Not your father's Monopoly Board
Ehh...dunno what to think of that circular design and all. The addition of this popular songs bit, just how long will these songs be popular? The other changes...haha. It does look spiffy though!
It seems to me that this isn't meant to be a permanent change at all, and it's just an anniversary edition. In my opinion, who cares how many crazy versions of Monopoly they make, as long as they keep the original going?
Right, this will appeal to all those kids today who are listening to "Bad Day" on their iPods. Just came out and it's already hopelessly dated. It's a terrible idea.
They make like 100 types of monopoly every year and are better off with licensed themes like Nintendo monopoly than "music that was popular before release" monopoly.
nintendo monopoly?
wow love that idea veckums! i wish they had you working there.

No, no, it's not just an idea but it is a reality!
wow thanks FMR, that's cool i didn't know about that.... wait they made that and they're thinking of making more money?
btw the game pieces are cool but it would've been cooler if they were characters.
You're welcome! Glad to help!
i looked at it fast and read it "googo lollipop"
but that's a cool one ... but the corners look dangerous
I remember posting in a thread a few years back when they innovated credit cards into the Monopoly system. I still think that the idea of teaching kids good math skills is a good thing and that the physical money helps them deal with that, but if this game has the credit card system, an older Craig approves.
After all, what better way to teach good budgeting habits than having a game over penalty for screwing with their "imaginary computer money" playfully. Maybe hardwiring the next generation not to be idiots with credit cards will prevent the credit crunch from returning in another few decades.
Oh who am I kidding, it's a round monopoly board which looks like Steve Jobs designed it. This thing will do nothing for no one.

you know what's so funny, king aurther fixed the fued of who sits in the corners with the round table, but i imagine the group who tries to play this round monopoly is going to get confused over where the begining is.... it's such a none practical idea.
just imagine trying to throw the dice, there's no space.
As far as I'm concerned, the only good additions to Monopoly are ones you make yourself. All these updates and variations are fun for novelty value, but how can you stick them?
Wheras things like adding a jenga tower to represent the stock market, with draws on every dice roll, crashing causing a percentage loss? Those can be fun, same as the corperate ones, but this time, it's the players that have added it, thus they actually care. See stealing from the banker.
