Cartoon Network has lost their minds. Why in god's name are they dubbing PPGZ just....why?

The only thing that could save it is if they use the voice actors from the REAL show but I doubt they'll do that.

Oh well. I'll have new Transformers Animated episodes and this mysterious Eds movie to look forward to.

Holy crap is the Gangreen Gang confusing. In the original PPGZ, (wow, saying that is confusing too) People insisted that they turned Little Arturo into a girl. Now in the dub, Little Arturo is indeed a male but then they threw a GIANT curveball and made Snake a woman...and changed his name to Ivy. Seriously, he was clearly male in the original PPGZ. What the hell guys?

I'm excited hearing about Shippuden and especially One Piece maybe coming back. I'm also looking forward to PPGZ actually, and the new episodes of Ben, TFA, the Saturdays, and Batman. I'm kinda iffy on the Pink Panther and Garfield; the rest I don't really care about cept maybe the PPG 10th anniversary thing.

thats a Diffrent Englsih dub...The US DUb of PPGZ is being done by ocean group (The people who did Inuyasha for viz) the one your watching was the South amarican english dub...The North american English Dub will be mucg better & Accurate!

As a PPG fan, I'll try to stay tuned for that 10th anniversary special. As for the PPGZ anime, I think I'll pass. I HATE that English opening for it, and using the 1st opening for the ending really stinks, too. I've become a bit spoiled when it comes to this show after watching it in its native language.

I haven't really been watching CN as much, anyway. Chances are I'll just watch whatever I miss on youtube or some other streaming site, anyway.

I don't think Metalocalypse is being cancelled, but I think that it is nearing its conclusion. From what I have heard the coming season will be the one that wraps up the plotline.

A few things:

The NUMBER ONE thing on my list is the return of the Looney Tunes to the CN lineup. They have been missing for ages on the sole pretense that WB is being RIDICULOUSLY asinine with the property. They were trying to charge CN for airing them, even though CN is a subsidiary of WB. It was just utterly stupid. I'm hoping that the all day New Years marathon means that it will be returning to the lineup for good. Right now Tom and Jerry is the only classic cartoon represented on CN. You really don't know what you've been missing until it's gone.

The PPG 10th Anniversary special will be animated in Flash much like Fosters is - however, from what I'm hearing it won't LOOK like Fosters. I think its good actually because I think PPG lost something in the seasons where it went digital and Lauren Faust became more involved with the show (which is odd because her work on Foster's is amazing). Craig McCracken along with Lauren will be directly involved with this so I see nothing but good things.

I'm sad to see Foster's go, but its one of the only CN toons that has so far been consistently good from start to finish with no dip in between. McCracken perfecting flash and making the wait between seasons much shorter was part of the cause of this, I think.

This will also be the final nail in the coffin for Ed, Edd, and Eddy. I didn't like that show when it premiered and now I'm sad to see it go. If you can get past its animation style it really was one of the most genuinely hilarious things CN had going for it. Te plot of the movie will supposedly be the search for Eddy's older brother.

I'm honestly surprised that its taken CN this long to even confirm that Powerpuff Girls Z even exists. It's aired in every other market BUT North America. I've heard that the Ocean Group did a dub of the series but I'm really hoping that a different english dub is done and the series is rewritten a little. I think the general quality of the show is part of why CN hasn't risked airing it. It's been successful everywhere else but I think it might be one of those "transition series" where its a little TOO Japanese.

Bakugan can blow me ad Hot Wheels can blow me more.

The Garfield pilot looks horrible. It's going to have to be MUUUUUUUUUUUUCH better than that if it expects to surpass the 90's Garfield cartoon which was - in no short terms - brilliant.

I amd **REALLY** looking forward to Cartoon Institute. It's an attempt to revitalize the "What a Cartoon" show that CN used to have and sets up a way for them to find new properties etc etc. Yet again - McCracken is behind this and I like that he wants to give others the same chance he had.

Naruto Shippuden has not been confirmed yet - BUT it's looking likely that it may happen. Now I'm not a fan of Naruto but thankfully we're finally at the tail end of the 80+ episodes of fillers that almost destroyed the show in Japan. I'm surprised the show has done well enough to survive here in the states, but the legion of Narutards is pretty strong. I've heard Shippuden is much better and finally moves the plot at a breakneck pace, so we'll see.

What I **REALLY** want to see come back is One Piece and its the only thing that is seriously up in the air. There has been no confirmation yet, but everyone knows that 4Kids **DESTROYED** the show in the states which is a damn shame because it's one of the only animes out now that I genuinely like. I think CN is keeping it off the air to relieve the taint of the 4Kids version - if you've noticed - no more 4Kids show air on Cartoon Network and I think that is a good thing (outside of Ninja Turtles but thats a whole nother can of worms. If you haven't seen the new Funimation iterations of Season One of One Piece then you are really missing out. New dubs, proper openings, no cuts - it's like a completely different show. I tink airng the Funi version after the 4Kids version was a mistake. I'm hoping that if it does come back it will be for a long while and starting with Funi's version of Season One for good measure. Keep your fingers crossed that it succeeds.

Chowder and Flapjack = MOAR

Ben 10.....hm. You know. I can't stand the original Ben 10. It's juvenile, puerile, and written down for an audience of dumb children. And yet, barring continuity niggles I like Alien Force much more because it DOESN'T do the things that Ben 10 did. It comes at the expense of being a bit more wooden but at least it's watchable and doesn't pander to the buy our toys mentality AS MUCH as the original did.

Looking forward to Transformers, Season 3. Wish it would get here sooner.

CN seems to want to move beyond the past few years of suck and I cannot fault them for that. They're closing off shows that deserved closure long ago and finally moving towards a path that doesn't seem to make it a shell of itself like it once did. We'll see how long it lasts.

#4: What kind of editing can we expect on the TV version?
Answer: The editing will be much, much less than the 4kids version. The FCC does NOT regulate what can air on cable channels, however, Cartoon Network has specifically stated that the consumption of alcohol and the smoking of cigarettes is not permitted. Also, the violence will be toned down to the effect where punches are accompanied by a brief flash, and flesh wounds will show blood but not squirt blood. Sanji will not have a lollipop or a cigarette, they have chosen to go with nothing at all.

Oh, there will be cuts. A truly uncut One Piece will be DVD only.

Yes I have watched Secret saturdays. Its pretty good. Not the best but still a very entertaining action series. I would reccomend it to any one whose a fan of shows like Johhny quest.

I think I have to echo dubs almost completely. But I liked Ed, Edd, and Eddy with all gusto. I'm not an artist though so the almost stooges level of slapstick hilarity got me.

Fosters will be greatly missed. It made me shut my mouth about Flash cartoons being utter crap and I'm glad it did. Best kids show that's come out since Animaniacs.

And PLEASE let them give One Piece a second shot. If 4kids hasn't killed it I'm sure it'll topple Naruto. Not that I have anything against Naruto, I watched almost all of it. The later filler finally made me quit. But it's time to give someone else a shot.

Naruto/Naruto Shippuden, Powerpuff Girls Z (and the original PPG 10th Anniversary), Ben 10: Alien Force, and Loony Tunes give me a reason to keep paying my cable bill other than keeping for CSPAN, CSPAN 2, CSPAN 3, ESPN, ESPN 2, ESPNNews, SNY, MSG, YES, and FoxSports (yes, I need my sports & politics but it's nice to have other interests too).

I'm curious as to how Powerpuff Girls Z is going to look/sound when "localized." Loony Tunes... how I've missed them.
