Okay, what do you think of your team's upcoming chances this year? Are you headed for the postseason or are you headed for mediocrity once again?

Okay, my falcons don't look like they'll do to well this year... again... which isn't surprising in of itself, but that's not surprising knowing their history. But how will yours do?

Lucky. >_>

I'm hoping Matt Ryan really is the Bee's Knee's or else I'm going to be pissed we missed out on having one of the best backfields in the NFL...

Niner fan here. I'm really hoping for a decent season. Hopefully Mike Martz can really get the offense finally going in the right direction. Thats pretty much what has been holding us back the past few years.

Giants! Boo!! Actually, no I like the Giants, they're just a rival of my favorite team, The Cowboys. Although now that Julius Jones has been traded to the Seahawks...the Seahawks are looking to be my second favorite this year. I say The 'Boys do atleast as well as they did last year. Seahawks...no clue really.

Tom Brady = probably out for the season with torn ACL.

Anyone who had a bounty on Tom Brady from last year can send all payments to Chiefs safety Bernard Pollard.

So... tonight the Greiners introduced me to the game of football which involves 95% hand contact and 5% punts. I sat in the living room, looked at the Toshiba HD TV which hadonce shown me amazing movies and realized I would have to endure it.

So, the first thing I learned is my intial assessment "It's Rugby with armor!" was wrong. Or at least it was not correct, for I realized as I learned the rules of football, I never bothered to learn the rules of rugby. Curse my hatred of sports.

and as I watched my team, the Chicago Bears, humiliate and dominate the Indionapolis Colts, astray M Bisonesque "YES! YES!" escape my lips. Biting them down in punishment of their inadvertant betrayal, I enjoyed all quaters. I felt frustrated at the slow pace of the game. The numerous and humorous commercial interruptions, the way that even when my team scored I felt no excitement in the matter as the fumbles and bumbles were so busy it was impossible to see what was going on.

But who cares. My team won the hell out of it and I saw some guys in armor attack some guys in armor.

I may not know the rules of rugby (men's mudwrestling... with an oval ball?) but I know that involves no armor... and big scary black guys doing tribal dances.

So Rugby being more metal than Football? I was going to say HELL YES.

But then I watched this: (Warning, contains some lewd language and material which is not suitable for younger viewers)

Now I don't know what to believe.

NFL is ...awesome? Maybe?

yeah, I'm a Packers fan. Yes, I was sad/disappointed/hopeful/pissed/indifferent that Favre might/will/was/maybe/DEFINITELY/hmmm/IWANTBAAAAACK/FINE for another team.

OH WELL. I'm a fan of the team, the people, the atmosphere. My devotion to the team doesn't depend on a single player, nor does it depend on the team's win/loss record.

Tell me about it Castor, one of my roommate had him on his Fantasy Football League team...he is probably held captive in Tuscaloosa jail right now, after the riot that occured yesterday evening. Haha And hey you know Abac...you guys have Mcfadden, correct? Assuming your O-Line is half-way decent you'll atleast have some form of running attack. And Craig...welcome to the NFL[even though college is better in my opinion]. Next for you is...The Lingerie Bowl!!

Well, my team lost sunday. At least we look way better on offense this year than last, which I couldn't stand (I can take a loss over punting the ball all day.) But way to many errors and turnovers by us (muffed balls and fumbles) that there was no way chance of winning. Hopefully better luck next week.

Falcons play the Chiefs next week, so Matt Ryan has a shot at starting 2-1.

Man, I gotta say, though we lost to Tampa Bay (Which we ALWAYS do, which is not a surprise to me.), we still had a shot at the end even though we had a horrid 1st half. I can't wait until the day Monte Kiffin retires ;_;
But seriously, even though he went 0-9 in the first half, he played pretty well in the second, though we kept kicking field goals which killed us. We had a shot at the end, when it was 17-9, but we gave up the long td which killed any shot we had v_v

Dammit, Chiefs! You blew it! You were supposed to be bad enough to go 0-16! You're not supposed to be WINNING games, especially not against undefeated division rivals! Now the Rams are gonna get all the "we're ****ing horrible in every aspect" glory!

Also, if we must ask about them Cowboys, we must ask about Jerry Jones.

Oops, wrong game.

It's like he's about to devour Patrick Crayton.

EDIT: Oh, and of course, this beauty by Terrell Owens is always fun;

I guess this could include College Football. Also, at Carolina. v_v

Oh well, 2-2 is definately better than 1-3 where we were last year. Also, where the hell is Boston? Falcons/Packers discussion NAO. I don't actually think Atlanta will win, seeing as I see them as a strong home team, but only a 2-3 win away team unfortuantely. x.x

BOSTON IS RIGHT HERE

I've been too busy with school to really care about Football... Also, I've been more focused on my Twins, who just lost out of the Playoffs =|

My defending champs don't play until tomorrow night.

However, I just witnessed the Redskins lose to the winless Rams 19-17.

So woohoo.

Also, despite the unbelievable tomfoolery of the referees in the final minutes (ensuring OT), I just witnessed the Cowboys drop a gift-wrapped game to the Cardinals 30-24.

So woohoo again.

Don't really care about Philadelphia beating the 49ers 40-26, as it only puts more pressure on the Redskins and Cowboys than it does on the Giants.

I watched my Falcons dominate the bears for 3 quarters, miss a chipshot field goal that would seal it, give up what I thought was a game-winning touchdown with 11 seconds left, then come back and kick the game winning field goal with 1 second to go making a completely epic victory.

I think Matt Ryan is going to be good, along with DeSean Jackson. My brother got to meet Ryan at a Flyers game when he sat in a box 2 seats down from him right after he was drafted and seemed like a cool, down to earth guy. Too bad he is from Boston College LOL. My other quarterback I followed when he was with the Fighting Blue Hens, Joe Flacco, is showing why he is too inexperienced to be a starter. He just can not string anything together. The Eagles really pulled it out at the end to seal it up, which was nice for a change as it's normally the other team that does that. That said, Reid and McNabb get their heads together, this team is going to fight tooth and nail to be over 500 the way they are playing. As for the Cowboys, I laughed. The best part was Troy Kiss-Ass Aikmen was SPEECHLESS during that punt block.

*weeps* Shut up!! They're just...having a rough time right now...they return with all their glory. But the Giants should dominate tonight. And the Saints yesterday...woo hoo!

As for college...Texas...heck yea! Hook 'em Longhorns!! Now number 1..but not for long considering they play the ex-number 3 team this weekend, who i'm guessing will beat them and if not...make it a really close game, but if they somehow hold on to the number 1 spot Oklahoma State[team that beat the ex-number 3 team, Mizzou] and Penn State[current number 3] are still left to play. So i'm saying three words...Roll Tide Roll!
