animation does seem to have a higher quality, despite the crap vid quality. Oh yes... the weird bug-eyed bird things... creepy. They want to swallow our souls.

I hope that the other experiments will be involved. That's what I loved about the American animated series.
It seems much more faithful than the "let's translate it into every cliche we can think of so it's anime" Japanese PPG. That sucks when they Americanize anime here and when they do it there.

I know nothing about the Lilo & Stitch franchise other than its name and I don't care about knowing anything more about it, but I agree with this general sentiment.

I should also mention that Disney will be Turning TOON DISNEY to DISNEY DX in feb 09...The'll still have some of their newer shows & Jetix, but will also be airing alot of new shows through out the year Besides Hanako&Stitch 2 other new shows will air..these will be fireball & I think the other one is claase ROBODX or somthing like that, ITS CGI it looks good, but Hanako & Stitch looks better!

I think you're forgetting a little something called supply & demand. The original TV series proved to be very popular in Japan (as did the Power Puff Girls) and Disney decided to capitalize on that. Whether it is better? That remains to be seen.

That's because the entire plot of the series was essentially Pokeymans. Yes, I went there!
But seriously, I'm surprised on how accurate the animators kept the aliens in the original American look. Here I was expecting Jumba to be some bishonen with long flowing alien hair.
