Yea you know how it goes. Oh well, only lost one though...unlike my Cowboys. Grr!!
UTs win over Oklahoma makes the whole Cowboys thing seem alittle more bearable, but not by much.
Heh, indeed Astrid. How've you been? I had no idea you were still here.
Feel ashamed if you missed the Raiders-Jets game.
It felt like the Raiders won the Super Bowl. Awesome game.
Is it wrong for me to feel such schadenfruede watching the Cowboys experience soul-crushing losses? Am I only doing so because my Chiefs suck the farts out of dead cats this year and thus need to see others crumble so I don't feel so inadequate?
Maybe, but really, HOW BOUT THEM COWBOYS!!!!!
Oh yes; how about those Cowboys, who lost to the Rams (who now suddenly seem like a pro football team under Jim Haslett) 34-14? Maybe next time Jerry Jones will know to do something else other than buy another Mr. Ego wide receiver...from DETROIT...ah, who am I kidding.
Anyhow, I just watched my defending champs avenge last week's loss with a victory over the San Francisco 49ers (29-17, and it wouldn't have even been that close had the field goal not been blocked and returned for a touchdown).
So woohoo.
Next week: THE STILLERS COME TO NEW YAWK.
Is it wrong for me to feel such schadenfruede watching the Cowboys experience soul-crushing losses?
Yes...you are a creature without a soul. u_u
But I gotta say...they are on a decline. Romo hurry and get better man...like for real. *cries* But you're a Chiefs fan Castor? I'm sorry...I understand why your soul is gone now. 😛 But the Raiders? Really, Abac? I remember seeing the highlights[or maybe it was the halftime highlights], but I figured the Jets had/would won/win. But woo hoo! Go Giants? Did the Skins or Eagle's play yesterday? Haven't heard about their games.
Onto the college side of things...Roll Tide Roll!! Still holding on to the undefeated record. 7-0 #2...life is good. Then Texas and Penn State are doing equally as well. LSU nearly lost, that would've been wonderful, but in about 3 weeks that'll all change.

Sorry about that, I just couldn't help myself, I never really have liked Dallas myself, but I meerly watched my falcons take their bye week, but a BIG game against the eagles this week. If we win, damn, talk about a total reversal from last year.
The Eagles had their bye week Hyper; the Redskins barely held out against the Browns 14-11.
And yes, a hurrah for Alabama.

;_;
Ahh a bye week, ok? Cool, thanks Ultra. And atleast I have my college teams. Bama, Texas, Penn State and those Utah Utes!! Woo hoo!!
lol, nothing against you personally, I think you're pretty awesome, I've just disliked the cowboys for a long time, due to the fact that most fans of them that I've encountered (Read: Most, not all.) have been pretty arrogant from my experiences, so I tend to ride them pretty hard when they lose like that. XD
But hey, if the Falcons beat the Eagles, will it make up for it?
*Pats Hyper on the back*
If the Eagles don't go 4-1 down this stretch of creampuffs, and at least 3-2 on the tough teams, they are toast. and that includes the need to beat the Reds and Cow Patties, and the Giants at least once. Also, howabout them Cowboys? Also, the Pats are dropping like flies. Rodney Harrison's career could be over due to a blown quad. Ow.

Haha, ah nah it's cool dude. Thanks though. *is pretty awesome* I know what you mean about arrogant fans though. Gah so annoying. You've got a right to ride them, no disagreement there. But Falcons beating Eagles...yes...that makes up for it. Make it happen man. =P
If Micheal Burner gets going, I think we can win this game handily. Matt Ryan proved that they can still win even if the running game isn't going well, so having it plus Ryan beasting on secondaries = Awesome. Serioulsy getting Turner may be the best offseason move in a long time.
I just watched my defending champs make a satisfying 4th-quarter comeback in a grueling smash-mouth game of football against the Steelers (21-14 victory).
So woohoo.

Keep in mind, though, that you guys were pretty much saved by one bad snap. One EPICLY bad snap, in fact.
I watched my team get defeated by the referees calling the game. So naturally, I'm raged.
Haha, that is like the go-to excuse when a Philly team beats someone. "Well, THE REFS BLEW IT" "WELL THE UMPS BLEW IT" "WELL THE REFS GAVE IT TO THE DIRTY FLYERS" "WELL THE GAMBLING REFS BLEW IT- wait, the 76ers are capable of beating someone in the first place?". You don't get beat by (at the min.) two scores by the refs. Matt Ryan could not keep up with the Eagles defensive blitzkrieg. If you need to rely on the ref's calls, you'rep robably nto good enough to beat who you are playing anyway. Still, the Eagles looked closer to the Falcosn than the Giants. Even though I think the Giants are playing creampuffs up to this point. And not to mention the 4-3 Eagles everyone thinks are crap despite playing the hardest opening schedule of any team beat the Steelers solidly, again using defense.
I was highly offended this weekend to switch on to the beeb to find an american rugby match taking place at the wembley football stadium . (actually i was indifferent and switched off the tv).

I blame the fact that their original long snapper Greg Warren - who was injured (like many other Steelers players during last night's game) - was not snapping.
So... instead of Atlanta having a chance to get one last drive in, a bad call when we were only down by 6 at the time, so get your facts straight. Adam Jennings was going to recover a punt, decided he couldn't catch it, and backed away from it. Ref said it was a muffed punt and PHI ball. Replay shows that he never touched the damn ball, so it should be ATL ball. But since Smith was calling timeouts before PHI punted, we couldn't challenge, and thus, a bad call stood. Watch the replay's and tell me that is a Muffed Punt. True, there's no guarentee Atlanta wins that game by scoring a game-winning drive, but hell, they had a shot to do it, and getting hit by the refs, not allowing them even a CHANCE to do it, really pisses me off, so naturally, I'm angry. And although Ryan through 2 INT's, he did throw 2 TD's and what, around 270 yds? Its not like he couldn't move the ball at all. And since the only clockstopper left was the 2 mintue warning, there was no way Atlanta was going to get the ball after that, Westbrook just happened to score. So you know what? Get your goddamn facts straight before just saying cause they lost by 2 scores that the refs didn't play a factor. And Philly's defense really wasn't the problem, it was Brian Westbrook >_
I missed all NFL this weekend and saw only a little bit of college football. Roll Tide! 😛 But yea the 'Boys won, crazy mad awesome! Yays!
You beat the Bucs, that's always good
Ha, yea just barely though. *whew*
And they come to town to visit the Giants next Sunday.
I wonder how Brad Johnson likes his chances...?
Indeed, they do. *shudders*
XD
The giants are good, very good, I'll give them that. But you can't overestimate them nor the competition they've faced. Now, I'm not saying it would shock me if the Giants beat the 'boys sunday.
Anyway, I really hope my falcons pound the Raiders into the ground after how the ref's screwed up a chance at a game-winning drive >=C *Is still angry over that*

He had 2 INTs, no time outs left to challenge. It was not a muffed punt. And you can just as well say they had other chances to win, being as that drive was no different. As much as in every case you can say the refs blew it, you can say it was the other team's to loose. And then they would have quite possibly given the ball back to the Eagles. And considering I do not think the era of 45-50 yard game winnign field goals is NOT over for David Akers, he may well have made the game winning kick. And if their defense could stop Westbrook, with 2 broken ribs, they would not have needed to do that. I said the same thing when the Chargers got robbed by Hoculi. At the end of the day, it's YOUR fault for not not taking advantage of chances either way.
Btw, McNabb also had 253 yards, and NO interceptions. He was sacked twice for 13 yards and fumbled once with a 78.1 QB rating and a rushing TD. Matt Ryan had 277 yards, 2 interceptions, and a 68 QB rating, while being sacked twice as well for 19 yards lost. So McNabb did slightly better with less passing yards, but had 25 rushing yards and a touch down with only one turnover. His completions also averaged just over a yard more than Ryan's. Atlanta had chances and blew it. Now personally, part of that is on the coach for nto having enough timeout's left to challenge the play. But Coulda Should Woulda doesn't count, only what happened.
Now then. I thought the Lions would fight the Redskins tough, at least enough to stop the Skins from beating the point spread (it was 12.5 for reference based on sheets I made Thursday before the games). But nope... I think the Bengals at least have one win in them. They play Kansas City and Baltimore, which are out classed by bad college teams. The Lions have no creampuffs left. I am not sold on the Titans. They have played a bunch of nobodies. The Colts suck this year. The only teams on their schedule that have a remote shot are Pittsburgh and maybe Jacksonville or Chicago. Otherwise, they have a super easy schedule. The Giant's also had a week schedule, but now it is getting good. They play the Eagles, and Dallas twice, and the Redskins once before the season is up. I predict they will split the season series with Dallas, trip over the Redskins, and get smacked twice by the Eagles. Their win over Pittsburgh was also not an overwhelming one.
(is currently enjoying the deconstruction of the Cowboys)
Do the Cowboys have a fourth-string quarterback? 😛
Hardy har har. No, I don't believe we do. XD But umm...yea the Titans won. Still undefeated...crazy stuff. Cowboys, however,...are getting romped. =/ But hey my college team...is number 1! Yeeeaaaahhhh! Roll Tide! Too bad we have those LSU Tigers on Saturday though. Get past them...and i'd say we're good to go. But what about that Texas Tech performance last night. Quite impressive. Texas came back though...madness! Crabtree...and Harrell = [the]Aikman and Erving of college football. Mmhmm. 😛 Great weekend of college football.
To conclude my previous post...
I just watched my defending champs roll over "America's Team" 35-14.
So woohoo.
On a side-note, FINALLY @ Alabama #1.
Meh, Cowboys have thrown in the towel... Still don't expect this stretch to be a cake walk for the Giants. The more I watch McNabb for the Eagles though, the more I think he has suffered one injury too many. this team will still probably make the playoffs, but I predict a first round exit and some heads rolling in Philly.
Wtf, Texas Tech SHOULD be Number One as they beat the Number One team. Alabama beat a nobody this week.
Texas Tech should be number 1...because Alabama played a nobody this week? In that case...Penn State should be like...what in the bottom 15 of the rankings considering they didn't even play anyone. >_> But hey Tech is third...so they've got a chance to be number 1. Bama's got LSU this weekend. *shudders*
Texas Tech is #2. Penn State is still #3.
I watched the Falcons blow out the Raiders in Oakland 24-0. To add to that, I don't remember the last time Atlanta ever won a shutout. o.o
I say Texas Tech number one because if you beat the best team in the standings, then YOU are now the best
I watched the Falcons blow out the Raiders in Oakland 24-0. To add to that, I don't remember the last time Atlanta ever won a shutout. o.o
Atlanta really should have been able to hang more points on the Oakland Junior Varsity Raiders, honestly.
I say Texas Tech number one because if you beat the best team in the standings, then YOU are now the best
Heh, yea I know, I know but it doesn't quite work like that. The number 1 team has been knocked off the top atleast 5 times this year mostly by teams, that I believe were not immediately taken straight to number 1[and some never reached that place]. But hey...if Texas Tech can stay number 2, then they'll make it to Miami, and then we'll see if they are worthy of number 1, hmmm?
Falcons...had a shutout. Woo hoo! Sweetness! Oakland JV Raiders. *snickers* Oh Castor...you silly, silly man.

Titans are perfect and so are the Lions: in different ways.
I just realized something... the Falcons held the ball for a RIDICULOUS amount of time against the Raiders... its almost sickening.
45:15
45:15
45:15
45:15
That's right, the Falcons held the ball for over 3 quarters. That means the Jokeland Faders didn't even hold the ball for a whole quarter. To add to that, they had -2 yards in the first half, the worst half played in football since what? 1982 I think... I remember the announcer saying somethign about that... and onlyu 77 total yards at the end of the game. Damn. The TOP makes my head spin.
XDXDXD!! 14:45 for the Jokeland Faders* and 77 yards. Abysmal, just straight up!
*I like this...is it ok if I start using it? xP
Talk about a miserable week. Flyers suck again. Penn State doesn't show up, blowing their chances at the title game even though they may still make the Rose Bowl. Defensive coordinator wouldn't go man to man coverage, and let their zone coverage get ripped up by the pass game. Then, The Eagles put themselves in a pinch. Defense was also asleep at the wheel. They now need to split the remaining division games, and can loose no more than 2 others to keep their hopes alive.
Roll Tide!! Florida at the SEC Champs is going to be scary though. =/ Very scary. >_>
JETS VS PATRIOTS, THURSDAY, PLACE YOUR BETS.
I just watched my defending champs go into Philly and come out with a hard-fought victory (36-31).
So woohoo.
Thursday night? Ha...ok umm...Jets of course. Come on...duh!
I saw Atlanta end their four game losing streak to the Saints, by winning 34-20. It was an impressive defensive effort if I do say so myself. I know we gave up over 300 yards or something like that in the air, but most of that came late when we shut it down and not to mention that brees threw it 50 times, so having over 300 yards on 50+ attempts is kinda expected. We knocked down 13 passes and picked off 3 others, with one becoming a 95 yard pick six ^_^
So, we're 6-3, one game behind Caralina for the NFC South title, and just behind Washington/Tampa Bay due to tiebreakers even though we have the same record, for the Wild Card. Next week is Denver, and they don't exactly have the most stout defense >>
And as for Thursday... I hate the Patriots, but something tells me they'll win. I don't care for the Bretts either (I respect Favre... I'm just not a fan of the Bretts)
Huh, Raiders beat the Jets in overtime a few weeks ago. Patriots can handle them.
